Accidentally deleted network card

I just bought the Cisco Linksys WRT54G2 provided with the Cisco Network Magic Pro. There is a map that shows every time that a new device connects to my router. Then I connected with my Ipod touch.

Accidentally, I followed my Ipod touch as an intruder and removed the card. Now my ipod touch cannot find the network "Linksys" but "unable to join the network.

Please help thanks

Hi, disable the network lock, and then try to connect your iPod again.

I suggest that you use a friends computer to go to your computer manufacturers website and search for your model number for the network vista drivers

Download and save to drive flash and then reinstall them using your computer

  • I accidentally deleted my qualcomm atheros drivers

    Hello

I have a V5 571 and I accidentally deleted the Qualcomm's atheros drivers. I use Wifi only so I can no longer connect to the internet. Where can I get the drivers from to restore this back to normal?

    Hello

I managed to launch the setup on my laptop without any error.

I just unzipped the archive in a folder and ran the setup.exe from the install_cd folder. I do not run the setup.exe directly from the archive. I first extract archive somewhere.

Alternatively, you can extract archive wireless driver only in a folder.

Then go to Device Manager (just write in Boot Device Manager). Here, you should see the network card with a yellow question mark or something similar. Right-click on it and select update drivers---> browse my computer for driver software---> select the folder where you extracted archive and then click Next. If the corresponding drivers and you did it correctly, it should install your wireless driver.

  • Satellite Pro P300 - 13 M - how to replace the network card?

    Hello I have the Satellite Pro P300 - 13M.

My sister fell on my UTP cable and so he was taken out by force and because of that "holding-pings" on the front of the port are bent or broken, so whenever I put in a cable with traction slightess or accidental poke I'm new offline...

I'm out of my warranty period, is it possible to fix this? Can I replace it myself?
USB network adapters are a viable solution to replace if I can't replace it?

    Help > _

To resolve this issue, you must replace the motherboard. The network card or a network location is soldered on the motherboard and cannot be traded.

In addition, it would be not covered by warranty. This isn't a matter of Toshiba, this is caused by the customer.

However, if you want to repair you must contact an ASP or search you on eBay for a card mother of second hand.

  • Can what kind of network card I add?

CTRL + Alt + S gives me this information, but none of this is acknowledged by HP support as a valid system site search. I just want to know what type of expansion of this machine slot has, so I can order a new network card. If someone can tell me how to get either the HP support site search to work, or tell me how to determine the right type of NETWORK card to buy, I would be grateful.

It has 3 PCIe x 1 and a PCIe x 16 graphics slots. You can buy a PCIe NIC card (called Networ adapter) and add to your machine, something similar to one of the following (for wired network)

  • Close the network card?

I have a machine that I have leveled off for XP Pro SP3 because I have a few HW record that ONLY works on XP.

I want comtrol machine including = WOL WakeOnLAN remotely.

I had an old IBM Thinkcenter used for recording HW, but I want a bit more powerful machine of Noah - let's call it MC.

The MC has been running Windows 7 before but now ranked out of XP Pro SP3 and it works fine - with the exception of WOL installation.

I simply does not work and I see that the network adapter is SHUT OFF when the machine is turned off - the old IBM ThinkCenter I can always see the LED light when it is turned off.

I beleave there are new drivers for the network card, but I checked the settings on the parameters WOL and I did also the settings in the BIOS.

Still no light in the LED on the back of the RJ45 of computers. Also I see no light on the swichport where the MC cable is inserted into the switch.

It is on the Ethernet card on board and it is a NVIDIA nForce 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet with "drivers".

What can be wrong here and how I can fix the problem?

You may have read my first post that I deleted later because I had completely misread your post before responding.  As I said then, Wake on Lan is controlled by the motherboard and firmware of the NETWORK adapter, it is not dependent on the operating system, a compatible computer without any OS installed WOL can be started by WOL providing that it is properly enabled in the BIOS and NETWORK card firmware.   Windows (or other operating system) really has nothing as such to do with function Wake on Lan, the extent to which any OS with WOL is limited because it can enable the feature in the firmware of the NETWORK adapter through the drivers or other utilities provided by the manufacturer of the device.  If it worked before then you know that the computer is able to do, was not because Windows 7 has been installed, it worked because it has been correctly configured in the firmware of the NETWORK adapter and the BIOS.  When you installed Windows XP it is most likely did not have the drivers for the NETWORK card and it may have reset the NIC to default settings that cannot be reset correctly with the drivers you have installed later.  Have you installed the card mother/chipset drivers?  They may be needed for other drivers work correctly.

Wake on Lan has everything to do with the BIOS, it is implemented by the motherboard.  If your computer is capable of WOL (which we know that it is) there is an option for it in the BIOS, it might be under a different name, like "Power Up on PCI device" or something else.  If you don't see a power management Option in the BIOS, it might be in the advanced settings, it's there somewhere.  If Windows can have changed WOL BIOS settings during installation is something that I don't know, but I can tell you that Windows can change some settings in the BIOS, you can adjust the timers BIOS to start the computer at scheduled time so who knows what he might be able to change.

  • Message 'internal network card has been disabled to optimize the battery life' will not go away.

