  I managed to understand this one some time back thanks in part to cor - el (but his explanation was a bit confusing). It turns out Durando's right - Firefox is not supported by iOS or vice versa. Foxbrowser uses an old protocol that Sync no longer uses.

  To add another device that is running the current version of Firefox (if update if it is not), you only have to connect to Sync.

  You cannot add a device that does not currently have Firefox, like iOS apps, unless it also works with the latest version of sync (which simply requires signing in). Right now, I don't know any iOS apps that do.

  On another note, how someone found it? I cannot even find it when I search for it and only arrived here with a small link at the bottom of my email subscription (other buttons led me to an error page).

When I opened both of these applications, they provide me an access code, which is divided into three sections, each containing 4 letter and or combinations of numbers, just that I see in all the articles designed to help me with this problem. However, I open my sync Dashboard and don't see ANY tab indicating 'Add a device', as the articles also say. If I click on the tab "I'm not near my computer" in applications (both seem to work identically) and ask me to enter my account and password synchronization of key information. I can't find an article anywhere and tells me that my sync key is or how to get it back if I forget ~! @!!!!!!!! Freaking please help me!

  Applications in the Apple App Store are not Mozilla and maybe I won't work with Firefox as Firefox has now left for Firefox Sync account. Mozilla has not all the apps in the Apple app store 3rd parties may, however, they are not controlled by Mozilla.

  If you see the "Configure the Firefox sync" button if you are going to the Option > Sync tab then it means that synchronization is not installed on this computer.

  You must first create a sync on the first computer account, and then you can connect on the other computer to this sync account.

  If you have an account, but it seems that you are not logged in. Please, follow these steps:

  -Go to your tab sync in the Options window.
  -Press «Set up Firefox Sync»
  -Press half 'connect' down.
  -Select "I don't have the camera with me.
  -Now enter your contact information, including your sync key. And you're ready to go.
  -If you have lost your sync key, select the option below "I have lost my other device" and follow the instructions.

  Have you implemented on each device to sync? Before can connect you two computers, you must have created an account on one of them.

  On the same machine, click the Sync tab, and then choose "create an account". Once you have finished by opening an account, you can choose 'Connect' on the other machine. 'Add a device' will now be available on the first computer.

  Sorry about that. Using pages have been updated for the new 'add a device' addresses in Firefox 4, but the add-on for Firefox 3.6 is still using an older, different process.
