Acer Aspire 5552 no lan or wireless detected

Trying to work on a pc of the friends, which does not recognize the built in lan or wireless. Device Manager is a material no display wireless or lan. PC running Windows 7, and is now updated on all Windows updates. He recognizes a usb wireless adapter, but has no idea that there is a wireless network and integrated lan, no way to turn, because as windows knows, this pc does not have.  In addition, using a point of restoration after the last time that the owner was on-line, that oldest available, does not change the problem

Device Manager can't find the material, while showing hidden devices so I'm Virgin to know where to find the drivers and how to uninstall them.

As above: Some Acers also have a wireless connection, button on / off, so make sure it is not disabled there. I'm not sure if your model or not, but check to see if it is disabled there. It may be "Fn" + "F key" or a real hard switch (that I had on my Acer).

Alternatively, if this isn't the case, Acer handed incompatible drivers before, you have a 32 or 64-bit?

http://global-download.Acer.com/GDFiles/driver/wireless%20LAN/wireless%20LAN_Broadcom_5.100.235.19_W7x86W7x64_A.zip?acerid=634408506216820809&STEP1=notebook, 20Ultrabook & Step2 = Aspire & step 3 = % Aspire % 205250 & OS = 702 & LC = en & BC = Acer & SC = PA_6

I know that this LAN update fixed a few problems of the people in the past who had problems of compatibility with the Acer Aspire 5552-7474, then perhaps you can try try this.

    Hi guys

I'm helping a friend get his ACER ASPIRE 5552 work fine with Windows 10.

We took a bet that the W7 to W10 upgrade would be ok, but we hit a few glitches to overcome.

We want to back up as soon as possible once it working properly.

    1.

Can anyone tell me please where I can get the right driver for Ethernet and WifI because wifi now seems to work fine.

    2.

But there are ALSO all the other drivers who have updated the 5552 have found it necessary to download and install - for example Chipset, sounds, etc...?  .... Of course, it makes sense that ask us those who've already done...

    3.

In addition, she has a HP printer, which now does not seem to communicate. I guess we have to go to the site of HP and DOWNLOAD - except - are there known problems?

Thanks in advance for any help guys

    > We took a gamble that the W7 to W10 upgrade would be ok >

Agreed. Now, I suggest that you first check the Win10 Device Manager and note devices and models numbers that seem to have problems. Because the laptop has more working network adapters, you must do a google search from another computer for updated Win10 drivers that you can download for each device problem. For some systems, this can be a long and formidable process. If it were mine, I would upgrade to Win 7 as fast as I could.

  • Problem with my Acer Aspire 5552-5686 and 5.1 Audio HDMI

Hi all, I recently bought a SONY HT-SS380 Home Theatre, and I tried to connect it to my Acer Aspire 5552-5686 by HDMI port. (I have Windows 7).

My problem is that I have can´t set up the laptop to use more than 2 channels (stereo). I ve been looking around the internet and there seems to be a common problem with this computer, but I can´t understand why or how to fix it.

I ve tried to install the latest Realtek Audio drivers, the Catalyst Control Center, some Audio HDMI of ATI drivers. I Don t know what else to try!

    Any help?

    Thank you very much!

This isn't the audio chipset of this system, which I listed above.

The audio chipset to send the data in 5.1 surround.  The HDMI port would support, if it was sent.

It is not sent in this way, I listed above.

  • Upgrade memory Acer Aspire 5552

    Hello

I just upgraded to 4 GB of RAM 8 GB on my Aspire 5552. But when I display the properties of the system that it has detected 8.00 GB of RAM, but only 3.74 GB is used. How can I activate the rest of the extra memory I added?

    The RAM I installed is accompanied by 8 GB of PC3 - 12800 DDR3 - 1600 RAM, consisting of 2 x 4 GB SODIMM laptop computer Ramaxel.
The RAM in BIOS is showing only 8192 MB total memory with 256 MB of video memory.

Acer Tech support advised the following:

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search programs and files, and then click msconfig in the list programs.

    2. in the System Configuration window, click Advanced on the start tab.

3 clear the maximum memory check box, and then click OK.

    4 restart the computer.

When I checked msconfig memory Maximum option was already unchecked. I tried to check (this is the value of 8192) and reboot, but no change then I unchecked and restarted again, but still only 3.74 GB are available.

Acer technical support are now run out of ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    I found the answer...

"" in the start menu > msconfig > boot > advanced > make sure number of cores is 2 you have a dual core processor ' "

I don't know if it was a simple thing that it was assumed that I already knew that, but I didn't and now I do, and I 7.74 GB of memory can be used.

