Acer Aspire Nitro VN7 - 791G: Windows 7 to Windows 8.1

Hello

I installed Windows 7 on my VN7 - 791G. I changed the startup type in the bios using "Legacy" instead of "UEFI".

Changed all my partitions (front: 4 partitions on the first drive [TPG], now: a single partition [MBR]). No partition more "Windows Boot loader.

Before doing this action (installation of Windows 7), I saved all my system (factory settings) on a USB (32 GB), as recommended by ACER (using their tool installed with Windows 8.1).

But now, I can't go back to 8.1 for Windows using my USB device (I can start with this unit): the choice of "Re-init PC" does not work!

Could you help me please? Orders may be advanced for use on partitions or the boot loader?

Thank you.

you need to completely erase your HARD drive, it means delete the MBR and the partition, or convert the MBR to GPT.

You can do this by using partition wizard bootable iso:

http://www.partitionwizard.com/Partition-Wizard-bootable-CD.html

Create bootable with iso downloaded media, starting from the completely wipe the HARD drive, then restart and try to use your recovery media.

original title: Acer Aspire 5000 XP to Windows 7

I recently updated my Acer Aspire in XP to Windows 7 5000. The process went well, but now he says it detects all audio devices. I checked the control panel and go to the sound section and it says that no devices are installed. Also, I am having some problems with graphics (a few black lines appear every now and then). I'd appreciate your help with this. Thank you!

There are no Windows 7 drivers for your model, something that you should have checked before the upgrade.

There are Vista drivers on the Acer site which may operate, but don't hold your breath...

Well, I solved the problem myself, but thanks for the help anyway.

Fortunately, Acer has created what is called "Acer eRecovery. I recommend it to anyone who has this problem, or any other. Basically, this option resets your entire system. Make sure that you back up your important files if, everything you forgot to back up will be gone!
I'm glad my problem is solved, it was really bothering me for a while.

  • Acer Aspire TimelineX 3820 t - Windows Update - Synaptics Touch Pad conflict

    Hello

I just bought an Acer Aspire TimelineX, 3820 T. It's like a Synaptics Touchpad, which works fine until I do a Windows Update. Once I do the update of Windows, the touch pad doesn't work. Even if it works, there is no control over the touchpad. It is an old laptop of the week and I won't send it to Service Center for repair. Also, I'm afraid to get Exchange of the same model, since it is a software problem with Windows update and could be the same thing with another of the same model. I disabled the Windows Update and there is no problem since then. But with the new laptop, I cannot deal with Windows update and will be updated soon.

    Help, please!

Welcome & thank you for your comments but I said nothing about disabling the automatic update from Windows Update.

  • Acer Aspire Nitro v15 reports no battery present unit, after the installation of Windows 7. Pls help

Hi, recently I have bouht a VN7 - 591 G-75HT, without BONES, and then installed Win7. I didn't use Win8. Laptop works when pluged, but he pointed out that there is no battery and battery does not charge. It does not start even when not on AC. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you

SNIDS: [under the direction of life private]

I do not have the right Power Manager he would start on the farm. Since the closure, try to unplug the power cord, locate the tiny hole at the bottom and gently pushing a paper clip into the hole up to hou feel it click. This will reset the battery. If that doesn't fix it, you may have a defective battery.

  • Aspire V 17 Nitro (VN7 - 791G - 792A) does not illuminate?

Hi all.  Bought this laptop in July 15, installed 10 Windows, everything has been fine.  Until yesterday... you press the power button and nothing.  I always keep plugged in, the battery light is on (blue) showing a full charge.

I removed the power cord, hoping to leave the battery discharged, but still the light went only to yellow (low-power sense).  Other than that, it is totally insensitive.  I tried holding down the power button for different durations, but still nothing.

Furthermore, there are suggestions?  Anyone experienced this?

    Hello

I would try to reset the battery using the reset pinhole located in the lower button.

  • Acer aspire problem vn7 - 591 g nitro with high CPU and GPU temperatures

Hello! I recently noticed some issues (lower fps) performance when you play semi demanding like cs and Overwatch, although pretty much the lowest settings. I went to download CPUID (software to monitor your hardware) to check my temperature and I noticed that I reach 90 low to high (depending on the game) when I play.

