See if your ISP (ISP) gives you access to Webmail to read your mail on their server from another computer.

When you reply to a post in a salon political discussion of yahoo, I suddenly get the message... you have been disconnected from the chat because you have accessed YAHOO! MESSENGER from another computer or device.  I did not as far as I know?  Thank you, Charles

    Hello

The message "you have disconnected because you access Yahoo! Messenger from another computer or device." appears when you try to connect twice with the same Yahoo! ID. Someone knows your password and he at the same time connecting with you or you have Yahoo Multi Messenger and accidentally logging in twice. One solution is to change your Yahoo! password or not to use Yahoo Multi Messenger with the same ID.

    Good luck!

  • Removing addresses from Windows Live e-mail from another computer.

I changed from Windows Mail to Windows Live Mail, when I upgraded to Windows 7. Thinking that I had 'lost' some emails on WM, I go to the House of a friend and typed in my Windows Mail e-mail address and password (same as WLM) and there I could see the emails that were sent to me. Now the problem is that copies of all my emails are sent to my friend's computer and I don't know how to remedy this situation. She no longer uses WM itself but all I want to do is remove my data on his computer. It may be simple, but I feel stupid not knowing how to proceed. Grateful for any help. Thank you.

    Cathy12,

You must post this question to a more appropriate forum/discussion group. This forum addresses issues of update of Windows Vista . If the laptop has Vista installed: Windows Vista General Discussion
BTW, if you access your e-mail via a web site such as Yahoo/AOL/Hotmail etc, you log them via the browser.
So all you need is your user name and password for these sites.
If you access your e-mail via a mail client then said client is already configured to allow you access.
If the mail client is not installed on the laptop that you mentioned, you need to install and configure the same whether on your
    "personal computer".
The location that you access the e-mails is essentially irrelevant.

  • I use Outlook Express to get my email. I will be visiting my daughter in Australia for a month may not take my PC with me. Is there a way I can access my e-mail from his computer?

How do others read their emails via Outlook Express when they are away from their computer at home?

Most ISP (Internet Service Providers) also provide Webmail online.

Check if your ISP doesn't do that.

Are they doing, wherever you are > go to the website of your ISP > Webmail > log in with your account details of configuration of Outlook Express Email (username and password) > read/delete/create a message from there.

  • I am not able to access a shared printer from another computer on my network. How to solve this?

Recently, I replaced my NETGEAR wired router with a NETGEAR WNDR3300 Wireless Gateway.  While I am able to share internet access both wired and wireless, on my PC I have shared my printer and several directories.  My wife's PC does not show my PC in the network, but if I ping my PC against hers, it solves the IP address, but the ping times out in vain.  This network allows to work with the original router.  I show PC my wife on the network on my PC.  Since my PC can not be seen on his PC, I can't add the printer shared on his PC.  How to solve this?

Configure the firewall on each computer to trust the local network and allow the sharing of files and printer.

More than one firewall running is likely to cause problems.  Select McAfee or Windows Firewall and disable it.

I suspect that McAfee needs to be configured to approve the new router network.  I don't know what version of what McAfee product, you have, but here's how to do it on the program McAfee Security Center provided by Comcast:

1 double-click on the Red M in the system tray.
    2. click on Internet & network .
    3. click on Configure .
    4. by firewall protection is enabled , click Advanced .
    5. click on networks .
    6. If your router network does not trust , click Network, click on edit and select Trusted then in the menu.

Nope.  It can be installed and used on a single computer.

  • How can I access an e-mail account on TB from another computer without delete/modify how the other account is configured

I want to be able to access one another e-mail account is set up as a POP account on TB, but I don't want to change the way the other e-mail account is configured. My colleague and I often need to access each others emails. Is it simply a matter of adding the e-mail account on my computer as a POP, without moving his e-mails? Or it would require to change his account to IMAP? When I created his account of TB, I did a POP so there is no messages on the server at the moment. What I don't want, it's for his e-mails from his computer to mine.
(He's new to TB and making crazy him - I already did that when I went it to Outlook)

    Thank you

Is it simply a matter of adding the e-mail account on my computer as a POP

Yes. And don't forget to check the option to leave messages on the server before accessing the account.

That said, I think it's a very bad idea to share an account like this.
Note that this will give you access to on behalf of your colleague.
In addition you do not store only your own messages on your computer, but also messages of all your colleague.
The same is true for him if he does the same thing.

  • Could not get Outlook Express to send a copy to my server, so I can access it from another computer

I can not Outlook Express to send a copy of my e-mail messages to my server (Charter.net) so I can access it from another computer.  I tried to check the block that says "Send copy to the server", but that did not work.  Any suggestions?  I'm not a true computer person so that the answers should be very details.  Thank you.

The messages on your computer now, you would have to back to yourself, and then they would be on the server.  For the future, go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced and check the leave a copy of messages on the server.  Do it with another machine in order to get the messages on both machines.  Then also set one of them to delete messages from the server after a few days, so that they accumulate and fill the mailbox you.

  • What should I do to be able to access my email (outlook express) from another computer?

    Outlook express e-mail

What should I do to be able to access my email (outlook express) from another computer?  I don't see new emails.  I want to be able view outlook express the same when I view it on my main computer.

In fact, I'll leave the window (use to be called Outlook express) mail to webmail.

If Cox is your provider, the only way to deliver the messages on the server must send to yourself, which of course will screw up all the message headers.
