Acer Aspire R13 problems active Pen (R7 - 371T).

I bought a new R13 Aspire, with recommended acer active pen for this model. Touchpad is flicky and wobbles in his laptop computer screen resolution (very unpleasant to use) place and brightness are great and it is very sensitive to the touch of the finger and capacitive pens.
However when I use the active stylus, it works very well for about 5 minutes and then it starts to jump and jump and then the pen stops working. After a reboot, pen starts to work, but same thing happens. When I pass the pen on the screen he sees clearly, but the movement is not smooth, in the same way, when I use the stylus to draw he jumps and jumps a lot. I calibrated my monitor and the problem still persists.

Also ACER calls for the rejection of palm, and palm rejection does NOT at all.

Anyone had the same problems? or your active pen works perfectly, I can't determine if the problem I have is from the pen or screen.

Any suggestions? or comments?

I sent my camera previous back and got a new one from microsoftstore. It seems that the problems I had were specific unit. This new one works fine, the touchpad in the last laptop has obviously had a physical since problem she wavered and has not identified any multi-geste.

I'm happy with this one, it has a pilot updated synaptics, not the most recent one (there is a new Synaptics driver on the Acer site for this laptop that does not yet install) but it works.

Contacted technical support and asked why not install updates it seems that this model is still a work in progress. They are updating the drivers, software managments power etc.

Pen Active Acer works very well in ONENOTE, because the application rejects touch capacitive and works only with the participation of digitizer. but in the other Palm apps rejection does not work. I'll trade my pen as well and see if the problem is with the pen or not.

  • Acer Aspire R7-571 and Pen support?

Hello, I recently bought an Acer Aspire R7-571 and I wonder if it supports any kind of pen or stylus for the touch screen? I ask this because if that's the case I intend to buy one, but if it isn't... Well, I don't want to waste money and prefer not to buy one only to find out that it doesn't work.

Also what leads me to believe that it may in fact take supported a pen/stylus, is to do for the parameters in under hardware and sound control panel, where it says Pen and Touch. So yes maybe a stupid question, but I figure it does not hurt to ask.

    Thank you for your time

You can use the same pens and stylii with your Acer R7-571 as with most Android devices or iPhone/iPad: capacitive standard pens. I use with my R7-571. In General, how to identify the price will be: they should all be less than $20! (In fact, $ 2 mine!)

R7-572 has an active digitizer under the screen, and so should be an active stylus/pen for her. They start usually from $30.

  • Boot Acer Aspire E1 problem

I have an Acer Aspire model E1 Q5WPH, runnng Windows 8.  All has been well until this week when the screen started flashing random colours.

I put the power off and then it won't start back upward.  Power seems to happen as it starts the DVD player, but then the power led goes off - then turn it back on and the process continues until I turned off the machine again.

Is this a known problem and is there anything to do about it?

    Hello

Check if you have the extended warranty or service plan of the store that you got of the device, which can help you save a few $s.

  • I have a DATE TIME / CMOS / BIOS with my Acer Aspire 5742Z problem

    Hello

    Newbie here...

I have a strange problem with my Acer Aspire 5742Z (UK), which I think may be the BIOS or CMOS area...

    MAIN PROBLEM

Guard reset BIOS default time (00: 00:00 on 01/01/2009)... OR... a time '' close '' to what it is supposed to be...

MAIN STEPS IN THE DEMONSTRATION OF THE ISSUE...  WHAT I'VE DONE

Removed the main battery and then replaced the CMOS battery twice (in the case of a failure)

    Main battery insert it again.

The clocks of the BIOS (using F2) countless times, but there's rarely / or is correct.

    STRANGENESS...

During startup in Windows 7, it almost always does not show the same date and time that I entered the BIOS.

For example, if I go home at 21:35 on August 28, 2014 using F2, when I boot on Windows, the date and time may say August 23, 2014 at 3:25 pm ish...

    POWER OFF

If I turn it off and turn off and then turn on, restart the time in BIOS is correct... to 21:43 29/08/2014 (that I have record for good measure).

