Adapter VGA DVI - HP 3500 Pro

Hi all

Recently, my boss bought a bunch of HP Pro 3500 s. They come with a VGA and DVI, port that we use both for a dual monitor set up. Now when we connect to these ports by using a VGA cable and DVI set up works very well. However, when we use a VGA DVI adapter DVI port, the second monitor is not detectable. Is there a way to solve this problem, so we can use the adapters? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

SJ Wolf

You use the built-in ports in the mobo?
One is other vga and dvi?
Is the port dvi - d (digital) dvi or dvi - i (ntegrated) - see wiki:
http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface#connector

Sorry for so many questions, but I can't find a document for this pc that displays the ports - just this one:
https://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.BINARYPORTLET/public/kb/docDisplay/resource.process/?spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay_ws_BI&spf_p.rid_kbDocDisplay=docDisplayResURL&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&spf_p.rst_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-resourceState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c03550750-1%257CdocLocale%253Dde_DE&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

If the port is dvi - d adapter-dvi2vga does not work...

I tried to connect my SatelliteA200-23W with tv (DVI plug). Like cable, I had was dvi to dvi and my laptop has vga only (female) I got an adapter (VGA/DVI). After that I made the connection (my TV is also a Toshiba LCD 30 inch) and I used Fn + F5, with the channel setting DVI TV, I can't see or hear anything whatsoever!

Any who tried to link its A Satellite with tv?
Must say that I use Windows 7 edition.

    Hello

To use the monitor external, you must plug the cable first. Then turn on the TV and choose the right channel on your TV. Next turn on the laptop and then you should be able to switch between monitors if you press FN + F5. Check it!

Also, make sure that you use a high quality cable.

You can use any DVI monitor DVI port directly or have any VGA monitor with the power that you adapter. A HDMI monitor might work with an adapter DVI to HDMI in a pinch, but HDMI tends to be more fickle.

  • MacBook Air + VGA + DVI - I?

How can I connect MacBook Air two independent observers (a VGA only; the other is VGA / DVI - I)? I have a VGA splitter, but using that made the two external monitors same.

I think that you would need some kind of hub Thunderbolt or separator you have. Just to be sure, your current solution made just two monitors mirror each other?

  • Issue with HP 3500 Pro Driver Ethernet for Windows XP

I had some difficulty in finding a functional ethernet driver for my HP 3500 Pro Windows XP. Then I found this thread: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Operating-Systems-Software-Recovery/HP-Pro-3500-MT-XP-Drivers/t...

Paul_Tikkanen links to a site that looks promising. However, the third link on the top seems to be completely broken. I tried all six sites with different browsers with no luck. It freezes everything simply. Now, I plead for an alternative download for this driver and/or the confirmation that this is not a problem that I am experiencing. Thanks in advance.

    Hello:

I was able to open the link and save the file from the link of US2.

If you can not get it, please let me know and I'll upload the file, upload them to my skydrive folder and you can DL from there.

Make sure that you create your HP Windows 7 restore / recovery discs before you edit or change anything. If you don't create these disks, you will need to purchase Windows 7 restore / support of HP recovery if you decide you want to go back to Windows 7.

The HP Recovery partition contains Windows 7 Pro and you create your HP recovery media before using the included Windows 8 Pro disks. It is usually professional HP computers that come with downgrade rights and downgraded the OS installed.

  • Cannot install ESXI 5.5 HP 3500 PRO series

    Dear all,

Try to install ESXI on HP PRO 3500 MT series 5.5. Its gives me the following error.

"NO network adapters have been detected.

    Can someone please help?

    Thank you
    Sriram Das A

Im not saying there is a problem with your network adapter, its just ESXi does not have a suitable driver for it. IM assuming that you use Realtek RTL8171E gigabit ethernet (received this HP site). There was a blog post from Vladan Seget on how install driver 8169 vib. http://www.Vladan.fr/Realtek-8169-NICs-not-detected-under-ESXi-5-5/

But once it comes to 8169. I'm not sure if there is a driver available for 8171 (8171and same 8169 is not in the list of VMware support)

  • Re: What type of video connection has the Tecra A10 - 11I: VGA/DVI?

    It's really strange.

All ports are described in the document user s manual, so please open and check the 35-40 pages. You will find explanations for all available ports.

  • Pavilion h8-1128 w/Radion HD 6750: disables the VGA DVI!

I run 2 monitors SAMSUNG my h8-1128, which came with a HD6570 of Radion Eyefinity.

Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Both monitors are supported by the DVI and VGA inputs. The HD6570 has a DVI - VGA dongle, DVI - I, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.

After watching a bit in the cables, I find this cable:

    StarTech.com DVIVGAYMM6 6-foot DVI - I male to male DVI - D and HD15 VGA Male Video Splitter cable

    by StarTech

    Characteristics of the product

Use the DVI-> VGA dongle on the connector 6570's DVI with a VGA cable to the monitor that is shared with the CATV box, and then either an HDMI cable to DVI or DisplayPort / DVI cable.

You have reason... that would be the way to do it.

  • How to install the adapter wireless network in Satellite Pro A10

I'm trying to set up a wireless connection with my Satellite Pro A10. I thought it was active wireless, but when I switch the wireless switch, no light comes on and there is no card listed under network adapters wireless (so I guess not).

Is it easy to install a wireless adapter (i.e. can I do it myself or I must be done by a professional)? Can anyone recommend what card I should by (or any other that I should avoid)?

    Thank you.

    Hello

According to the specification of the specifications your A10 Pro Satellite is WLAN ready. In notebook specification it has listed two compatible WIFI cards:
    PA3212U-4MPC (Agere 802. 11b) and PA3273U-2MPC (802. 11a / b).

I don't really know if you can use some faster wireless network cards with the g standard. You may be lucky and someone will post here results update WLAN card.

I'm not sure 100% where the WLAN slot is placed but check it please under the lid placed close to the battery.
