Access to COMPUTER resources model

Has anyone written a model for access to RESOURCES.

I'm looking for the design of a database containing the details of the hardware (CPU boxes, display screens, keyboards etc), software, software resources (program disks or download locations), software licenses (e.g. how many computers can be installed from this programe CD), newspaper (to remind HIM of the staff when the renewal of licences) the hardware maintenance renewal date etc.).

Ideally, each piece of equipment has its own number of assets and a users facility would consist of a selection of processor box. screen, keyboard and mouse so that the software installed as well as the details of the license.

I have a scenario of contract of license/support of different for each computer installed in my company without a central database, the registration details.

  • Windows automatically restarts constantly, cannot access the system restore point, cannot access the computer in safe mode

    Hi all

For the not 24 hours I tried to access my computer in normal mode. When I turn on the pc, it says "configuration data 1 of 3 steps...". 0% complete"he never spent 0% and within seconds, it automatically restarts and starts again. It's so frustrating! I have a windows vista pc (purchased in ' 06). I can only access my desktop in SafeMode.

I tried to perform a system restore, but not like he says "recovery disk is not the restore point selected. What should I do? I tried to manually create a restore point, but cannot access the system and Maintenance, while in safe mode. I can't do anything but literally access the internet. How can I get Windows back to factory settings it is with these limited resources? I have a Dell reinstallation DVD.

I searched my programs and found that recently Windows automatically updated and downloaded "Microsoft Powerpoint Viewer" and "for 2007 Office system Compatibility Pack '. Now, I think it has something to do with it, because they were the most recent updates, before the pc crashed. But I also fear that it may be a virus, which has completely hijacked this PC. How am I supposed to get rid of a bug, if I can't even get the necessary antivirus?

Sorry for the ranting, but it's so stressful when my pc is completely down. Please, please please help me. Thank you in advance for reading this same!

I continue to receive Norton Security reports that a download with the pre RadioWMPCoreGecko fix. followed by various suffixes like dll '19.dll' or 05.Marco, 06 08 etc... takes a lot of computer resources. Can you explain what it is, as I understand it, it is called by Firefox.

This DLL can be part of a Firefox extension.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

Hi guys. on the macbook in system preferences > sharing there is a box at the top that says "computers on your local network can access your computer at:" means that other people can access my computer?

"Your local network" is the computers that are on the same router as you. At home, this is your family.

to: "computer name" is the name of the computer, they will see.

Access is provided for items you decide to activate, usually file sharing. For sharing of files, ONLY the items that you specify in the file sharing dialog box details panel is accessible and be only users you EXPLICITLY list by username.

No, it's a scam, ignore the call.

Just hang up, they are trying to steal your information or to install a virus on your PC.

  • How can I check if my computer is ok? I got an unsolicited phone call and allowed them to access my computer

This morning, I got a phone call from an Asian man, saying: he has worked with microsoft, I found it very difficult to understand what he was saying and to rehearse a lot, he mentioned "Alureon" and says that my computer is one of the computers on crash today... He then wen on say that they should do support remotely. to help solve the problem, stupidly and against everything I've known I have allowed him... .it all seemed very alarming... it said my computer was about to crash in a few moments and I had to buy the red shield to protect... I hung up, but they called back... ultimately I told them I wasn't buying any and at this point, he got quite angry and asked me why I was wasting his time. How can I check my computer to make sure they did not hurt? and they can access my computer later? I'm asuming that Microsft had nothing to do with it.

    Hello

    It's a scam.

If you gave them remote access and you do Internet banking, contact your bank, explain, and change passwords.

If you use your online credit card, cancel and get a new one issued to you.

And the only way that willl you know that you are free to them is to backup your data and do a clean install of your operating system.

Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.

Microsoft does not contact you unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do.

I have a program that everytime I run it it comes up with a pop up with the message - an unidentified program wants to access your computer.

Then I say yes I want this program to run.  How do I get Windows Vista to accept this program as legitimate and the pop up appears every time?

Is there a view or a panel that shows the authorized software?

    Thank you

    Dave

    Hi Dave Brougham.

The message is part of the UAC (User Account Control) and is intended to inform you that a program should be high administrative) privileges to run.

An unidentified program is one that is not a valid digital signature from its publisher to ensure that the program is what it claims to be. This does not necessarily indicate danger, as many programs more alumni and legitimate do not have signatures. However, you must exercise extra caution and only allow this program to run if you obtained it from a trusted source, such as the original CD or a publisher site.

If the program is legitimate, then the better source, you can consult the manufacturer for updates when the application is aware of the security protocols in Windows Vista.