    Thanks for all the help.

  • Acer aspire 5552. Battery / bios update

I have an Acer Aspire 5552on whose battery is a failure. I bought a new battery, but the laptop will not recognize the new battery. The provider says my bios needs updating. My bios is acer v2.05 17/11/2010. Downloads of the bios on the website do not include v2.05. where can I find this update of the bios?

I am sure the sellers claim. Some batteries cheap may not be recognized by the laptop. I got lucky with AGPtek, PWR + and Anker.

If you want to upgrade the Bios, I would go to the most recent. Make sure your battery is fully charged, maintain the power of the connected, read everything carefully, because you will.

  • ACER Aspire 4 gig of ram used only 1.74, how can I fix this?

    Hello

I hope that I chose the right forum, if not, please go to the right place.

I have an ACER Aspire 5552-5686, Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics card. I have the latest version of my bios, 2.14

I have 4 GB of RAM, but windows says only 1.74 is usable. This makes the really small system.

The bios shows 256 MB is reserved for the video card, but there is no way to change the value.

I installed the driver of the card later, he says that 893 MB is used for the video card. Here are the screenshots, sorry, french system:

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

It is the ram that came with your computer and how long have you had?

Looks like one of the sticks failed. He knows that it is there, but cannot use it. That's why you have available 1.7. The autres.3 is used by the video card.

I opened the bottom of your laptop to make sure that the ram is placed correctly.

I'm not sure that your skill level thech but you can remove a stick and see if it boots always. You should see 2 GB available ram usable 1.7. Clear this check box and move the sticks. If it doesn't start with a single one of the sticks then theres your problem. You must replace a stick of RAM.

  • Hi there I have an acer aspire one and I have a problem with my wireless connection.

Hi there I have an acer aspire one and I have problems with my wireless connection.it is connected, but I can't use internet.any thoughts? Thank you

A look at the "front" face, under the lip of the keyboard, similar to where a lock would be on a laptop. There is here a cursor that is not a lock, but it is a switch that activates / deactivates him wireless on and outside. Slide it on until it turns on the light above it (with the logo of the antenna), indicating wireless is turned on and drag it again to turn it off.

  • Wireless connection drops after 10-20 seconds on Acer Aspire V3-572 - 56T 3 running Windows 8.1

I have big problems with the network connection Wireless at the office. He sees the network, allows me to enter security credentials, then connects (with connectivity internet confirmed) but gave up after 10-20 seconds. I tried the wireless network to a friend who worked ok without interruption, is certainly nothing wrong with the hardware. I use a brand new Acer Aspire V3 - 572 - T 56, 3 on Windows 8.1, with all the latest drivers/patches loaded and tried to juggle with many advanced settings for the card of network without success. I connected the router to make sure that all the settings, encryption standards, channels etc was corresponding, but the problem is persistent. It has been going on for two days now and is driving me crazy because I really need to work in the office with wifi band. Plug an ethernet cable directly into the router works fine, but it is not the ideal solution (and poses a danger OH & S that he throws on the ground). Can someone help pleeeease!

FYI, I ran diagnosis several times & the only thing that stands out was the following:

    Diagnostic information (wireless connectivity)
    The Association status: 0 x 00038002 failure
    Association reason code: 0x00000002

    Result of diagnosis: problem found
    Question: RNWF MSM Helper Class
Root cause: Windows could not connect to "ERICSSON".
You can try to connect again.

    Result of diagnosis: problem found

    Root cause:
Failed to bind wireless to "ERICSSON".
An answer is not from the router or access point.

    Detailed root cause:
Failed to bind to this network wireless. Windows has not received response from the router or access point wireless.

    Repair option:
Search for the causes of the low wireless signal quality
The signal is weak because of the distance or interference.
Windows Help and Support can provide more information on this problem.

No need, already has the solution (which worked for me):

  • Disable the default wireless on Acer Aspire 5741

I have an Acer Aspire 5741-5698 running Windows 7.  I never want to connect to wireless internet.  I want to only rarely connect with a wired connection.  I can disconnect the wireless by pressing Fn + F3, but I never see a "Launch Manager".  The problem is when I turned off the computer and turn it back on, it by default, a wireless connection.  I went to manage networks wireless in Control Panel and manually selected connect to my home network.  It does not work.  How can I stop to automatically connect wireless?

Go to the device, click Manager right on the wireless, then click on disable. When you want to use the wireless go back and click Activate.

    Hello

    It's a desktop PC.

They are not normally active wireless.

Normally, you will need to buy a wireless card or a USB Dongle of Wireless to do this.