If I continue, Windows reads now August 23 at 15:32

ADJUST the WINDOWS TIM E (UK)

So, then I change the time of Windows Date to Friday, August 29, 2014 21:48.

JUST FYI: the PARAMETERS of ZONE SCHEDULE are checked and no changes: (UTC), Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London

PANEL, LANGUAGE AND REGION, English in the United Kingdom, short time 21:48, short Date: 29/08/2014

    GEOGRAPHICAL area: United Kingdom

    now, everything seems correct.

TURN OFF AGAIN and wait a few minutes.

YOU turn it back ON, and then press F2 that (this time) shows the BIOS default date and time in 2009

If I continue in windows without changing the BIOS date and time dafault, Windows now displays as 23:02 31/12/2008

    :-(

    That's all.

I would really appreciate help fixing this problem that makes me nuts!

    Thanks in advance!

...   Just in case anyone reads this...

I just updated my BIOS for the next issue, and the problem has.

I guess that maybe the BIOS got corrupted!

I used the simple approach and no short layout has been involved.  I deliberately did not go for the latest BIOS just in case where he brought new questions and confused the situation.

  • Acer Aspire its problems after Win 7 Pro and the new installed HARD drive

I have an acer aspire 8735 laptop g-6502 which has recently undergone a WD 500 GB drive HARD failure. I replaced that with a 7200 RPM Hitachi 1 TB drive and given that I don't have a Win 7 original used a disk Win 7 Pro with an extra friend.

Windows 7 Pro and HARD disk installation went smooth. But now when I plug an HDMI cable to watch through my Marantz receiver, comes from the video, but I have to do manually the Marantz the default audio device for sound. When I unplug the HDMI, I must return to the parameters of sound and unenable Marantz and re - activate the Realtek audio.

Before the drive died HARD, happen all perfectly when you plug the HDMI cable in and the fact to disconnect without any fiddling around with settings.

I also have a few other questions:
    1. the touch volume control next to the numeric keypad does not control the volume more
    2. the keyboard key used to have a setting to display it. You can use two fingers on a tablet to drag the image to the screen bigger and smaller.

I looked the site of Acer and also used my drive Application and drivers to reinstall everything that looked related to these issues. When first, I installed Win 7 Pro I let Windows find the appropriate drivers. It worked for some things but not others.

Any ideas? I have a few scratches on my face and my forehead in frustration pain making me beat me here. Funny, but true, so all ideas are appreciated!

Here's my screen design Mgr impression - there's an 'unknown' device IDK how to understand what it is.

    Hello...

You have installed the application to launch mnager. Alternatively you can install from this link and check the function of touch volume control and display adjustment launch application manager

  • Acer Aspire R13 backlight keyboard issues

I got the R13 Aspire (317 t) a few days before, and while I really enjoy there are some problems with the keyboard.

The first is that is it possible to completely disable the backlight on the keyboard?  I'm tired of having to manually use the function keys to activate if off every time, I opened the lid.  This would be as much of a problem if he was not the second question.

Secondly, when the backlight is completely upward, there is a high-pitched hum coming from the speakers.  I found a couple other posts that have the same problem but I don't know if this is a fault or a problem that can be fixed.

I like much this laptop, but these keyboard problems are starting to make me think that I need to return it.

    Thank you.

    jjsmall009,

As far as the backlight goes, no, you can use the buttons to turn off every time.

If you experience any his pitch high only when the backlight is at its maximum intensity we have our repair technicians watch the device for you if you wish.

Here is the link to implement repairs online without ever having to call in or you can chat online with a technician (available 24/7).

  • Can I change the processor and graphics card on my acer aspire?

    Hello

    recently I went in game

And I really want to be able to play at HQ

So my question is: can I put a new processor and video card

In my acer aspire witouth problems?

Doesn't look like as you can change the processor. Limits to the motherboard. But there is no onboard video. If you get a low profile graphics card and added it to the computer, it could work. But because the computer is an older computer, you will not be able to put in the last and best. I would like to talk to a local technician to see what is available in your area for this computer.

    Hello to the community.