I thought it might be dust or something inside so I removed the keyboard of the laptop part and used some canned air to remove any dust I could reach (without removing the motherboard). I also managed to get your hands on a laptop computer, cooling rack. The problem is that all these efforts really solved the problem. Just a slightly lower temperature on the GPU and about the same on the processors. I'm starting to wonder if it could be the thermal paste, which need to be replaced? I had the computer for a little over a year now. Does anyone else know similar problems? Help or advice would be appriecated.

    Hello

The CPU and the GPU are designed to operate at these temperatures. If they are too high they will be the butterfly, and if even this does not then at some point they just instantly shut down to avoid any possible damage.

Changing thermal paste may improve performance, but you will only get lower temperatures. Your CPU/GPU will probably run at higher clock speeds and will not throttle, but temperatures will be in the same range. But in my experience if you can change the thermal paste, you should.

Also, you can use the laptop fan control that has the configuration for 591g and it may further increase the fan speed. I think, from the factory, the maximum speed of the fan is just about 60-70%.

  • Aspire its V Nitro VN7 - 791G only in left ear

    Hello!

Today, I ran into a problem with my helmet, I have new headphones 2 days ago and everything was fine until this morning where I could only hear left of my headphones. I thought it's fault to Atria then I tried it on my other pc and they worked. I tried to reinstall Realtek drivers couple times with different versions, but no luck. If the plug is broken and he can hear only one side? Also play games like Dirt 3 makes my laptop very lag and the sound is crack and burst, should not happen to a laptop with this kind of form to the oldest game.

    yarken,

His cracking and popping sounds not right, certainly. What this only when you play or when you watch (stream) something online maybe? The port could be bad, it is difficult to say honestly, you can perform a refresh to see if that solves possible software problems.

  • AMD update Acer Aspire V5 - 122 with Windows 10

my pc was born W8.1 and has been updated to W10, a few months ago.

2 weeks ago, that I was asked to accept a new update of my processor AMD A6. Apparently, I was not successful and never loaded Windows. I tried a lot of things until I was able to reinstall a previous fixpoint (?). Not the first but the fourth back in time. Apparently the disk with Windows was locked, and I had no idea how I'd get further than the frozen Acer logo. However, this time Windows is.

Then yesterday I was informed waiting two updates AMD Radeon Crimson 16.3.1, and I agreed. However, I'm now stuck again and this time I don't have the fixpoint since February longer, and I'm stuck. Are not responsible for such damage AMD or Acer and how to fix it? My pc doesn't have a cd player and no startup key.

Maybe a 10 Windows update or update of the 'Compulsory' driver Windows 10. I have my Windows Update set for Windows may not download or install the updates until I check them and let him and I do not have Windows 10. I tried and don't think it has all the benefits plus 8.1 and rolled back.

  • Model of the Acer Aspire One AOD255 running Windows XP 32-bit

Greetings. I recently bought this primarily as a trigger of the road (screen larger than phones), it is used for games facebook, email and Skype. It has worked well for the past 6 months. But now it started up... goes to the Windows XP screen, go to start windows, the home, and then on the desktop screen. It only shows the background image on the desktop and icons, buttons etc. After about two minutes, it flashes a blue screen with the STOP error: C0000145 (Application error), the application has not etc. I don't have a CDRom drive on it. There is only a USB flash drive. It has a sticker with the product key for Windows XP and I have a Windows XP CD to the desktop unit we have at home. Help! This is as far as I know on this little guy.

instead of using the CDs, you tried to start by pressing ALT + F10 at startup?

This will start the process of Acer erecovery.

If this does not start, press F2 to enter the BIOS and check if the D2D option is enabled.

  • Acer Aspire V3 - 771G reinstall Windows 8

Our portable 120 day years had a defective hard drive, which is now replaced... but without the DVD in Windows 8, no key product not found anywhere how are we suppose to reinstall?

    Very frustrated...

Books do not come with recovery disks and so it is up to the user to burn a set using the Acer Recovery Management software.

My advice is: If you choose to send to Acer for repair, be sure to put the HDD failed originally in the machine, first.

Good luck and have a nice weekend!
