Accidentally deleted the music file

So, I accidentally deleted my music file while trying to back up my photos and music. And it's gone missing. The record little colored which used to be he went there. Nothing else that this white page, that Microsoft uses when there is nothing there is left. And now I can not playany MP3 files on my computer because he repeats to me that music has disappeared. Can someone tell me how to recover the file?

DocCeCe,

As I understand it in your post, it seems you deleted your music folder located in your user folder. If this is incorrect, please specify.

If you simply move your file to the trash by clicking on delete, then you can restore it:

http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/fe1e050f-F279-4404-b895-c34b5c5398591033.mspx

If you were holding SHIFT when you deleted then you have made a permanent removal where you can try a restore from snapshot Service. For more details, see the following article:

  • Why is it when I delete a music file in media player that it won't disappear

Why is it when I delete some music files on windows media player that they won't go away?

    Hello billyvidrine,

    Thank you for the question!

It is disheartening to know that have problems you with Windows Media Player. As I understand it, you are not able to remove Windows Media Player music files.

I need to ask you some questions to help you best.

    1. do you get an error message when you try to delete the music files?

    2. were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?

This problem occurs if the Windows Media Player library database is corrupted. Try these steps and check the result.

Method 1: Clear the Windows Media Player database
has. click on Start > type run > click run > Type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Playerand then click OK.
    b. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    c. restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

Method 2: If the problem persists, delete the Windows Media Player database cache files

    a. click on Start > type run > click Run > type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft , and then click OK.
    b. Select the folder Media Playerand then click on Delete on the file menu.
    c. restart Windows Media Player.
Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

    d. check if the problem persists.

  • Export previews as JPEGS, once you have deleted the original file.

I deleted the original files, but I need to get some pics of lightroom and can be used in jpeg format. Is there a way simple-ish to do this on a PC?

    In the menu.

    Library > previews > build 1:1 previews.

In the settings of Catalog under the file handling tab, change the setting to automatically discard 1:1 previews to never.

Caution: keep for all your images 1:1 previews will eat plenty of hard drive to work and is probably not a good solution for the 'what if' scenario here. I recommend a backup strategy of the original files in offline mode, so you can rebuild a complete overview, if you accidentally delete the work files.

I accidentally deleted the directory "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Microsoft ' my 64 bit Windows Vista system.  How can I get it back?

    original title: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Microsoft

    You can try this program:

    http://www.filehippo.com/download_recuva/

Use the deep Scan option. It may take some time.

The System File Checker can repair some of the files in there, but probably not all.

It's probably at least some of the files that have been overwritten. so I would say the the more safe thing to do is to reinstall Windows.

  • Sansa e260 deleted my music files

I deleted my file containing all my music. The music is always on the piece. I can play and there is no problem with my drive, but I can't see the music files, once I have plug into my PC. I just drag-and - déposer edit my songs. can it be fixed?

    Is the 4G 2 = e260

Well, if you have deleted the music folder, why you expect to see the files?

Try changing the USB Mode in the settings. There are 3 modes, PSG, MSC and Auto. Do not use Auto. Manually select the MTP or MSC. Search for your files. So always invisible, switch to the other mode, they should be visible now. Your computer can only see the files when you are connected in the same mode in which they were transferred in, not the other.

Another little thing... on the e200, the music folder series (and others) are "hidden". You must set Windows to "Show the hidden files and folders" to see them.

    Hi AmjadPasha,

If you are referring to a local file, you can check the trash.

If you are referring to a network share, then there is very little that can be done.

You can try using recovery software/services of third parties to retrieve the file.

You can use your favorite search engine to search for third-party software.

Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Z420: accidentally deleted the recovery partition

Accidentally deleted the Partition D:Recovery on my win machine 7 Z420. I have HP recovery disks: System Recovery, Driver Recovery DVD, 8.1Pro operating system and operating system Win 7 pro sp1.  The use of these will recreate the partition D automatically or do I have to do this first.  I have the orientations of the white paper "Restoring Microsoft windows 7 on the z420 ', but I was told that it will not recreate the recovery partition.  There is no need to restore everything if in fact I still have until the end without disk recovery D and files?

There is no way to recreate the recovery partition on the z420.  The recovery disk media that I bought with the Z420 does not include this information.  It will only recover the original operating system and drivers and software that came with the system.  I spoke with HP z workstation support today.

  • The music files are being duplicated

The music becomes duplicated for any reason, are another. Is their program on them to stop this or is their thing I do to stop the progress of duplication of these files and others?

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes on the computer before the show?
    2. what anti-virus software is installed on the computer?
    3. what player you use to play music?
4 is the issue limited only with the music files?

If you use windows on the computer media player, you can try the methods provided and check.

    Method 1:
I suggest that you try to reset the media library, also note the reset of the library will make you lose all the counts to play and possibly ratings too. Then, follow these steps:
    a. restart the computer.
    b. Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. If its status is started, double-click on the service and click on stop.
    c. Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
    d. in this file, rename the old Media Player like Media Player folder. If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.

Also, you can find the link to display the files and folders.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/show-hidden-files

    Method 2:
You can also try to stop the music files to be automatically added to your library by following the steps.
    a. in Windows Media Player, on the Tools menu, click Options.
    b. on the Player tab, clear the files of music to add to the library when played check box.

    Method 3;
Alternatively, you can run a Microsoft security scanner to make sure that the computer is free of infection by the virus:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
    WARNING:
If you run the antivirus program that is infected by the virus scan will get deleted. Therefore, reinstall the program. Also if the files and folders are affected by the virus, they could even get

You cannot remove a process, you probably just stopped it.  In the Task Manager (where you have completed the process), click file | New task and in the dialog box that opens type "Explorer" and press ENTER.
