Add a USB joystick

Hi, I am a user Veristand 2011 SP1 and I'm working on a project thar runs on PXI. I need to control certain channels with a USB joystick connected to localhost. To do this, I created a device that is customized by using the simple tool of custom device and acquisition of joystick LabView blocks. VeriStand I created two targets: the first, running on localhost read the input from the gamepad, the second, in the course of running on pharlap, does the calculations. My problem is that the only way I found to connect the two targets is to add a reflective memory network. Because I don't need to sync and you do not have the reflective memory modules, there is another way to link the two targets? Better yet, is there a way to directly control the target pharlap with the usb joystick connected to a windows pc?

Thank you

Francesco

If you already use a Labview program to read USB gamepad control, you should be able to use the API Veristand in Labview to write the (double) joystick values of your model in Veristand input channel. This is done via the ethernet connection.   Use the API of Labview Veristand to open a ref of the workspace, then do a write-up on a channel or multiply veristand channels.  You will need to know the exact path of your channel veristand.  I hope this helps.

    Hi Drake,

Review the devices USB connected to your PC and make sure that there is not a USB 1.x device connected to the same USB HUB (front or rear).  USB 1.x devices will cause the USB HUB at the bottom shift to 1.x speeds.

You have an old PC (2002), it is possible that your PC does not have a USB HUB 2.0.  In this case, you need to install a USB PCI adapter card.

  • How can I find/add a USB port on my laptop which has disappeared?

I have three ports, but only two appear in Device Manager, and the third does not.

Sounds like the port suffered physical damage, if you had a driver problem, nothing would work. You can try to start/devices and printers/add a device, but I don't think it will help.

The only choices are to purchase a USB hub or send the laptop for repair.

  • How to add a USB microphone?

I am trying to add a Blue Snowball USB microphone for use in first Pro CS5, but it does not appear under the audio hardware.  No idea why?

If it worked in iMovie, then the computer is see it very well. In the first (connect the microphone before opening the first) go to the "Audio equipment" tab in preferences. Your "Default Input" drop-down list should list your snowball; If this is the case, go ahead and choose it, even if you don't have to. Looks like you've already tried this well. You connect the microphone before you start the first? And just to be sure that the computer is seeing the mic, go into your system preferences > Sound > entry and see that it is registered. Nice to go directly to the sound prefs keyboard shortcut is "Opt + Volume Up" (in fact, the volume keys work.

Let me know and we can go from there.

Also, you said you were on CS5, so things are different.

I guess you have tried these instructions?

Set up a microphone USB (Mac OS)

    1. In the application Configuration Audio and Midi in utilities, go to Audio > open aggregate device Editor.

    2. Check each of the following:

      • Your USB microphone.
      • An additional input device, for example, Line In.
      • An output device
    3. Select this new global device within Premiere Pro Audio hardware preferences panel.

  • Cannot add devices usb ESXi 4.1.0

I have 3 servers of comments on a 4.1.0 ESXi host 260247. These 3 servers require each license key usb (two sentinel superpro to safenet Rainbow and a rainbow ultrapro)

I had 2 of them related to 2 servers, but when I tried to add the third argument, it did not work. the usb device did not just stay on the settings page of the virtual machine when I closed and reopened it.

So I restarted the services (restart of service.sh I think?) and now all 3 of my usb dongles can not be bound to a host. They remain in bold in the list with an indication that they will be added, I close the window, see in the task of the latter that the task is complete, re - open settings and no usb device!

What could cause this? You guys ever seen this before?

you have 3 USB devices attached to 3 ESXi hosts?  Although below is not you exactly the problem, it will help deteriming if you are set up correctly.

  • e9105z Desktop: Add a USB 3.0 Port

I have a desktop computer HP e9105z with a motherboard of Paragon. Recently, I bought Linx mint on a USB 3.0. I installed a PCIe 3.0 Insignia guest card and tested OK 2 ports with a USB 2.0 stick. I asked the 'seller' uses the Molex connector. Says that does not need to use. Now after reading about the topic (I should have) I understand because of the intense charged with disk i/o, cameras, etc., I have to plug the connector on any available of the powsupply Molex connector. Previously, I have improved the 350w at 700w power supply. I need connect the PCI card to the power supply? The USB 3.0, I'm going to use a passage of up to 300mbp. How can I check it's speed, I'll get out the PCI card? Thank you

If the pci expansion card has a port of Molex, it is there for a reason. By all means plug in the power to it, notwithstanding any other advice. Why would you not? The speed you get out of the usb card will depend on the connected device and several other factors. Linux has a very informative file transfer interface that will give you a reading of the current transfer speed, can be started and stopped, like similar Windows 8.1 etc. But I guess I understand that you can run Linux Mint on the memory stick, right? Linux has a lot of comparative analysis tools available. HDparm is one:

    http://www.shellhacks.com/en/HOWTO-test-read-write-speed-of-a-hard-disk-in-Linux

Just boot Linux from the 'Live' stick and then test the speed of read/write to the hard drive with one of the tools for benchmarking. I doubt constantly, you will get 300 Mbps, but you should get much more important than usb 2.0 that would maybe 40 MB/s. You will probably get as 120 Mbps.

  • I want to add a usb 3.0 for a 380t card but cannot find an outlet.

Cannot find a power outlet 4 extra pins. There is a female P8 6-pin but I think it's for extra fans.

There are also two plastic plugs 'looks like' with no limits attached to the power cable & are labeld, I think than P4 & P5.

Don't see how something could be plugged into them as they are closed.

    Hello

Yes, you can get 4 pin molex adapers for these sata connectors.  Try to www.newegg.com I don't know how much power draw comes off the USB 3.0 card, but you may consider using an adaptor molex to 6-pin connector that is not used. Power supplies were typically 4 molex connectors that you can use a splitter cable in Y molex.

  • WXP and Portege R500 - cannot add a new USB device

    Hello.

I have a new Portege R500 Windows XP Home edition. It works great except for one thing, when I try to add a USB device does not install automatically.

I get the 'Add new hardware' Wizard, who found the drivers and starts to copy the files... but it's like that. Animation of the files copy in place going and going and going, but never leaves. From this point that the whole machine froze (only the pointer of the mouse is sensitive), it ignores even ctrl-alt-delete and I have to turn the machine off.

I tried several times, with a couple of different drivers and still get the same result. The device installs on my old M100, also running windows XP.

If someone knows what's going on (and more important, how I could solve this problem), I would be really grateful.

    See you soon.

    Hello

Compare 4 years, M100 (designed for Windows XP Home edition) and more recent Portege R500 (more recent hardware and Vista pre-installed) is for me quite flippant.
Can you please tell us what external device to use with your beautiful Portege? Perhaps a printer?

One more thing: have you noticed the same problem using different USB devices?
