Activate BIS blackBerry smartphones

Hey guys,.

My friend just got a new blackberry (well, it's his former of moms). The Bold 9700 and there a lot of evil

It is a contract where he pays on R89. He gets R100 and 25 free SmS. The BIS will activate with his contract or at - he need to do it manually as prepaid?

It must communicate with MTN were the AXIS of the removed device on behalf of his mother (if she is always activated on his account) and the active device THAT PIN/IMEI on her account and make sure it has the BlackBerry data option on his account.

    Hi guys need help urgently...
I'll tell you all * beep * condition I bought the bb torch 9810 without a bis plan and I don't know how I did the bb Id and downloaded a few applications of the bb world but after my SIM in idea internet even after activation BIS (I have received several messages activation) only the browser works for me not with BIS , but with my regular data nothing works except for browser
Little things, I opened as the bb Id in the set menu, that it refuses to open after saying the device offline state and in the world of bb does not open and bbm not working after implementing screen need help please

There are four conditions, you will have to check.

Your device must be accompanied by a network of the company. I'll assume you checked this, and it looks to be the case.

Your company must provide BIS and you have BIS on your line (your account). Looks like it's true, but it is possible there is an error with your account. You should perhaps consult the carrier and check.

Register your device on the network. See http://support.blackberry.com/kb/articleDetail?articleNumber=000037347&language=English

    Receive service books. See http://support.blackberry.com/kb/articleDetail?articleNumber=000002830&language=English

I suggest saving the device first. Make sure you have a strong mobile signal. Wait for the confirmation message.

Then return service directories, or having the carrier send them. Yet once, make sure you have a signal strong when you do this.

If you still have problems, contact the carrier customer service to solve problems more. When you talk to the carrier, explain your troubleshooting so far.

  • BIS blackBerry smartphones does not re-login on AIRCEL

I bought a new BB bold 9000 a week ago and subscribed to one day BIS plan of Rs 14. I used it for a smooth day. Registerd my camera setup upward from my email, surfed internet and various applications.

Then I did not use BIS for 2 days. After two days, that even once, I subscribed for 1 day BIS plan but nothing works now. My network shows I subscribed, but the spectacle of the BIS service status is not connected. I was thinkng to subscribe for one month for 399, but how will it work? Help!

You can talk with your mobile provider and, possibly, the Blackberry. I have my agenda through Blackberry Internet Service synchronization problems, and after an hour on the phone, I learned that it was caused by a breakdown between Google and BIS. This is not the same as your problem, but talking to your mobile phone service provider can save you time and frustration. Good luck!

  • Email - pop3 - valid - bis - blackBerry Smartphones do not receive emails

I'm new to blackberry and I have a new storm 9500 series of verizon.  I have installation three (personal) e-mail - a yahoo mail and two POP3 accounts.  My yahoo account seems to work perfectly, but the other two pop3 do not seem to receive at all.

    Here are the details:

    (1) I have set up all three through the device

    (2) when the pop3 were not working after the initial validation, I contacted the technical support of Verizon and they informed me on the BIS website.

    (3) I've deleted my pop3 accounts and rebuilt the BIS Web site and post them without problem

    (4) I received my validation messages on both accounts pop3 without problem

    (5) I got one or two test messages for each pop3 account

    (6) shortly after, I stop receiving all messages for pop3 accounts.

    ((7) repeat steps 3)-6)

Finally, I went to the websites of these two providers of Internet services and looking for something special for blackberry support and can't find anything substantial.  I am at a loss.  There is no configuration of filters and I checked the box to forward the e-mail to the device.

    Thank you.

Bifocals - thanks for the response.

I think that I thought about it.  But to answer your question, Yes, I always send Service books to update my BIS accounts.

So, I use the simple Outlook Express on a PC "always on" at home.  It seems that my two ISP in question send a copy of the e-mail to BIS timely so my client at home receives emails before they are sent to BIS.  In the my client ADVANCED options, I had to put my messages to be left on the server for a day to give enough time for the e-mail accounts that you want to synchronize with Blackberry.  It seems that there is a lag of 10 minutes to receive emails on my client vs my device.  I tested this all day with good results.  So, originally I had my emails being rubbed server after childbirth.  What they obviously not send to the BIS and my client at the same time to give of their time to the process seem to be the thing.

