model of router: wndr4500

Can you help me?

Kind regards

Assign you a static IP address on the computer?

If you have set it to static, back to obtain an IP address automatically.

The two IP addresses must be in the same range.

It is recommended that you access the router admin page using a computer that is connected directly to the router.

  • WRT1900AC: Cannot access the router remotely

This can be a simple, but I'm scratching my head on it.

I just took a 1900 for my personal use at home. I did a basic auto config (Nothing fancy, just Plain Jane).

As part of the configuration process, I associated the router to a Smart Access account that is different from that assigned to the routers in my church.

For some unknown reason, I can not access the router using the Smart app unless I am accessing Internet through the 1900. If I have Internet access through my Verizon FiOS router, the Smart application tells me that my wireless router is offline.

I missed the 1900 and started from scratch using my office... again... combining the unit on the account. Once again, no luck.

I have a session with my smartphone and tried again with my tablet. Still no luck.

Just to make sure that there is no failure, I tried to access the routers of the Church... and has been able to do without any problem.

Y at - it an option that I forget? I don't remember running into this situation when you configure the 6500 s and 6900 s.

10,168 is also a private IP address.

I recommend that you enter this address that you see on the WRT router in DMZ ISP modems. If there is a reservation on the ISP modem function, book it as well so it can't change it later. This will keep the DMZ address for the WRT router and you should be good here.

  • "Bad Gateway" EA4500 try to access the router after installation the software upgrade

Hello, I have recently updated my installation software to Version 2.0.14212.1.  I realized that I had to upgrade the installation software before upgrading the Firmware to version 2.1.41 (Build 164606).  However, since the upgrade of the installation software, I could not connect to the router on any browser (Firefox and Chrome).  Instead, I get the error message "-502 Bad Gateway.

To add to what chadster766 suggested, after pressing the reset button for 30 seconds, try to turn off the router to give him time to rest. After a while, it turns on and plug a PC for it. Try to access the configuration again to 192.168.1.1 page.

    Hope that helps.

  • Windows 10 devices cannot access the router settings (R6250) page

So, after several hours of troubleshooting (reset the router, firmware flashing, try several devices) I think I discovered why I get the message '192.168.1.1 refused to connect': 10 Windows. All devices not - 10 Windows can connect to Settings page fine, but all of my Windows 10 devices fail and get this message. And on my laptop, it gets the message refused on Windows 10, but when I rebooted the router and tried a linux live usb on the laptop, it connected to the page of the parameters very well. So I think it's some kind of problem between Windows 10 and the router.

Anyone has any advice on how to fix this? I need the settings page to run on Windows 10 as it is the main operating system I use.

    Thank you!

    Have you tried different browsers?

Try turning off the Windows Firewall, temporarily.

  • Cannot access the Router #2

Here is a diagram of my home network.  This is what works.  If I have a device (phone or laptop) connected to the #2 router (wired or wireless), I can browse my network devices and browse the Internet without any problems.  My problem happens the other way.  For example, if I have a device (phone or laptop) connected to the #1 router (wired or wireless) I can see all network devices, with the exception of #2 router and all devices connected to it.

Starting from a device connected to the Router 1 # I can ping LAN ports and Internet #1, #1 wireless bridge and Bridge #2 wireless router.  However, I can not ping the Internet port on the Router #2.  I guess it's a setting on Router #2 just don't have yet.   Here is a list of my equipment:

Wireless routers are the two Linksys WRT 54 G

Wireless bridges are the two Engenius ENS202

Any ideas on why this is happening?

    Turn your router n ° 2 in a switch\repeater.

Changes required for the installation of WRT610n:

    1. Change the SSID of the evocative wireless for the location. Ex: UpstairsWifi
    2. This must be done at the same time on the configuration screen, change the IP address of the router to 192.168.1.254 for you there is an IP address conflict with your main router, disable DHCP and save the settings
    3. Don't forget after that point that the internet port of the router is not to be used only the LAN ports
    4. If you need to reconfigure this router you would use it's new IP address in the browser "192.168.1.254".

This means that your network IP addresses range starts with ' 192.168.1.. " If not the typical another range of IP addresses would begin by "192.168.0. * ' in which case the router's IP address must be changed to 192.168.0.254

If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic.

If you end up with the 3rd party software uninstalled or disabled, make sure that Windows native firewall is active .

Point to a folder that wants to share do right click and choose Properties.

    In the properties

Click on the Security tab shown in the bellows of the photo on the right) and verify that users and their permissions (see photo below Centre and left) are configured correctly. Then do the same for the authorization tab.