Whenever I have unplug my laptop, the message "your internal network card has been disabled to optimize battery life.". Lately, the message doesn't go away, even when I plug my laptop back in. When I move my cursor over the message, it is an icon of mouse 'pending' for me and I am unable to click on it. I believe that this is due to a virus or accidentally modify me a file, but I don't know which and I don't know how to get rid of this problem.

I knew it was a Dell and find out how to disable the message (which is supposed to appear), but do not know why, when you connect what you are disconnect, the message does not go far - she used to go?  It seems to be a useful informational message and not an error message.

I can't seem to find information on your system on the Dell WEB site to check your network drivers, so I hope someone will have the magic bullet for your situation.  There are the user forums on the Dell WEB site where you could ask your question to be read by all people of Dell.

If you think that malicious software might be involved, I would start with this:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/

    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

The scans by operating clean, then to solve any problems.

Do not guess what the problem might be - understand and resolve it. I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!

Also accidentally uninstalled "multimedia audio devices" under "other devices" in Device Manager. I think that was my realtek audio. I can't restore the hard drive to the system and did I not the xp installation disc. How to make a comeback?

    Hi Saikkussu,

Usually, if uninstall you it, by doing a reboot it will end up.

You can also visit the manufacturer's website and try to download the drivers for your card.

Also check in windows update for hardware updates.

  • HELP Please: problems connecting to Google Chrome or Internet Explorer: think it has to do with my network cards

My computer works perfectly except that I can't connect to the internet using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. Internet works fine.  I have another computer that is connected to the same network, and it works fine.  Also my signal strength is optimal. When I try to go on Google Chrome, it says that the web page is unavailable & the reason why is error: 105 (net: ERR_NAME__NOT_RESOLVE) the server is not found.  When I try to use the Internet, I get this message:

Device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (Code 31)
I've tried everything and looked at other forums. I went into Device Manager and tried to update the driver, but whenever I do it just says that all updates are already made.
I really feel that my problem has something to do with network cards. When I go to Device Manager and discovered the network adapters 13 different adapters appear. The 1st is Atheros AR5007 802. 11b / g Wireless Adapter and it looks like it works very well but there are 11 different (Microsoft 6to4 adapt #10) (all have different # s, 10,11,12,14,15,16,17,18,20,5,9) there is (NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller)
I think the problem is with the Microsoft 6to4 adapters because win I right click & then click on PROPERTIES of each adapter says: State of the device, this device is not working properly because windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) So, is to "find solutions", says & when I do that nothing happens, a message flashes on the screen that says: "Could not load driver software" and that windows is looking for information, but nothing ever happens.
Can some1 please help me! My computer worked fine and both Google Chrome and still worked and then out of the blue it just stoped working. Any information would be very useful

    wisports,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

You have found the source of your problems.  You must remove or uninstall, all the cards of 6to4.  Also delete everything that said map Tunnel or card miniport WUN.  Also uninstall or disable, Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6) Properties tab on existing network cards.

Once you have done these things, restart the computer and make sure that the 6to4 adapters does not return.

Let us know how it works for you.

  • I accidentally deleted my desktop folder

Well, I was trying to make space on my computer so I was deleting stuff when I accidentally deleted my folder on the desktop, is not in her recycle bin but I emptied before it, so now I realized everything in my office as all my icons and other things disappeared and I don't think I can get it back by returning to another point , because I formatted my data disc, this problem is for vista and thnk u for the support

If you have formatted your disc after you delete the folder, it is not possible to recover the files and folders lost, but we can try.

If you have Vista Business, Vista Ultimate or Vista Enterprise, you can be lucky.  They have so-called saves shadow copies, which are deleted or modified files that can be recovered in case changes/deletions made by mistake.  http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Windows-Vista/features/shadow-copy.aspx more information about how to use this feature to: http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/howdoi/?p=145.

If you have Vista Basic or Premium of Vista, shadow copies is not available; However, there is an alternative that is free and the shadow copies feature called Shadow Explorer. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/recover-files-with-shadow-copies-on-any-version-of-windows-vista/.  Although it will not help you this time, it could very well save you in case this happens again.

In case this does not work (not all files are available through shadow - it occurs periodically), here are some additional free recovery programs that might help:

    http://www.munsoft.com/EasyDriveDataRecovery/

    http://techpaul.WordPress.com/2008/06/23/how-to-recover-your-lost-files/

The files are not really deleted until they are crushed (although they are no longer available through conventional methods).  If you decide to try these recovery programs, you should stop using your drive hard immediately in order not to replace the data that you are trying to recover.  He slave on another PC and launch the recovery of this PC.  Even now you have definitely lost some of them if you use the same PC.  If you can not do this (slave on another PC), you run the risk of overwriting the data with every action you do on the PC (but you may still be able to recover some or most or even all files - it's a matter of luck).

Only you can decide if the data is important enough to take the PC to an expert data recovery to recover files (they will have better programs and hardware to do that none of us do, and I've provided above).  Do NOT go to the Geek Squad or one of these centers of store-, they generally don't know what they are doing - it take for expert data recovery.  It will cost you a little and they generally offer no guarantees.  The decision is yours.

Good luck and I hope this helps!
