• iBooks on iOS 10. Useless!

  Well, after the major failure of ios 9.3 that ruined my meticulously organized library, I finally went to iOS10 today. Just to know that nothing has changed. I have almost 4K of ePub files on my ipad air2 and iBooks is pretty useless to me now.

  Impossible to add pounds more, can not read or organize my library. Most of the time I can't open all iBooks.

  Had to go to the Kindle app for reading, is it not ironic?

• iBooks on IOS 9.3.1will does not sync between my iPhone and iPad

  Have an Air of iPad and iPhone 6s both with IOS 9.3.1. My problem is that the bookmarks, notes and reading position will not no synchronization between the two devices.

  On both devices one have the iCloud Drive iBooks parameter WE and iBooks settings synchronize bookmarks / notes and sync collections are also lit. I tried to disconnect the two devices on the iTunes and App Store and connection iCloud and back without any difference. I also rebooted both devices and enabled the synchronization options and the turn it back on, but I was not able to make it work.

  Cane anyone help me with this problem.

  Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

  • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
  • Press and hold the Home button
  • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

  Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

  If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

• cannot find 'aA' option to change the theme in ibook in ios 9.2

  While reading in ibook if I want to change the theme say, sepia, then we should be able to adapt using the button 'aA' at the top, but in my ibook app, there is no option, instead, I see only a brightness adjustment button. Please help how can I activate the option to switch theme in ibook.

  If you get the option will depend on the book - no-iBookstore ePub won't get the option, and real ibooks not all will have it. If the book supports, you will see the AA (and icons to search and bookmark) top right

  Hello, I am looking for help for iBooks and iOS 10.  Before iOS 10 I could read my iBook in landscape and actually looked like a book I would read if I bought it, but now if I read a book and a landscape I'm not seeing that more in iBooks, now that I'm in class place my iPad iOS 10.   I understand that when read your ebook in iBooks for iOS 10 reviews landscape you're used to seem a little different in the version update of iBooks. With the updates and upgrades will come from small changes in the way in which your apps to display its contents. If you are still able to read the book through view of landscape, this we know that the application works as expected. You can try to adjust the appearance of the iBooks app to have it look exactly as you wish during playback in landscape mode.
  
  

  Change the appearance of your books

  You can adjust some features of some ePub books or some books created with iBooks author, including:
  Size of the font. Choose from the included fonts. For the moment, cannot install and use custom fonts.
  Text color and the background. In iBooks 4.0 or later, you can use three themes: white, sepia and night. (Select option at night to read books in the dark.) Turn on the Auto-nuit theme to automatically switch to the theme of the night in low light.
  Scrolling. In iBooks 3.2 or later, you can use the view to scroll to read your books in a continuous vertical scrolling instead of turning pages. This feature is available in any theme.
  Share ideas with friends. In iBooks for iOS 3.0 or later and in iBooks for Mac, you can share the highlights and the selections on Facebook, Twitter, Messages or Mail (United States only).
  You cannot change the appearance of the PDF documents or audio books.
  Not all of these features work with EPUB files created with improved author or some other ePub iBooks.

• Why the application iBooks iOS doesn't support a wishlist?

  iBooks for iOS is available for several years and I still have to add to my wishlist iTunes Office books. The App Store iTunes wishlist does not show books and the iBook App does not appear on my iPad or iPhone wish list, which means that I have to go to my desktop system to look at my list of gifts.

  Apple products are supposed to be user friendly, so come on Apple there must be a way to add support for the wishlist for books to one or two of these App

• Problems previewing InDesign CS5.5 exported EPUB in Apple iBooks, on an iOS device.

  I have problems of creation of EPUB when I use my document InDesign CS 5.5 of my first EPUB book, as a template to create my two other EPUB books.

  My client gave me a job that forced me to learn how to do ePub files - and I'm still learning.  I have created three books in Design CS 5.5, for fixed PDF page, with an array of interactive content and a regular EPUB export, with automatic formatting of reperfusion and automated table of contents. These books were not created for printing.