  • Questions on POP/IMAP and BIS blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi all

I have a few questions about defining a blackberry to check your e-mail via BIS.

    1. What is the reasoning behind the creation of blackberry account sometimes POP3 and IMAP the other times? For me, POP3 would be something that you're not on a cell phone.

    2. Why is there no option to choose if you want POP3 or IMAP? I tried to delete the account and add it with an incorrect email address and password in order to get some additional questions during the installation but it does not require if I want POP3 or IMAP.

    3. Because POP3 seems to be an option, is it the same as any other POP3 client for example. Outlook, Thunderbird? What I mean it deletes messages from the server after it downloads? I don't want our users, that have POP3 because their Protocol on blackberry to have their blackberry is the only place where they can get their e-mail.

A few notes on some of the users and the BlackBerry models they have.

All users (as far as I know, there are some office users) have Verizon as their company.

It seems to me the question of POP/IMAP, I do experience is not limited to a single type of model. I have a few users who have the storm, their account has been set up using IMAP, other storm users have been set up as IMAP. I myself have a curve (8330) Mine was installed as IMAP, I recently install an another 8330 users and them was configured as POP3. Another user has a Perl and is IMAP. A user has a global publishing and that is using pop. It seems to me that there is no reason why they choose POP or IMAP.

Thank you all in advance for your help.

    Eric

Hello! I'll try to answer some of this...

    1. What is the reasoning behind the creation of blackberry account sometimes POP3 and IMAP the other times? For me, POP3 would be something that you're not on a cell phone.

... In my humble OPINION the "reasoning" is pure flexibility – to allow a user to access each account type and thus better reflect what they can do on their computer. What about 'if' POP should or should not be on a cell phone, which falls in the pure opinion.

    2. Why is there no option to choose if you want POP3 or IMAP? I tried to delete the account and add it with an incorrect email address and password in order to get some additional questions during the installation but it does not require if I want POP3 or IMAP.

The selection would be a chosen mail server function. Most of the facilities I've seen who have both have separate servers for POP and IMAP for exactly this reason. In addition, some services (GMail comes to mind) allow the user to enable or disable one or both. Instructions for configuring (and be able to direct them to an e-mail specific and, therefore, either POP or IMAP server) are here:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB10154&SLIC...

Non - Default BIS leaves a copy on the e-mail server for both types of integration. If, however, they remove on the BB and have enabled OTA synchronization and are integrated into a consistent account, it will remove from the server. Check this list for how it integrates with different services:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB05133&SLIC...

I hope that this information will help you get at least a step forward for the problems you're having with your users.

  • BIS blackBerry Smartphones has blocked my PIN - no data through the

I was with AT & T tent technical support to solve this problem last night.  It became impossible for the BIS-B to send all the data on my device.  I have already completely wiped out my "BOLD" with a reset, re-entered the unit, tried to return the service directories and had even AT & T erase and rebuild my BIS account.

Symptoms: When I try to send it to my email service BIS service books, they never come out.

Always mobile network diagnostics fail the test of PIN - PIN

Mobile Internet browsing works, but any application that uses BIS-B to transfer data never gets it.  My twitter app gives me a "network error", my weather app says 'update error' and google maps is constantly trying to load maps without success.

This happened all of a sudden yesterday.  It seems that the BIS has just completely shunned my device.  I plan to go into a store warranty AT & T later today to share devices and rebuild my account and data with a new PIN.

OK, the AT & T rep "I removed from the blackberry network" and I reconnected.  This seems to have solved the problem.  I get sent again, I received the service books I sent earlier and diagnosis shows a 'yes' next to PIN - PIN.

Looks like I'm back in business.  Thanks for the help!

