I have a controller that does a lot of operations. My goal is to show a progress meter during all database operations. So, I created a class with a method to do this.   A task should not be launchedEA in the context of a thread, but as part of a Service (javafx.concurrent.Service). It is possible to be binder on the properties of the service and not those of the task (see title, message, forward and value).
