Laughing out loud

You must convert yourself.  ActionScript and JavaScript are very similar.

  • Flash actionscript to Javascript using HTML5 banners

    Hello

    I've been creating flash banners for the internet using Flash CS6 and Actionscript2. Today, I was told that I need to provide to HTML5.

    Of course, I know that actionscript does not work with HTML5 its all about Javascript.

    I have problems adding javascript for specific functions.

    For example I need the publicity to stop on the last image, unless the page is refreshed. In as2, you can use the stop(); query. I found some JS that is supposed to work

    This does not prevent my animation in a loop when I test it. I put this in the wrong place? At the moment I am writing this is in the Panel shares on the selected keyframe I want to stop the animation. Is this correct?

    I assume you are using the Toolbox to increase the power of the CS6 and not a newer version of Flash Pro. Might be interesting to read this article, in case there is something you have done differently:

  • Passing variables ActionScript 2 using javascript

    Hello

    I tried to pass variables to a flashdrive with on the page refreshes. In doing my research I fell I cross things like externalinterface and others.

    I found a javascript + actionscript who spent ariables flashing without updating the code page:

    I have therefore 8 flash with actionscript 2.0.

    HTML:

    <SCRIPT LANGUAGE=JavaScript>

    <!--

    function callJavascript() {}

    Mathias var = inputValue.vars.value

    window.document.myMovie.SetVariable ("testValue", Mathias);

    }

    ->

    < /SCRIPT>

    <object classid=' clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000 ' codebase="""http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8, 0,0,0" " " width="550" height="100" id="myMovie" align="middle"> "

    <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />

    <param name="movie" value="setplay.swf" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffcc00" /><embed src="setplay.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffcc00" width="550" height="100" name="myMovie" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
    </object>
    </body>
    <p>
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<input type=button value="Pass the variable to Flash" onClick="callJavascript()">
    <form name="inputValue">

    <a href="javascript:callJavascript()"> flash one</a><input type="hidden" name="vars" value="1.flv"/>
      </form>
    </html>

    I have a flash drive with a movie player instance name of myVid:

    ActionScript:

    var testValue:String = "";

    watchCallback = function (id, oldval, newval): String {}

    result_txt. Text = newval;

    myVid.play (newval);

    return newval;

    };

    _root. Watch ("testValue", watchCallback);

    The code gets the variable var in the html page. Pass vars to actionscript using javascript, displays text on result_txt and play flv video with similar name to a variable passed.

    The problem is:

    I have several a href links that I would like to have the different variables that they would pass to the flash drive.

    < a href = "javascript:callJavascript ()" > flash < /a > < input type = "hidden" name = "var1" value = "1.flv" / >

    < a href = "javascript:callJavascript ()" > flash two < /a > < input type = "hidden" name = "var2" value = "2.flv" / >

    < a href = "javascript:callJavascript ()" > flash three < /a > < input type = "hidden" name = "var3" value = "3.flv" / >

    < a href = "javascript:callJavascript ()" > flash four < /a > < input type = "hidden" name = "var4" value = "4.flv" / >

    How can I change the code so that if someone clicks on a flash of the value of var1 is passed to flash.

    and if two flash is clicked var2 are passed to Flash.

    Thank you.

  • How to convert swf Actionscript 3 in HTML5

    Hi guys,.

    I have experience with Flash/Animate but not HTML5. I was under the impression that Animate has the ability to export or convert any project of HTML5 or even Android or iOS. However, I could not find a way to do it. Whenever I try to convert or export, my project loses all its features interactivity Actionscript like buttons or drop-down list boxes.

    Do what I have to start a project as an HTML5 project from the outset? I need to program in JavaScript instead of Actionscript?

    You can convert your AS3 FLA to be an HTML5 Canvas in Florida who has to keep all the layers and symbols, but it will comment all ActionScript. JavaScript have usually the classes and packages, so more likely, you will need to rewrite all the code in Javascript in the timeline panel.

    There are other changes you will have to do too much, for example, sound should be the event and cannot be Stream and numerous color effects and filters do not work.

  • JavaScript, check if it is a number or a string?

    Dear Sir:

    I want to check if the variable is a string, or not, I use

    TT var = 'test ';
    isString (tt);

    I find isString() is not a function in javascript Flash?

    Can you tell me how to proceed?

    Thank you!

    Flash uses Actionscript, not javascript.  Flash has the function isNan() that you can use to determine whether or not something is a number.

  • Cannot call function AS3 from JavaScript

    Hello

    I am trying to call a function in ActionScript 3 with JavaScript. The problem that I can't get one of the browsers to trigger this AS3 function. Debuggers to say that the function is not defined when I call on the flash object.

    What is supposed to happen is - the javascript function calls the AS3 function and passes an integer value.   This integer is then used to remove one of the 20 funds sovereigns and load that into the flash movie.

    Please let me know if you can think of everything I can do to make it work!  I've been blocked for hours and can't seem to get there.

    Here are my actionScript:

    import flash.net.URLRequest;

    import flash.display.Loader;

    to import flash.external.ExternalInterface;

    var movies: Array = ["idle - ok.swf ',"idle - good .swf"];

    First, it loads it "Hello swf»

    var helloLoader:Loader = new Loader();

    var helloURL:URLRequest = new URLRequest ("idleAvatar.swf");

    helloLoader.load (helloURL);

    addChild (helloLoader);

    var setAvatar:Function = loadAvatar;

    ExternalInterface.addCallback("IsStatic",IsStatic) ("callSetAvatar", setAvatar);

    Then, this function must be called by JavaScript to load one of the other sovereign wealth funds.

    function loadAvatar(indx:Number) {}

    var url: URLRequest = new URLRequest(movies[0]);

    var ldr:Loader = new Loader();

    LDR. Load (URL);

    addChild (ldr);

    }

    Here's my JavaScript:

    "<script type="text/javascript"> ".

    function callExternalInterface (val) {}
    document.getElementById("loader").callSetValue (val);
    }
    < /script >

    Here is my embed code:

    <div >

    "" " <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="250" height="350" id="charger" name="loader"> .