  • Since landing in Dubai not bis blackBerry smartphones

Travel USA in Dubai, landed two days ago BIS does not not for all this time. I guess that it is not associated to the current breakdown and other services working on wifi. Specifically, e-mail is not updated via wifi, send or receive. Data service is 'on' data, while homelessness is 'off '. never had this problem before. Firt time of this phone in Dubai, has worked in other countries. Any thoughts?

    fireart wrote:

    but, but... oh, well.

Laughing out loud. Yes, I feel your pain.

There is nothing to test against right now. No BIS to test on. You can refer the service book, save your THS, etc., but when it breaks down you to "I wonder if this does not work because of the Middle East data blackout?".

It would be like test an fire hydrant during the shutdown of the water. "Yes, it does not.

BUT, when you get the job it works, here's a few things you need to do...

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

    1. on OS5 devices: Options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register. On OS6 devices: Options > device > advanced > host Routing Table
2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books:
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and sign. Then under help!, select Service books and select send service books.

Your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830North American carriers - scroll to select your carrier
Carriers worldwide - find your operator from the list

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart. This restart, even if you have already done this, is often necessary to install the service books.

On the BlackBerry, you should find an icon for the personal email configuration.

  • Recording for BIS blackBerry smartphones

I have a new curve on Orange UK. It was an upgrade from a 'normal' phone so maybe not implemented because it would be in a store. This is the device that uses my teenage daughter.

Have finally sussed that the daughter of reason cannot use Blackberry messaging is that the device is not registered (although normal internet access works!)

Have been to the orange page to register for design... used PIN and IMEI to be say this device is registered with another carrier. I followed the instructions to go to the tables of routing host and then on "Save". I did this several times, you can see the message but nothing changes host still empty routing tables. I rebooted several times including removing the battery and still nothing.

I can see on other forums that there may be a problem with some curves on Orange and it's something to do with Server profiles (?)

Anyone can do the light because it's frustrating my daughter and in turn drive me to madness. It should be simple, but seems to be a horror.

    With our thanks.

    Ian.

Solved! It was orange. It seems that for some reason any despite dispatching and allowing an upgrade that they provided only the Blackberry Internet stuff from the next billing date in this case so almost two weeks. The tech said that they needed to "open a door" to an end.

The telltale sign was that 'gprs' at the top right corner is lowercase! If TI active Blackberry it will be at the top of case IE "GPRS".

Normal customer support said nothing they ould I would just have to wait. I pointed out the stupidity of this especially that my rate will in fact at the time of nextbilling, so I'm not tryingto get services without paying! Finally, they put me through a helpful guy in their technical support from blackberry and it sussed and solved the problem. We were running within 5 minutes.

    Hope this can help others.

    See you soon,.

  • Wifi/BIS blackBerry smartphones

Hello. Can someone tell me if I'm supposed to be able to use wifi if BIS has not connected, which sometimes happens when Im in Spain. I can't. This should be?

If you have a BIS account, your WiFi connection will suffice for like e-mail and other functions.

If your BIS is not signed or put into service, you will only be able to use the hotspot browser to surf the internet and not much more. Your browser options > advanced > browser = Hotspot, then save.

Now, connect you to a WiFi hotspot and open the browser.

  • BIS blackBerry smartphones and POP server not accessible via internet

    Hey guys,.

I think I have some 9000 "BOLD" for some users at work.

We currently have a pop3 mail server that is not accessible via the internet. (Not webmail)

I could use BIS to push mail for the "BOLD" and would it synchronize deleted items / sending and reading of the "BOLD" back to my mail server?

I don't see how an email that I deleted the "bold" be synced to outlook on your laptop.

Kudos for taking the time to read my post.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

BIS, serves as an intermediary between the messaging services connected to the internet (POP, IMAP, etc.) and BB. If the server you want to interface to these BB is not connected to the internet, then BIS can not access.

BES might work... you would have to buy and host BES in-house (after make sure you it can interface with all your internal mail server is, of course), and then facilitate the communication between your internal mail server and your business from BB. I don't know the level, but I think that the financial investment to reach BES is not negligible.

    Good luck!