When everything is OK, restart the network (router and computer).

    * Note . The groups and users listed in the screen-shoot are just an example. Your list will focus on how your system is configured.

    * Note . All the users who are allowed to share need to have an account on the computers they are allowed to connect to everyone is an account, that means a group of all users who already have an account now as users. This does not mean everyone who feel they would like to connect.

  • E4200 Lan LAN connection - how to access the router

Just bought the E4200 (for a home network) and have implemented as a Lan - Lan connection success. My Siemens Spreadstream DSL modem 6520 provided by Bell Aliant (is a wireless router / and is used as DHCP).  On the E4200 as per instruction changed the IP of E4200 address to 192.168.1.2, turned off the DHCP and NAT set to disabled. The E4200 is linked directly from the SpeedStream ethernet port to ports numbered on E4200 (not the internet port). The SpreedStream also feeds a Linksys switch with 16 ports (SD216).  When I connect a laptop through the new E4200 wirelesss network, I am able to see the rest of my network fine.

When I connect a PC with the CISCO software installed to one of the ports E4200 software cannot access router of the E4200. I type 198.168.1.2 as a web address, but cannot connect. My question is, after all, the background information is... How can I access my new router E4200 to make changes with my lan - lan configuration. I want to be able to add an external drive USD to USB port of the E4200 years set up the account of wireless of comments.

    Kind regards

Change the address LAN IP of the E4200 to 192.168.2.2. Except, however, if 192.168.2.2 is part of the Siemens server DHCP address pool. Check which addresses IP Siemens allows to assign by using DHCP. The E4200 address must not be included.

If you have the latest firmware installed your E4200 takes the bridge mode. In bridge mode, you can use the E4200 as access point connecting with the internet port for your Siemens. This way you can also use network comments and other features that will not or do not fully work with the configuration that you have right now...

  • access to the router, by default admin admin password?

When you try to access the router using default admin admin passwords I can't. Said unauthorized access.

What im I doing wrong? I have not changed the default as ive just installed it?

    Any suggestions?

Well re installed with less haste... it turns out that during the installation of the router refers to own name and password.

You must remove this and replace (if you want) with the so-called default... admin... Admin.

That is the question... Thanks for the help.

  • Failure of firmware WRT54G leaving no access to the router config

I have a WRT54G Router.  Running Vista SP2 64 bit on a laptop computer connected to the router.  When I tried to upgrade the firmware I'm connected wireless.  (I know, please just think it is but do not type it)  During the upgrade, disconnected from the Internet and the upgrade has failed.  I connect right now wireless using someones unsecured network.  I tried to update the firmware to 8.00.7.  Since then, I am unable to access the router config using IP 192.168.1.1.  I read so many posts that I can handle it.  I checked and this is the IP address on display in Vista, (network & sharing, view the State, properties) however I cannot ping as intellectual property.  It expires every time.  I did all resets (10 seconds up to 1 minute) on the router and the power of the cycle etc.  Nothing.  I downloaded the firmware utility and I get a message error every time that it is impossible to get responses from the server.  I tried my password, I think it went due to all the resets, and use admin as password.  I disabled my firewall.  I have Network Magic and when I checked the internet access control it says I am able to do.  Is there a way to disable Network Magic?  May this be the cause?  When this all started, I got my own internet connetion.  I am moving so I unplugged my internet service.  Because I'm just trying to connect to the router locally, should I really to have a live internet connection?  Help, please!  I don't want to buy a new router.  It has been very reliable.  If I don't buy something again, you can recommend something just as reliable.

There have been 2 or 3 times where it looked as if I would be able to connect to config interface and the basic screen firsrt of loads with minimal data and not of clickable links to allow me to change the screens.  The '&' from one of the links that are supposed to appear but do not, is the only thing that appears in this field and if I click it, I either an error in IE that it can not connect, or, it takes me to the screen of Ports with minimal data and I can't move forward from there.  In the upper right corner of the screen, it shows that the firmware version is 8.00.7.  ?????

P.S. Obviously, I only am not computer savvy very so excuse me if I'm missing what is obvious.

    Kevj,

Thank you for your support.  Thank you to tell me that TFTP is tricky because I would have just given up.  Imust have tried 15 times without success yesterday.  I have run this morning.  Try first worked.  Go figure!

    Thanks again,

  • WRT54GS V5 - router to access the problem after reset

My router worked with the exception of not being able to add a new laptop to wireless access. I suspect that my original password may have been messed up in the last two years, I've used it. I decided that I had to reset to the factory settings and start over, adding MAC addresses and passwords reset.