    " <param name="movie" value="loader.swf"/ >

    " <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"/ >

    <!--[if ! IE] >->

    "" <by typeobject = "application/x-shockwave-flash" data= "loader.swf" width= "250" height= "350" > ""

    " <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"/ >

    <!-<! [endif]-->

    " <a href="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer_fr"> ".

    " <img src="http://www.adobe.com/images/shared/download_buttons/get_flash_player.gif" alt="Get Adobe Flash player"/ >

    </a>

    <!--[if ! IE] >->

    < /object >

    <!-<! [endif]-->

    < /object >

    </div>
    "<a href="#" onClick="callExternalInterface (1)' >click ON < /a > ""

    You don't appear to be calling any function in your actionscript code.  Names between and inside are in disagreement.

    document.getElementById("loader").callSetValue (val);

    must call a function identified by the string "callSetValue" in your actionscript code, but you only have an identified with "callSetAvatar" and the function associated with the one on your side AS3 is specified as setAvatar...

    ExternalInterface.addCallback("IsStatic",IsStatic) ("callSetAvatar", setAvatar);

    but you do not have a function named setAvatar, you have a named loadAvatar

    Here is a link to a tutorial that can help you see how the functions are specified between actionscript and javascript using the ExternalInterface class.  He becomes confused, I suggest that you copy the code into a word processing file, so you can put clear where they have the same language between them.

  • getURL (&amp; quot; javascript:... does not work on a Mac w / Flash Player 9)

    I just installed the new Flash Player 9 on my Mac. All of a sudden all my calls Flash actionscript to Javascript in the browser has stopped working. It is a call that uses getURL ("javascript: funcName();"); go to Actionscript. It runs on a PC and works on a Mac with any version of the player before 9.

    Someone at - it to another experianced?

    Well, this seems to be my bad. It turns out that the bug I reported only appears on an older version of Safari (1.0.3) as well as the latest version of Flash Player (9). A new version of Safari doesn't have the problem and Funnily enough the old version of Safari mentioned above with the old version of Flash Player (8 or earlier) is not the problem either.

    Anyway, because the version of Safari that I was testing is really old, I am convinced that this problem will not affect my users.

    Thanks a bunch to look into it and put me on the right track.

  • ActionScript stuff

    I wonder if there is a way to make a flash document full screen with action script?

    Jak14713,

    > I wonder if there is a way to make a flash document
    > full screen with action script?

    There is a way to make the * browser * go full screen. The Flash
    size of the document depends on the browser and the way in which the SWF is embedded
    (100% width and height, for example).

    There are a number of ways to trigger JavaScript of Flash. And old
    standard is getURL() JavaScript: Protocol instead of http:. The
    new security model in Flash 8 which is a little more frustrating to use, when
    test files locally, but for starters, you can do something like this...

    ActionScript
    getURL ("javascript:expand ()");

    JavaScript in the HTML page
    function expand() {}
    window.resizeTo (screen.availWidth, screen.availHeight);
    }

  • other languages

    Hi, I'm looking to make an app for the playbook and I see instructions for establishing a development of actionscript and javascript development environment.  I was wondering if there is possibility to program for the playbook using other languages?

    I wonder because there is a lot of code out there already written in c++, java, and so on and I'm not too eager to wear if I have to.

    Thank you!

    Basically the other languages are not yet supported. You can use ActionScript3 (Flash, etc), or JavaScript and HTML 5 stuff.

    The native SDK (for C/C++) is promised in the form of beta this summer and in a first version of the October Dev Con. At this point, in theory, we could use any language, if a door at runtime (e.g. Python) or if the output was compatible code machine.

    As promised (but it is unclear when... probably in the same timeframe) are tools that would let you to recompile or repackage apps Android or BB OS (both in Java) to run the PlayBook, but inside "players" who emulate (or something... details are not published) native environments for the respective operating systems for these platforms.

  • hide and show a picture by code

    Hello

    I want to just hide certain image png 23 ribs.

    How to do this in the code?

    The more I think, it is so difficult...

    You can then control the movieclip using actionscript or javascript:

  • Web site using adobe flash

    Hello. I designed a website using adobe flash and published online. When his office consulted the site works fine, but when people try mobile devices, it is said to get flash or plug not supported. Is there an html code or a way to make my flash site accessible to mobile devices without asking to get flash? Need help urgent and very much appreciated.

    What version of Flash are you using?  If you are using a version of CC, you can convert your FLA of ActionScript to a HTML5 Canvas document: conversion of your Flash in HTML5 Canvas ads | Blog hosting the Adobe team

    However, you have to manually convert all ActionScript in JavaScript.

    As mentioned above, the SWF format did not have on mobile for a long time.

  • How a beginner can learn Action Script?

    I don't have a technical background, but I've been addicted to Flash for 2 years.  Where can I find really Action Script?  (Should I be worried?)

    If you have trouble is a good question.

    I think you'd be better to learn javascript if you're thinking about 10-40 years from now.  JavaScript been around and looks like he will stay longer than actionscript.

    However, actionscript and javascript are very similar so if you want to use flash learning you earn will be widely applicable to javascript.

    For more ActionScript, use the help files adobe and tutorials of senocular (senocular.com).
