Acer Aspire Easystore HDD Fail - replace/upgrade HARD drive

I have an Acer Aspire Easystore and recently suffered a hard drive failure and will have no chance of finding a list of compatibility hdd of any kind.

Currently drives 1 TB and since 1 has no, I copied all the data on a single 3 TB drive, so I'm ready to replace all the drives with drives of 2 TB or 3 TB and start a new raid 6 (5 + 1, I think).

Can you help me?

P/N: ARE. TR100.270IE

All that I see, said the SNID must be 11 or 12 digits, but mine is only 8

It's *.

Help, please

before changing the HARD drive, I would try another SATA cable, is the part number: 50.U86D5.002

to open the back of your ZC, you must open the 2 feet at the bottom of the back cover and unscrew the 2 screws; with a PIN that you had to push into the small hole in the DVD player until he slip; Then, you can lift the back cover.

  • Acer Aspire EasyStore H341 SAAS McAfee not supported

Hello I have an Acer Aspire EasyStore H341 with Windows Home Server build 5.2.3790 software version 1.50 (0953.005).

I used it without fail until this week where it is said that McAfee SAAS is not taken in charge on this server more (beginning June 2, 2013).  I used only as a server, and only if the remote and same login only briefly played with layout add-ins.

There is a new virus for this product scan?  Y at - it an update this server has not downloaded may remove the McAfee virus scan in his place or I can put any virus scanner (for example, I have a copy of Norton 360 with a left on pc, sure I could add.

I'm fine with most of the Mircosoft, yes even Windows 8 version (ugg, takes a little getting used to, but ok now) but very limited in the WHS region.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

I think that the information you may be looking for is displayed on the McAfee page on support for Windows Home Server.

    https://KC.McAfee.com/corporate/index?page=content&ID=KB61113

Windows Home Server is limited regarding the protection against viruses, software does not install as it would on a normal PC.

Unfortunately, I believe that you will encounter the same problem with any "major" all end-of-life virus programs, like Windows Home Server has been eliminated from the production. (see the Microsoft Support policy page: http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?LN=en-us&p1=12624&x=10&y=10 )

  • Failed to retrieve after replacing the hard drive on my DV6

I replaced the hard drive on my DV6.  Insert the recovery discs, I had done and went through the process.  At the end it rebooted and was told that he failed.  Says to put 1 recovery disc in and try again, but just a loop even message.

    Hello

Assuming that it's just a problem with the recovery media, here's another solution, you can try.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn ( Note: you can deselect additional software offerings when you install ImgBurn) to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  The source of the Windows Image is Digital River.

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1.

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

All pilots additional and the software, you may need can be found here.

  • How to reinstall the upgrade of Windows 7 after replacing the hard drive

I have a few problems and decided after many hours of nowhere to replace my hard drive, I am running Win7 installed via an upgrade disk, because it doesn't seem to be a startup disk (I want to run repair to try to recover the missing files / corrupted etc.) what I need to install Vista first and then use the upgrade disk?

There are likely to be problems with activation etc as in the past, that a new hard drive has been regarded as the same license is installed on a different machine?

    * original title - hard drive replacement, Q on installation of Windows

Thanks for both answers, but as I could not reinstall Vista due to the lack of drive & key - I put my system together myself have so do not the sticker supplied with the systems, pre-built, I moved twice since the departure of Vista installation, the disk may or may not be somewhere in this House.

My solution was to take the opportunity to upgrade my CPU and add that extra RAM so bought a win7 disc at the same time (which I'll keep somewhere safe). Yes, I've probably lost money by doing it this way, but it's my money to waste.

The end result is that the PC works well which is what matters in the end for me.

    Thanks again for the responses.

The hard drive is new and I did not not how its gives me this error!

In addition, this laptop does not seem to boot from a cd to format!

  • Satellite A200-1CR: Question about upgrade HARD drive

    Hi all...
I would like to ask something...

I have toshiba Satellite A200-1cr with 120 GB HARD drive...

I would like to change my HARD drive. I found a disk hard 2.5 "with 250 GB.

    My questions are the following:

    (1) my knowledge of the workstations are very very good. Is it easy to change myself?
I guess it is, but I want to be sure... I guess that is on IDE, right? No SATA at all?

    (2) if I changed it I lose my warranty?

    (3) can I give my laptop Toshiba in Greece official store and let them make the change?
May I take in an informal shop, too?