After several attempts, I started to enter a password loop where she'd just off the coast of the verification of the settings and come back with a new password box. I have tried both direct access through 192.168.1.1 and using the V5.2 Setup disk.

After these failures, I checked your forums and elected to try a hard reset by:

    (1) power off router, Modem & computer.

    (2) disconnect all cables from the router.

    (3) power of router, enable 3 m restart

    (4) press on & hold reset for a minute, watching the power button flashes. Observed and released continues to Flash. After a few minutes, unplugged the power supply to the router.

    (5) PC cable reconnected to the #2 port. I hit the brakes the cable Modem as I suspected my computer trying to autostart AOL may have had a problem.

    (6) set the router under tension and allowed him several minutes to restart, then power & started the PC.

    (7) indexed in 192.168.1.1 and it entered my screen AOL (with AOL not connected, & no modem connection).

    (8) start of Linksys screen seemed to ask for password. I entered "admin", then after a break but I have once again the password screen. Reinstated 'admin' a few times more.

    (9) even and repeated steps 7 & 8 again with the same results.

    (10) using the CD Lynksys v 5.2 access attempt.  -with the same results: a password loop.

I concluded that I needed to update my firmware before trying again. I managed to download the file for the V5, but when I tried to run I had a matter of Windows 'OPEN WITH?'

I have absolutely no idea and was not able to find an answer in this forum, although I don't know that there is somewhere.  If I can't find it, though, there is not. It took me a few hours to find how to add a new topic in a post.

I hope that someone can suggest something. The router works fine with systems that were connected to the front.  I also noticed a reference to the evolution of one of the parameters to 192.168.2.1 (or something). I'll have to try to find this page.

This Site is very difficult to navigate. I also tried copy and paste comments to the WORD, in a format that is more practice/more dense with some difficulty because of the color of the text. The Site is pretty (and I'm an industrial Designer) but the function must always take priority.

    Thanks in advance,

    Norm

The reason why the admin does more work as router password because you have setup a router password, not knowing, in the first time install you your router... If you remember the router password when you used all first your installation CD to install your router then enter this password...

If you don't remember the password, then you need to reset the factory settings (I know that you have already reset the router) is...

Press and hold the button to reset for a minute... Release the reset button... Unplug the router power cable, wait 1 minute and re-connect the power cable...

Make sure that your computer is set to "Obtain IP address automatically", disable any firewall, the security software on the computer...

Adjust the browser settings - open an IE, click on tools > Internet Options, and then delete all files, cookies, history, forms... GoTo 'Connections', make sure that never Dial a connection is selected, click on network settings and make sure that all the options are unchecked... Once you are finished, click OK... Close IE and reopen...

Open an Internet Explorer browser on your computer (desktop) wired page. In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER... Let the empty user name & password use admin lowercase... See if it accepts...

If the above fails, connect another computer to the router and see if you can access the router web interface...

  • WEP and wireless router to access the page problems

Our office recently acquired a virus and everything had to be cleared and reloaded on here. Then I thought about what is going on, all the regular parameters for all that would be enabled by default. When I need my WEP key for my laptop and now a console Wii, Office won't let me access the router with the 192.168.x.x settings page in the address bar, so get the wep key.

I type in the default "admin" value in the user name and password, try to put in place and still does not work. I tried other forms of passwords/user names and have NO idea of what he wants to use me.

I'm doing something wrong, or is there something wrong with my computer it won't let me access this point? I tried other things, but he still sends me back to the IP address page. I'm not very good with this encryption stuff, so I hope someone can help!

Welcome to the Cisco home community.

Try to leave the empty user name and "admin" as password (without the quotes).

Your user settings should be intact and possible even after a re - format PC.

If it still does not work, reset the router, journal with the information identified above and re configure from scratch.

    Don't post back the updates.

  • E8350 in Bridge mode allow me access to the router with 192.168.1.1

I have a small home network with the E8350 (AC2400) and a PK5001A of Qwest ActionTec modem.  I needed to put the router in Bridge mode to enable NAT in the modem works properly.  By simply disabling the NAT in the E8350 network broe. Once I placed the E8350 in bridge mode, I lost connectivity via 192.168.1.1.  The network seems to work correctly, I can't access the router remotely.  Is this normal or is it a different setting I'm missing?

When you have done this, you probably have a new ip address of the primary router. See what she is looking at the main router connections or by manually adjusting it 192.168.1.2 or some other ip that is in your network. If the primary router uses a different subnet as 192.168.0.x, then you must use an IP also in this same range.