  After that I created the premiera and exported successfully to an EPUB, which previewed fine free Adobe additions, I used the first document InDesign CS 5.5 as a model to create the other two publications.  These books have been around 100 pages or less, with little or no imposed jpeg images except covers three books, so I have not created a Book.indb for each publication.  Each book is made in files unique InDesign with their own unique cover on their first page art.

  When my client in preview the three books on his iPad in iBooks, all three books show the cover of the first book, when we see them on the set of iBooks library.  Then, when you open them, you see the correct cover for this particular book and the correct inner pages.

  When I open each InDesign file and open the tabbed file information dialog box, I have a title of different document for each of the three different books.  When I export to EPUB, the Option to Export EPUB dialog box pops up and I chose "include Document metadata."  I entered the name of the Publisher and a separate for each book Unique identifier, when I export.

  After I sent the three files ePub to my iPod Touch, all three presented themselves in my library iBooks, but when we see them on the shelf of the library that they have the first cover of the book on all three.  So, I have an overview of redundant coverage on the library shelf, the iBooks app icons, running in Apple iOS.

  I have two books by Elizabeth Castro on creating ePub with InDesign files.  I will read more, especially the part about the preparation of your EPUB for Apple iBook, on iOS.  But I thought I'd share my problem here to see if anyone has a solution for me.  Thank you.

  I often find myself answering my own questions, but I'll do once again, this time, while others can learn.  When you export to EPUB in InDesign CS 5.5, a diolog of the Options to Export EPUB appears.  Under "EPUB", select "Image file existing use" and choose the file that was used on the first page of the InDesign document for the new cover of the book.

  This feature can cause human error inbedded if you use a book filled with Indesign as a model to create other books because even if you have placed a new cover at the beginning of the book, export options was still chosen for the previous book coverage file you worked on.

  In fact, I got the answer to my problem with the help of InDesign Menu, when InDesign CS 5.5 is released.

• iPhone iBooks search function does not

  When I try and search for books based on research of the my iPhone iBooks app, it gives me a trend of research but when I try and look for something, anything, no search results don't come.

  Sometimes, it takes me to this menu weird when I want search who has a 'back' option (this option brings back me to the regular search window if you're wondering what it does), a search bar and a list of research trends. If I try and look over there, I get research suggested, but even if I choose one of those, I get nothing but "a trend of research" screen again.

  By selecting one of the trends research is the only way I can get results.

  I have noticed that the problem today.

  Since installing iOS 9.3 iBooks became useless.

  There are a few bugs MASSIFS in ibooks iOS... Sorting is completely broken. Sort by date in iTunes and you books on the iPad will appear in a random order. • iBooks using iCloud synchronization does not work.

  I can't make this work. All of my devices have enabled iCloud iBooks synchronization. Delete a PDF in iBooks on my Mac, he asks what I want to remove it from everywhere, I say yes, but it removes not other devices.   I have the same problem on my two iPads Air, Air2. IBooks after iOS 9.3 upgrade freezes constantly. Even if I managed to open it, crashes. My meticulously organized more than 4K books are now in chaos, all the sorting is lost. Half of them are without lids, have no idea how much is lost.

  I tried to reload and re-sync, nothing works. It's the same thing with my iPad 2 couple years ago when Apple has released one of their iOS update. As soon as I remember, iBooks was not working for more than a year. At least go and leave a feedback, doubt it will help, but worth a look.

• Synchronization of store non-iBook on iPhone 5s books

  I added a few pounds to store non-iBook on my rMBP (10.11.4) yesterday. I use iCloud drive widely and on my iMac (10.11.4) these non-iBook store books was pointing without problem, but not on my iPhone (iOS 9.3) 5s. I checked all settings, I'm using the same Apple ID, but I do not know why do they not appear on iPhone through syncing iCloud 5s. I tried to use iTunes to sync these books o iPhone 5s (iOS 9.3), but surprisingly even iTunes will not show the two. I wonder what's going on and someone a suggestions to solve this problem?
