Adapter compatibility: Ultradock vs Thinkpad

Hello. This is probably a silly question, but I need to ask him. I have a Thinkpad x 61 with ultradock. I forgot to put the power adapter for home work Ultradock so I used the regular adapter for the thinkpad and plugged into the Ultradock. On the thinkpad indicators show that the load, but the power to the monitor screen displays an error.

I'm doing damage to my battery or the AC adapter?

Thanks in advance!

There is a version of w w and 90 65, the greater is the version 90 w.

    Hello

I intend to buy the secondary Bay adapter for my Lenovo Thinkpad T530.

What would be the most important I should consider before ordering the adapter and HARD drive?

The Ultrabay adapter comes in two 12.7 mm and 9.5 mm thickness. Your T530 uses the 12.7 mm. You can save money by buying an adapter clone on eBay.

Here is a video of a manufacturer of clone cards which shows how to install the HARD drive on the adaoter and the adapter in and out the ThinkPad:

  • AC adapter compatibility

Hi, I'm not familiar with the intricacies of batteries and charge and whatnot so I was wondering if my charger 135W I normally use for my W510 will work with T61 my wife? Its original adapter does this thing where he makes a sound when you plug it in and it won't work every time that happens. Any ideas on this problem would be too large. Thank you.

You can use the adapter 135 watt in any Lenovo Thinkpads other than the series of W70x, who use a different plug.

  • Choice of adapter LAN: Intel or Thinkpad?

I am setting up a Thinkpad E520 system on the Lenovo online store and I have to choose between

    -Intel WiFi Link 1000

    -Thinkpad 1 x 1 b/g/n

ThinkPad is selected by default. Is there a reason to choose the Intel LAN adapter instead?

Thanks again Dave. Better support and documentation like a plus for Intel. Also other sellers of laptop computers generally use WiFi Intel cards...

You seem as intrigued by questions of language pack as I am by the packs themselves. Thanks for looking into this.

  • Satellite C870 - 11G - AC power adapter compatibility question

    I have a C870 - 11G.

It uses power adapter part no PA3917U-1ACA, who recently became damaged when someone tripping over the cable and it bends the end that connects to the laptop.

I used to have a Toshiba C660D-10W a few years ago and the power for this laptop adapter you still, even part no PA3714E-1AC3,.

Does anyone know if this is compatible with my C870?
It seems to fit but I wanted to try it incase it damage the battery or something.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

On the first picture you can see the values:
    * 19V * (v) * 3.42A* (Ampere)
On the second picture, you can find the same values.

If two adapters providing the same volt Ampere and should be compatible.

  • Satellite L25 - S1192 AC adapter compatibility

I took my Satellite L25 in the shop that fixed it and when I arrived it houses its fine, but I think the store gave me the wrong adapter because my machine does not (no light). The they gave me the back is a model API1AD43 number. Can someone tell me the right manufacturer / model of AC adapter / CC should I have?

    Hey Buddy,

they gave you the wrong AC adapter. You need an AC with an output of 19V with 6. 3 and when Googling for HQ you actually, I found that the adapter a 19V but just 4. exit 7A. It is not enough ampere for your machine, must return to this store and ask them for an AC adapter with an output of 19 VOLT with 6.3 amps.

    She's. ;)

  • Insert hard drive in Ultrabay 2000 2nd drive HARD adapter

I tried in vain to insert a hard drive in Ultrabay 2000 drive adapter. The hard drive is a MHV2060AH of Fujitsu (new) 60 GB hard drive (Enhanced IDE (ATA-6)). The Ultrabay 2000 drive adapter is reference number of IBM 08K 6068. The adapter fits into my Thinkpad A21m and my Thinkpad Docks. Try as I might, I just can't get the hard drive far enough into the connector to be able to close the plastic latch at the end. In fact, I accidentally broke a small thin strip of plastic on the latch, trying to close with the hard drive in place. I know it's supposed to tight once it is seated, but is it supposed to be so hard to insert? She isn't very good at pushing it in your fingers, or is there another problem with the help of this hard drive? Is that what I should buy another brand of hard drive or another model? I would be grateful for advice. Thank you.

Riders would usually be on the four pins are grouped together - on the left side if I remember - and they are no tiny circles more rubber in most cases. You should be able to remove them if you are careful not to bend the pins.

Hard drive model you do reference has been out of production at least 2 or 3 years. You might have bought one of OUR (New Old Stock), though.

    Good luck.

  • ThinkPad T400 WiMAX mystery!

I can see in the BIOS there is a WiMAX listed adapter (this is the ThinkPad T400 (2768-AD3)) and on the Lenovo support page / drivers section for the same exact model list: Intel WiMAX 6250 AGN and Intel Wireless 5150 WiMAX, but during the installation of the people, it is said:... .no WiMAX adapter was detected on your computer. It is possible to proceed with the installation, but nothing happens. So I'm a little confused here, she actually WiMAX adapter or does not?

Some machines shipped with WiMax / it's a snap accessory optional - just like webcam, fingerprint reader, etc. It's just like having the owner of the car of the manual. Even if you have purchased only the base model with a tape recorder there could be instructions for a CD player, CD changer, navigation system.

  • ThinkPad Tablet - the missing card

    Hello

Overall, I am that I am very happy with my Thinkpad Tablet Android (1838). But something which is a must for this tablet is the docking station for charging the Tablet faster and reliable than with a USB port.

But sometimes I want to host the Tablet each time taking me some time since I had to remove the folio to anchor it.

I feel like there is a missing adapter that connects the Thinkpad 20V - 65W adapter on port dock the Tablet, like a cable and not as a complete dock.

Does anyone tried to create their custom adapter, or is this something similar that can work to recharge the tablet with the port dock (but not using the lenovo docking station).

    Thank you

  • Adapter Ultrabay - HARD drive does not appear

I just bought a new adapter for my T400 Thinkpad ultrabay. I put a brand new Toshiba 320 HDD and place in the laptop. The HARD drive is another laptop but is still new, I bought my companion who has installed a newly purchased SSD in his cell.

in any case, when I placed the ultrabay adapter in the notebook with the new HARD drive, I received a message that Windows 7 was install drivers for the new Toshiba drive, the standard procedure. But I don't see anything in my computer.

HARD drive appears in Device Manager but not in my computer. See the screenshot.

I tried to follow these instructions with no luck. I also tried to update the BIOS with no luck.

The light on the adapter does not-maybe it is somehow off?

    Help, please...

Too bad. I solved the problem. I used Partition Wizard Home Edition to see the drive and create a new NTFS partition on the HARD drive and a drive letter assigned.

Thought I'd post the solution here if someone would know a similar problem.

It has a Lenovo 3000 c200 and the power adapter is broken and needs to be replaced.