    (4) can be put on the laptop 2 x 250 GB such US new computers laptops from toshiba?
Is there enough space in the laptop for such a change?

    Thank you in advance...

    Hey Buddy

It is good that ask you the question.

    (1) the Satellite A200-1CR supports SATA and no IDE interface and that's why you need a SATA HDD. It of really not difficult to replace the HARD drive and as far as I know, you should find a few details in the user manual. There is a useful statement and photos that explain the entire procedure.

    (2) hm AFAIK the drive replacement HARD will not void the warranty, and has no effect on the State of security.

    (3) you can also contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country for a HARD drive replacement, but in my opinion that is not really necessary because the replacement is not very sensitive. As I said above, check the user manual.

    (4) I don t think that your laptop will support 2 x 250 GB HARD drive.
Of course, there are a few other series laptops which are abele to support two hard drives but I n t think that your laptop A200 support.

Just a small comment on the new HARD drive:
The fact is that some more HARD drive are not supported by the BIOS. I mean an upgrade to 120 GB to 250 GB drive HARD is really a leap one possibly your BIOS would not recognize the HARD drive correctly.
So I recommend to test the HDD first before buying.

    Good bye

Any suggestions what to buy to replace the hard drive to a hard drive of 250 GB of HP Pavilion dv4-2049us that failed?

SMART hard disk error (SMART check: failed)

    Failure ID: 0LJ8QF-5096HN-XD7XHA - 60CT 03

    Appreciate any help.

    Hello:

Chapter 3 of the service manual indicates that you can go to a 500 GB 7 200 RPN SATA II HDD.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01963667.PDF

I recommend these to this provider if you live in the United States.

    500 GB:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16822136856

    320 GB:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16822136280

250 GB: (the 320 GB drive is cheaper)

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16822136279

You will also need to order a set of recovery disks to reinstall the operating system and the programs supplied with your PC if did you not have a game when you got the laptop.

  • Can I replace the hard drive of my HP HDX16-1140US with this hard drive hybrid?

Hello. I run the SMART test on my hard drive (500 GB) and he said that it was about to fail quickly. I would like to replace my hard drive with this one:

    http://www.Amazon.com/Seagate-Momentus-solid-hybrid-ST95005620AS/DP/B003NSBF32

Is this possible? What are some other drives to consider?

www.crucial.com is a utility that will scan your system and give recommendations for upgrading your RAM and hard drive based on your specific system. You can check for the tough they recommend then go back to Amazon and buy if you don't like their prices.

Make sure that you back up everything before you install the new hard drive. If your computer is equipped with recovery disks or if you have the opportunity to make some, do it before the death of your hard drive. You use to install the operating system on the new drive, or you can purchase the commercial version of any OS you need to reinstall.

  • can [4820tg] I replace my hard drive and always keep the Windows license?

Hey! A quick question, on an older laptop that is still alive.

    Acer Aspire 4820TG

    Windows 7 family

Can I replace the hard drive and install Windows again?

I mean, I burned the recovery CD or software any Acer asked when the computer was new. Those can be used to install Windows if I replace the current hard drive?

If so, how does the license? I guess that they can not be used on another computer, but I can reinstall all I want on this one?

    Thanks in advance!

And this laptop is awesome. Runs strong through its 4th year and the battery still pumps on ~ 4-5 hours by being careful with the use. Heh, the other parts are probably die slowly, including the hard drive.

    Well.

    Yes to all your questions.

You must use the recovery media that you have created, just check that they are still ok or create a new one, just in case where.

on the license, it's like SLIC table BIOS, so you don't need to enter a serial number and your windows will be activated automatically.

    Thank you

    Hello

Browse the following documents carefully & follow him.

Test a HDD in BIOS ; Laptops HP - how to run the hard drive Test

    Hard disk failure errors

Test the hard drive by using SMART

Normally the HP disk HARD Selft Test works well, but the information stored in S.M.A.R.T indicates that your HARD drive will fail.

It seems the automatic test crashes if there is a bad sector that has not yet been remapped. If you back up all your data before performing a full format on the disc it will fix the problem (assuming it's the same problem I had). In the meantime, I would check what are the SMART test results... you may have a faulty hard drive. (one or two bad sectors are not as bad as HP are affected because these will be remapped as soon as a write is attempted on them).

If it gets corrupted, go for another one again.

First of all trying to read the above documents and try to do it again.

    Thank you
