Activation of Labview for Mac OS

Hello

I installed LabView on my Mac, but quite some features are not available, as it always is in evaluation mode. I'm never asked to take a license or activation code product and can not find how to do this manually or (it appears under the Help menu). I have also the version of windows under the same license, and that runs on a PC with no problems. Anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you

Remco

Timed while loops and DAQ Assistant are only Windows features.  I always use the standard file functions, so I can't say with certainty on the folder assistant.

Lack of activation is a good thing.  Don't worry who is missing.

{Soapbox mode} NEITHER has also chosen to not support DAQmx, a number of tools including the module State Chart, vision, electronic simulation and other perhaps useful things on the Mac.  The really unfortunate thing is that some of them were developed originally on the Mac! {end mode Soapbox}

  • OR MAX on LabVIEW for Mac OSX

    Hello everyone,

I just installed LabVIEW for Mac OSX - but I don't see MAX around like side Windows.

Maybe it's a stupid question, but where is MAX located?

    Thank you!

    It does not exist.

The acquisition of data for the Mac software is called DAQmx Base.  Despite the similar name, it is a completely different piece of software.  Watch this link.

DAQmx Base is the set of screw driver that lets the Mac.  There is no program for Mac comparable to the measurement and Automation Explorer on Windows.

  • HTTP POST 2012 of LabVIEW for Mac error:-1967362015

I'm so moving an application to a mac platform labview and I encountered some problems with the Vi HTTP Client functionality.

The connections work well with http requests and https in the project view, but begin to fail when it is compiled into an executable file. I was able to isolate the error code-1967362015, which reads like a failed to load library error. In reading the other posts, it gave me the idea of a symbolic link libraries ni_httpclient for the folder OR, but it does not solve my problem. This would have something to do with the fact that the LabVIEWHTTPClient.lvlib see the NI_InternetTK_Core_VIs.lvlibSL.vi to be a library 'friend '?

The vi I joined is he who tries a get or a post without ssl request and receive the same error on both when built as an executable file. It is difficult to debug because the vi client http is locked. Any help would be great!

We were able to get telephone support OR on the issue, and it turns out it was a problem with LabVIEW 2012 on the Mac platform. The solution to the issue of the library was the following: located in the/Library/Frameworks/LabVIEW\ 12.0\ Runtime.framework/resource/ folder should be a file called ni_httpClient.framework.  Please rename this file to ni_httpClient.framework.bak.  Then re-create the executable file.

This solves the issue of creating applications using the vi client http, but there are questions still pending building applications by using SSL.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

  • File invalid object in directory cintools for LabVIEW for MacOSX?

I downloaded the evaluation version of LabVIEW for Mac OSX and I try to use it to compile a shared library of framework that also call functions of Manager of LabVIEW.

The trial download claims to be LabVIEW 2014 32 Bit and I have set up a project framework in Xcode that should lead to a framework for the i386 architecture. But when I try to make a link to the file lvexporst.a in the directory cintools/Mac-O, Xcode complains that the Archives of the object are not in the necessary architecture (i386). By looking at the file lvexports.a with 'otool - vt "shows various objects in there files with x 64 in the framework of the name!

If LabVIEW 32-bit for Mac OS x is available with the 64-bit versions of these object files?

This has been reported and confirmed as a bug in LabVIEW 2014 SP1 for Mac.

    CAR #52530

Intermediate solution is to use the LabVIEW 2014 file or erlier that is a bit FAT and takes care of both architectures.

  • Trouble with USB-6501 with Labview 8.6 Pro for Mac OS

    Hello

I have a unit USB-6501 I try to use with Labview 8.6 for Mac Pro to processor intel.

I have the driver NOR-DAQmx base 3.2 for Mac installed and when I ran "Isdaq", it detects the device and also warned that the firmware needs to be updated. So, I ran the "FWUpdate" for updating the firmware. I double check the Isdaq and it detects the device as "NI USB-6501:"Dev1"(USB0::0x3923:0x718A:014386 B 0: RAW).

Now, when I run Labview 8.6 and DAQmx Base create channel VI and the port of 'physical' wire to the control, nothing appears in the available device.

Also, when I run the mxbaseconfig program, not the existing basic tasks detect the device.

Could someone please help me get this to work? Basically, I need to read and write slow digital data through USB-6501. But, the Labview does not detect the device.

    Thank you

    Keong,

I do not know what causes this, but place a task create VI before your code and the wire of the output task to the task of entering the chain and try to run that.  Please let me know if it works for you.

  • Is LabVIEW 2015 for Mac?

We have a license for LabVIEW 2015 and received the software on a USB Flash drive.  I have used successfully to install LabVIEW on my Windows PC, but am confused how to install LabVIEW on a Mac.  When we arrived LabVIEW on separate DVD, there was a DVD of MAC or Linux, but there is only this Flash drive.

I searched through files and folders on this drive, looking for Mac and Linux.  The only Mac that I found was "MAComponents", which is a record for the Components Wizard of movement.  Similarly, references to Linux seem to be especially RIO LVRT related and.

I called AND ask for help, but so far have not heard back.  I probably made a mistake in not making a formal request for Service, but the system was down for the day, I called...

A Web search for a download for LabVIEW 2015 detects a lot of downloads of Windows, but even once, I don't (yet) found nothing for Mac.  I don't know miss me something (like 'just connect the Flash drive to a Mac, and it will "do the right thing") - I must confess that I did not (yet) experience that I just mentioned...

  • Availability of LabVIEW 64-bit for Mac?

    Hello world

A quick search of the forum seems to indicate that there may have been some 64-bit versions of LV for Mac produced, but I can't seem to find all recent messages, or how I could get a copy.  Does anyone know if there are available versions, or if NEITHER will produce them at one point?

My main problem is that when playing in and manipulate data files larger than 500 MB, I get memory errors (my machine has 8 GB of RAM, and OSX has been 64-bit for some time). Looking at the monitor of activity reveals that LV allocates slightly more than 2.1 GB when reading binary files of this size (before handling and making copies, etc.).  It is, of course, pushing against the limits of 32-bit.  Some of my files are this size or larger, or require copies during the reduction/manipulation of data, hence the request.

    Thank you very much

    S-

PS: I know, I know, I've heard the arguments for MS Windows before, I'm looking for above all a response to the question, not an explanation of the reason why the X system is better than the system Y.  FWIW, in my lab, we use Windows (less stable, more software), Mac and Linux (more stable, less software; done correlation = causation?)  Almost never :-)).

  • Activation of Flash CS3 in Parallels for Mac Win

I went from Windows XP, Mac OS and use my apps Windows Windows XP on Parallels Desktop for Mac. Now, I want to use my Flash CS3 update for Win in Parallels. Are there problems to activate the software? Is there a risk of losing the activation? I ve red that normally the activation token is written on a part of the hard drive, which is not used by file systems, so that the formatting of the hard drive may not remove activation. But what happens in VM, because the VM knows only the file system and nothing more on the hard drive?

If you perform a giveback of license on the Windows machine (assuming that you previously had installed CS3) then you should have no problem installing on parallels. (On the side of the PC, it is help > activate)

If you have already let down the PC then phone service customer and they should be able to ensure that your installation on the side of mac has no problem.

  • creating applications for mac os to windows

Sorry for the naïve question, but is be possible to generate a stand alone application for Mac OS from code written in windows?

To make a standalone Mac application, you will need to compile it on the MAC of Labview version.  You should also make sure that you have not used the calls of platform dependent for example Active X written record...  I have another solution would be to run your windows on a virtual machine running windows on a MAC (I did recently with no additional work.
