  Basically, the program to access your webcam video and redistribute it as a video device ManyCam.

  When you get the message if another program uses always the camera.

  So, try to disable the webcam software and other e-mail programs in msconfig.
  Restart the laptop and if you want to use the webcam software you need to start the first webcam software.

  Your webcam drivers from the manufacturer of the webcam needs, allowing him to talk to any operating system that you have installed.  You need to go to the site web page/support from the manufacturer to your webcam and see if they support the material in your chosen new OS and download / install the appropriate drivers/software.

  If the driver software in any device is not yet deployed by the manufacturer, Windows 7 has the possibility of installing the driver in compatibility mode. You can download the drivers supported for Windows vista and install it. But make sure you install drivers 64-bit if your 64-bit operating system or install the 32-bit drivers if your operating system is 32-bit, because 32 bits can not work well for 64-bit device.

  To install in compatibility mode follow the steps below:

  i. right click on the program (.exe file)

  II. click on properties

  III. click on the Compatibility tab

  IV. Select run this program in compatibility mode and select windows vista or Windows XP