I have an Acer aspire 5741g problem on VGA.

After years, it does not start and I have a black screen.

It is a topic that is discussed with several solution drivres and updates to the bios, but I think that my VGA (ATI mobility) put an end to his life...

so the question is what are the compatible motherbords for my case (5741G) and my processor (intel i3).

I find that there is a phone for 5742G but I can't find if is it compatible and what is the difference between them.

I do not like using the touchpad on my acer aspire Windows 8 running.   How can I disable it without uninstall it from my computer? I accidentally touch during the strike and my cursor jumps throughout the page I'm trying.

On my Acer Aspire R7, F7 active / disable the touchpad.  See your owner's manual for the function keys.

Thank you!!! He also worked on my wife Aspire V5 - 531P running Windows 8.  The touchpad has been a nightmare - causing the cursor jumps all over the place.  She wanted a new computer.  I had tried in the Device Manager, but couldn't figure out which device was the touchpad and what might be the bluetooth mouse.  Something was running on PS - 2 (they still have that?) but I could not know what!  -Jeff

  • Problems with Acer Aspire V5 - 573 G UEFI?

    Hello

I have Acer Aspire V5 - 573G. Before all the problems start I used Legacy BIOS mode with 10 Windows Pro 64 bit OS. Have the latest BIOS v2.30.

So, recently, I decide to move from the Legacy BIOS UEFI and reinstalled Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with UEFI mode activated with the GPT partition style. Everything went well with the installation.

Now I am facing following issues with UEFI and Windows 10 witch, which I didn't in Legacy BIOS mode:

    1. When the laptop goes to sleep and is not touched for a while, I can't wake up to laptop. Press any key on the keyboard or touch the touchpad don't wake it either. Only way is to press the Power button to stop completely and then turn it back on. I don't know if it's something to do with the Windows settings to resolve this problem.
    2. Restart Windows sometimes stop laptop computer. It's really strange... Windows shows it restarts, screen goes black and does not start, instead it laptop shutdown. ??
    3. And when I shut down the system, it is not entirely clear. Often the blue light continues to blink, CPU and GPU fans are always and still closing system entirely to press on the button / stop.

These issues are somehow related to UEFI, because I had no such problems with the traditional mode and Windows 10. This is starting to annoy me when the laptop stops completely.

    Any help on this?

    Thank you!

  • Problem with e1-531 fan Acer Aspire

Hi, I have an acer aspire e1 - 531 for quite awhile now, but lately its been heating too much

I had cleaned it, but it does nothing

the fans to run so slow even if I have it on assets

Recently, when I was playing in the bios I discovered that fans work fine in there

Every time the laptop started to heat a little fans will lead to maximum power

Than never happenens in windows at all. The fans are on active on all modes of the battery, but still nothing

I tried fanspeed, but it does not recognize my fans

    What can I do?

Looks like you did a little test and troubleshooting and not much I would recommend. It may be a software problem, and if this is the case, I recommend to backup your data and try to do a factory restore to see if that solves the problem.

If the problem persists or you have already tried a factory restore, there may be a hardware problem and I recommend you to contact technical support in your region.

  • ACER Aspire E1-571 initialize problem.

Hi everyone, I recently bought a new hard drive for my acer Aspire E1-571 gor because the old one (500 GB hitachi) "crushed". Then I did today, it's a WD scorpio blue 2.5 "320 GB. I have installed the new drive, run an installation of windows 7 x 64 ultimate edition of windows install I divided on 2 partitions, formatted and installed the system disk. Installation is completely normal and fast but the laptop keep coming at startup screen ACER logo then restarts after the instalator finished and did the final restart before you run the Windows for the first time and again and again and again to infinity so I reinstall windows once more and it's the same thing. After that, I got the new drive from the laptop and put it in another laptop of mine an Asus and windows proceeded to the desktop without any problem. So my question is what is the case, do I need a disk for acer hitachi because no other brand will not work with it or what? or maybe its a sort of Matherboard problem with the disk?
    Thanks for the help!

Hmm, how about uefi? After a few readings in a thread, it seems that bios is one of messing around.
