Add dashes to the phone number

one of my clients trying to access his account of Time Warner but their web portal.

When it comes to the text box that requires phone number he wants to add dashes (for example #-#-#)

using the IOS phone key throws up, there is none, and by clicking on the back (<) symbol directs the user to the keyboard, but it removes the phone field and takes her back to a text tabled. Try to go back in the phone keyboard field changes back to the keyboard.

    Looks like you want to add the number of your iPhone to iMessage and FaceTime.  If this is the case, please see the instructions below.

    If your phone number is missing on your iPad or iPod touch

    Disconnect from the iMessage and FaceTime on all your devices:

    1. Go to settings > Messages > send & receive. Enter your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
    2. Go to settings > FaceTime. Enter your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.

    Reconnect to the iMessage and FaceTime on all your devices:

    1. Go to settings > Messages > send & receive. Click on use your Apple ID for iMessage. Then sign in with your Apple ID.
    2. Go to settings > FaceTime. Click on use your username for the FaceTime Apple. Then sign in with your Apple ID.

    Although, to "Restore the iCloud Keychain," I took to erase the data and essentially set up a new keychain.  Not the case.  Strangely, after essentially bypassing the security system, setting a new password and verification number, I see my cards, passwords and other data have been restored.  Maybe it's all the iCloud account and this master password.  Or maybe it's a bug.  With Apple, we'll never know.

    The phone number listed on my apple ID is incorrect and a phone from 2 years ago.

    I checked the number shows correctly on my IOS devices, all my OS X devices (iTunes account etc.) and the imessages and factetime.  I logged on all accounts on all devices (including the facetime and imessages) and reconnected but - Boulard... phone number of apple is ALWAYS incorrect and immutable to appleid.apple.com.  The phone number correctly absolutely everywhere else - shows info billiong, itunes, etc.

    I logged a request for assistance to the Apple and the technical support told me that she is seeing the same thing - so - there is a bug any on the new web page Apple ID.

    Anyone else encounter this problem is strongly encouraged to call Apple Support and connect the bug as well - you can check that your phone number IS correct on the web page of Appleid.Apple.com - FYI.
