Acer Aspire S7 - 391 modernized, external mouse not recognized.

It does not recognize the optical mouse that comes with it, should have a usb receiver?

I got it yesterday. I bought it with the cupons to use collective emachine. It does not include a usb receiver, but he may not need one? I did an installation of a new search for the device. He didn't find. It is also my first time with windows 8, so I may be missing something?

  • Acer Aspire S7 - 391

    So, I bought my QVC S7 - 391from Acer Aspire. They have a good flexpay option which I can afford and a great return policy. Won't in 30 days - just go back. Sweet! He received last week. I returned it the following week.

    Ugh... I really want to love this device. Its simplicity is beautiful. The power is fantastic. The resolution, I have even to wear glasses. The construction is solid. The unit is nicely stands out of the Orchard 'Apple' of users in Starbucks or any other place. Finally, a unit that is not in brushed silver, black Matt or slate ish in colour.

    Yes, before my purchase - I did my research. I read all news, reviews, opinion, articles, post etc... and anyway, I've always done the purchase. But as soon as I started to feel the "quirks" who all expressed in the comments I had read. I thought, ' hurry up, time to go! "

    My experience has been the double tapping keys (I'm not the best typer but I'm a bad typer - I type like a chicken 'to hunt and choose'.)

    Another reason for my return, it was losing the cursor. When I placed the cursor where I wanted to, he would move or does not react.

    However, I have not met the decline of the wifi service. But very afraid I would. All the post about falling wifi, makes me scared just return it.

    Anyway... After all that... and without the unit for the last 4 days only, Miss me it already. Starting to think, I reacted to quickly turning.

    Are there any consumer out there with an Acer Aspire S7-391, which has not experienced a technical difficulty at all? One who has had a positive experience of the buyer? Who does not have any quirks with their unit they have bought?

    I think again, I reacted to quickly to return my S7-391. Honestly, I think to give him a second chance and get another.

    Evaluate the issue from a different angle. Take a look at the forums of other manufacturers.

    I suspect you will find similar horror stories. Without doubt some unfounded but is not much.

    I do not have a S7, but I agree, there seems to be problems with the wifi in particular. What is unknown, however, is the number of S7 users who have experienced no problem WiFi. If there is a fundamental flaw, each user S7 won't be affected?

    There will surely be many Acer users who have not experienced any problems and is more satisfied with their purchase. I'm very happy with mine!

    I think it is unlikely that any given machine will require not some "refractory" at one time or another. It is the nature of the beast. However, I expect a new machine to be no problem with regards to the "back of the box" material other that perhaps tweaking the strange to meet personal preferences setting etc.

  • Screws missing Acer Aspire S5-391

    I will try to summarize what happened here:

    My laptop is out of warranty, already, I, however, he was sent to a repair shop that was supposed to be authorized by acer, because the fan starts to make a lot of noise, this being a ultrabook I didn't want Amadou with her.

    I waited for 20 days until the guy at the shop told me they sent the bad new fan, I just need to get some info for the work of the computer, got a little desperate and just picked up and ordered the fan on ebay to replace it myself, unfortunately, the returned the laptop repair shop miss me a lot of screws tiny screws. Of course, they said that it was not their fault, blah blah.

  • Satellite C660D - 19 X - touch pad or external mouse not working not

    Good evening

    Touchpad of my neighbour does not work.
    She tried an external mouse and I tried a different external mouse.
    No luck with either

    Any ideas?
    We tried it in safe mode too and no luck.
    We tried the system restore, but no luck.

    Thanks in advance.

    > We tried the system restore but no luck either.

    By restoring the system you mean the recovery procedure?
    Have you used the Toshiba or Toshiba HDD recovery recovery disk to put the laptop back to factory settings?

    > She tried an external mouse and I tried a different external mouse.
    I m wondering about this question, I assume that you have connected a USB mouse to this laptop, and you cannot move the cursor by using these external USB mouse.
    Is this right?

    In my opinion, even if the touchpad wouldn't work or would be disabled, the external USB mouse should work because both devices are unrelated to each other.

    Your comments would be greatly appreciated

  • Acer Aspire 5720Z with Windows Vista does not start in Windows

    Hi, I had an Acer Aspire 5720Z who begins to give me the infamous error at startup, which brings you to the display of the Startup Repair tool.  When it ends, a pop-up window message saying "Startup can not repair this computer automatically" happens.  I tried all the options in the Windows Vista environment, but at the end he continues to display the same message and startup windows repair cycles over and over again.  And I'm unable to restore, because there is no restore point created.  However, I could get details of the problem and we hope that this information, someone here can direct me to what I do, since all the data of the disk are there, it's just that here I have a kind of corruption of the file to be replaced.  Here is the analytical error:

    I thought someone here would have developed an idea for you on this error to fix it now.

    You can try this:

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
  • Portege R500 - Bluetooth PC card mouse not recognized
    I am trying to use a mouse with my R500 bluetooth PC card, but it is not recognized when I insert it in the PCMCIA slot.
    The light. I need to change any settings?
    Hello
    Usually, the PCMCIA card should be recognized directly after that it was inserted in the slot.
    There is no special driver for the PCMCIA. It s a BIOS according to the function.
    What you could do is to change the device configuration option in the BIOS.
    I think that it s on the second page in the BIOS.
    It s set configuration by OS. I recommend that you change this.
  • 1.5 TB external DRIVE not recognized on various laptops disk
    Hello
    I was wondering if someone could help me.
    I bought my 1.5 terrabyte toshiba external hard drive just for more than a year. It works fine on my other computer, laptop and cell phone from my boyfriend, but when I joined four other new laptops (all different brands) recently it was not recognized at all on these laptops.
    Is there something wrong with my outside or something on these computers it prevents to be recognized? Do you know how I can fix this problem?
    Thank you very much!
    Hello
    And if you connect the external HARD drive to your boyfriend s computer laptop, everything is always ok? Only problems with new laptops?
    Well that s really strange have you tried another USB cable and different USB ports?
    Maybe on the new laptops the antivirus or firewall blocks access to the external hard drive. Check your security software and to allow external devices.
  • wired keyboard and mouse not recognized after sleep
    TL; DR after waking from sleep, the wired Mac keyboard and mouse are unresponsive.
    I have a new Mac Mini.
    OS X El Capitan 10.11.2, 16 gb Core i7.
    I had a keyboard and a compatible bluetooth mouse, but I had the problem that after the Mini for sleep, the keyboard and the mouse were not detected.
    I bought an Apple mouse wired and wired keyboard.
    I have the same problem.  If I SLEEP the Mini, when I wake up it (short press on power) or the keyboard or the mouse are recognized.  It's like I have no connected.  If I disconnect it from the usb and the re - attach they are not always recognized.  I have to press power to force power off and restart and then my keyboard and mouse are recognized.
    Sometimes when pressing the power button to wake up from her sleep, I also get a "flickering" image monitor, which improves if I turn on and off to sleep a few times, or restart.
    It is very annoying, any ideas?
    Try turning off blue tooth - it seems to me the pop up screen searching for the mouse Bluetooth turn on the lock.
