Acer Aspire E 11: my touchpad cursor continues

My cursor touchpad freezes after 20 minutes of use. I have to stop and wait for about 20 minutes before restarting and 9 times out of 10 it will work again manually. I'm running on Windows 10.

Go to the Manager device, uninstall the driver for the touchpad, reboot and let Windows install the default driver. See how it works. If you want, you can reinstall the driver of Acer, regardless of the touchpad you have. I guess it is 8.1.

  • Acer Aspire 471 - V5 - 6876 Touchpad has stopped working

Has been working well for a few days then suddly stopped working (no cursor appears and movement does nothing). Keyboard mouse external, fine when it's plugged in works fine.

Rebooted and no change, no events in the log events for material, looks fine in Device Manager. I have not discarded with drivers yet, but it is brand new and worked great for the first 2 days. Tried Fn + F7 in case it has been disabled. It's computer of my mother, and she is a pretty basic user, so it is unlikely that she played with all relevant parameters.

    Any ideas? Help?

I have had dealing with this problem for almost a year now.  I developed a small workaround solution that may be useful to others.

If you let the laptop all of the time and the action set to "Do nothing" when you close the lid of the laptop... (breath),

The touchpad seems to have sleep code of its own and will remain in standby state after opening the cover.  It is a design flaw (suspected).  The workaround is to hit CTRL-ESC and use the arrow keys to navigate down to the 'Shut Down', 'Hibernate', 'Log Out', 'Lock', function 'Sleep' in the Start button menu options.   Select 'Sleep' and leave the laptop you're going to sleep.  It must be completely in mode "Eve" in 15 to 20 seconds.  Once it is in a sleep state, press the ESC key and it will wake up upward with the Mouse touchpad functionality restored.

    Hope this helps

  • Continuous beep sound from my computer Acer Aspire 7540.

    Original title: his record game

I get a continuous beep from my computer Acer Aspire 7540. How can I stop it except turn off the sound.

    Hi G V Palmer,.

1 did you recent hardware or changes to the software of the system?

The system beeps are so important that it indicates system errors and warn you against system damage. When the processor system or Random Access Memory (RAM) or hard drive is not working properly, it will give the alert system using the beep.

I recommend you to check if the RAM and hard drive work properly.

You can also change the pattern of its Windows as 'None' and search for the question.

    a. Click Start, click Control Panel, and select sound.

    b. in the sounds, iselect 'No Sounds' tab under sound scheme, click Save as.

    (c) in the Save Project dialog box under, type a name for the new sound scheme.

The new scheme appears in the model box sounds.

Check if you are still having the tone.

  • Acer Aspire 8943 G Touchpad does not, the updated driver is installed

I instaled and uninstalled it a dozen times, used system restore and cannot get the touchpad to work Acer Aspire 8943 G, please can any one help?

Something strange happened. It would not work no matter what I tried. I was watching a movie on KODI formerly XBMC. I accidentally hit the keyboard and the mouse moved. I pressed the video button and it lit up. The only thing I can find is that it took several hours for updated driver to work, or the video triggered the Touchpad.

I uninstalled and deleted all instances of the driver including the reserved system created by a MS Tech backup when my Windows Ultimate has become corrupt. Initially, it was Win-7 Edition Home Premium and when it would not install IE10 when MS gave me a free upgrade to Ultimate.Even then it took a week to finally get installed IE10 because the computer did not have Service Pack 1. Congratulations to MS Techs, they called me several times and worked on my computer. Him spoke excellent English and are based in India. Computer laptop is out of warranty and Acer said enough so be it, I have to pay. MS did not charge me a dime.

  • Acer Aspire E3 - 112 Touchpad drivers for Windows 7

  • Problem of Touchpad on Acer Aspire VN7 - 591 G Ultrabook

I would be grateful if someone could give me some advice.

I have a problem to find a driver for the touchpad on my Acer Aspire V Nitro Black Edition (VN - 591G) with Windows 8.1.

The touchpad itself works fine, but it has only to type the feature, I want to activate actions such as vertical and horizontal scrolling. I already tried to install the Synaptics pointing device or the driver of the momentum and although the installation was successful, I don't see all the settings in my configuration of the mouse.

It could be a solution (google) to install the Intel Chipset driver, then pilot of e/s Intel. I've updated one, and before installing Intel i/o, I need to configure advanced BIOS settings, but it is not "Advanced tab" in my BIOS. Looks like I'm in the trap.

I would be grateful if someone could suggest other solutions to enable gestures.

You know that you must use two fingers to scroll?

Problems with the touchpad VN7 - 591 G are a 8.1 engine that doesn't work great and sometimes a bad touchpad.

You may need to get a USB or wireless mouse until the pilot gets sorted.

I have an Acer Aspire One Netbook.  (No DVD player).  From the start on the hard drive, I get a black screen with a blinking cursor.  The cursor does not type.  For me, maybe I need to reinstall windows 7 and startup tasks are corrupt.  I have my product key genuine for the computer, but no way to get to windows.  How to restore windows on a netbook that won't start?

original title: Netbook Windows 7 problem

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.

Make an image of the DVD, you can use a program like ISO Recorder to do.
