• Iconia Tab W510 driver issues (WiFi)

  Hey there,

  I am an Iconia Tab W510. Very nice, works well - I thought. I have the version with 32 GB. It is a device of demonstration, since it is the last of them was the store. Just like I wanted a Win8 clean and fresh installation I did full recovery for a long time through these 4 discs.

The broadcom drivers have been installed, there's no any errors during installation, but both, the SDIO of Broadcom 802.11abgn Wireless adapter and the Bus driver Broadcom series on UART Bus enumerator do not work properly, because they are marked in the Device Manager with yellow warning sign. The message for two devices in Device Manager says: "this device cannot start (Code 10)".

  I had a white night that without being able to find the solution. With the two drivers not working not properly the WiFi does not work, of course. And without a working WiFi this tab is... Well it's pretty useless to me. I read a lot of problems with this tab and its WiFi behavior but apparently not that somebody had the problem that I described here.

  If anyone have a solution for this, I would be very grateful. Since it is a nice tablet, I really want to keep it, but which is not not WiFi works its really useless. So: any ideas how to fix this mess?

  I've chatted with acer yesterday and told them what I've done. They came to the conclusion that the WiFi module appears broken, so I should send him my tab for repair.

  The last thing I tried was install Windows Pro 8.1 and using drivers Win 8.1 from the support home page. He gave me the same error with two Broadcom devices once again, so it may not be a corrupted driver.

• How can I turn off animations tab?

  I use FF 5.0 on WinXP SP3. When I select to 'Open the link in a new tab', new slides tab in sight, much like windows animations that I turned off. How can I get the old behavior of the back of the tab appearing simply, without the animations and cpu - time-wasting? Ideally, FF would use the very prefs that I put for the windows display setting.

  Change the preference:

  1. type of topic: config in the URL/address bar and press enter
  2. accept the warning message and continue (promise to be careful)
  3. in filter, type browser.tabs.animate
  4. on this pref in the lower panel, double-click it to make false
  5. close the topic: config tab
  6. If the behavior does not immediately change, restart Firefox and test.

  Try resetting your Tablet it will erase all of your personal information, contacts stored on your Tablet and all programs that you have installed.

• Pressing the Tab key activates the player controls

  I am simulating an application that requires the use of the Tab key. In Captivate, the Tab key is a shortcut for click box that passes just to the next slide.   Thanks for your reply. I had discovered this information earlier, but still cannot get the application to work. In the end, it was of part of the solution. Here's what he had to do to things work:

  Any time by the shortcut of firefox in the section at the bottom of my home screen Quick Launch I got about: config

  I removed the shortcut to quick launch firefox and entered the apps and the firefox shortcut added to quick launch

  The new shortcut follows my customization settings and opens to the best sites now, but also the new tabs to open up to the best websites

  I didn't know there is a function 'clear history of Firefox closing', I just do everything manually.

  Use "Firefox > output" (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing by clicking on the X close in the title bar of Firefox.

  The 'well, it's embarrassing... "message means that Firefox did not close properly the last time and had possibly crashed.

  The photo is cropped at the top or is the image from 2 inches lower then the top of the sheet and the background, leaving you with an incomplete picture of culture? I ask because if you use 4 x 6 tabs setting in the print in paper format dialog box, he thinks that you have 4 x 6 with a tab and explain this behavior. If this is the case, check the print settings and adjust the size of paper 4 x 6 without the leg.

  If this isn't the issue, please give me some additional information to help direct me in the right direction.

  1. What program are you printing from?
  2. Operating system you have and which version?
  3. You can make a copy of the photo on a 4 x 6 with on this issue reoccuing? If you can copy, this problem is isolated in the computer settings or the driver. If you can't, it's a hardware problem.

• My Aspire V7 582PG cannot detect external monitors

  I recently bought an Aspire V7 582PG, put in a new SSD and then installed Windows 8. The laptop works well, except that it cannot detect external monitors (in Control Panel, I get "Has not detected a different view".) I tried with 2 monitors (different models) that are known to work, via HDMI and VGA.

  I thought it might be a driver problem. Device Manager > 'Graphics cards' show 'Display card base Microsoft' and 'NVidia GEForce GT 750 M. The two drivers are up-to-date. 'Monitors' shows 'generic PnP monitor", which is also updated.

  Then I went to http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers to download the driver for my model. The only one who had the relevant air was:

  The HID monitor drivers

  My Acer tabs they need additional drivers to recognize the HDMI port.

  I think having unzipped in a directory and open a DOS window with admin rights and run the application inside that. At least if an error occurs, you should be able to see. Sometimes just doubleclicking opens and closes a window so fast that you do not see the error.

  Also in looking at support for a 'ultra' V7, I see several drivers for the chipset VGA and monitor. All may be required for the video display to work.

  Hi, I am creating some beautiful graphics for a company Web site in CS3.  I want to make buttons for links that have special effects when you ride on it with the mouse, click on them, etc.  (I use Dreamweaver CS3 to create the site).  I searched for tutorials on how to assemble the special link buttons, but they all use ImageReady, which I did not in Photoshop CS3.  Any suggestions about where to go to find a good tutorial, or better yet, anyone know how to make these buttons?  I can create the graphics very well, it is that they are bearing links that I don't understand.  Thank you!

  OK, I'm sure you would find more help in a forum of dreamweaver, but here's my answer...

  First of all, one at a time, click each picture that will be a button and then name it in properties (probably at the bottom of your screen).  This will be very important in a minute.  I would be the name regardless of the button says on it.

  Second, click on the first button, go to your tag Inspector tab, and then click behavior.  Under behavior there should be a little + with a arrow pointing down, click on that and to swap pictures.

  You should get a box with a list of all the images on your site (most will say without a name, with the exception of those that we have mentioned earlier).  Click on the name of the appropriate key (the one that corresponds to the first person that you clicked), and then click Browse to select your new rollover image. and click OK.

  Click on the next button, you want to make a bearing and repeat the process.

  If you are trying to do a background image, you'll want to use css.  It of a bit more complicated, but in your css for the button, simply create a: hover and set a new background.

• Alt + Tab behavior

  I use Alt + Tab to scroll through my open applications. I'm used to seeing a line (or more) of thumbnails.  The emphasis shifts whenever I press Tab and the system displays the full screen of the last selected application when I release ALT.

  Recently changed behavior: as soon as the focus remains on a tile for more than one second, it shows the full screen of this request.  I can carry the bike through the applications, but now I see the full screens instead of the thumbnails.
  I am running Windows 7 Ultimate on a laptop Acer TravelMate.

  I always thought that what you describe is the default behavior in Windows 7, but you might get what you want by using the alternative

  WinLogoKey + Tab

  This remains as a set of small images no matter how long live you on them.
