Add hexadecimal bytes to form a Word
What is the best way to add the hexadecimal digits in a string to form a Word.
I am currently using the string into a byte array, then the elements of the array, but this returns a single byte, i.e.xAA + xAA = x 54
How can I return the full word, that would be x 0154 in this case?
You cannot have a hexadecimal to 154 in a U8 byte value because you don't have enough bits.
Take your U8 table and use the conversion to U16 chip found on digital > palette Conversion. This will give you enough bits so that you can add two U8 and not to roll.

Tips on creating a hexadecimal byte array
I am communicating with a PLC by sending data series in the form of hexadecimal bytes commands. for example
02 30 31 34 32 33 59 30 30 34 31 31 41 03
I implemented the communication protocol and everything works fine. I send my orders and I get the right answer.
the problem: I need to insert into my vi 3 x 55 = 165 at least these commands in this format. of course, I could copy - paste into a string variable and do my job. but I need to find a more practical way because they might change in the future. thought of creating a txt with the commads and then create 3 arrays of strings in my vi but I still need to send data HEX.
I have my orders in almost any shape I want as I generate them in python.
for example
(HEX) 02 30 31 34 32 33 59 30 30 30 30 31 35 03 or
2 48 49 52 50 51 89 48 48 48 48 49 53 3 (DEC) or
0x02 0 x 30 0 x 31 0 x 34 0 x 32 0 x 33 x 0 59 0 x 30 0 30 x 0 x 30 0 x 30 0 x 31 0x35 0x03
It works almost well, but converts me 02-> 0 to 30 and 2 to 32.
and that's what I get (display as HEX in table properties). I just need the line of the txt string to be interpreted as a hexagon and build a table.
any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Your code is too complicated. First of all, there is an option to right click on the file reading read the lines. You can then autoindex on lines, elimination of one of your curls. Second, you can do all the analysis and conversion of your row of data with just the string array spreadsheet function.

How to effectively change decimal numbers hexadecimal bytes streaming?
Technical support,
There is an instrument connected to a serial port on my computer which is streaming 25 bytes of hexadecimal data every second. After changing the display for "Display Hex" mode, I can now see the hexadecimal bytes instead of Laura. I use the "Hexadecimal string to number" vi with marginal success. I mean, that (1) I can't convert the entire hex string at all, and (2) when you use "String subset" to analyze different hexadecimal bytes I'm able periodically to convert a hexadecimal byte to a whole number. I tried the suggestion of molded type indicated in a previous post on this subject without change of achievement, although I do not quite understand how it works (how to set correctly the type?). Do I need a buffer to convert continuous hexagonal data streaming?
I would send my vi, but it is quite simple. 25 bytes of hex data in every second (1 second buffer), Index 0, default U32, sent to an indicator. At this point, all I want to do is see my data. I'm using LabView 8.5.1. Please indicate if I should provide more information. Thank you.

If your data looks correct when you set the display string for hex, the 'hexadecimal string to the number"is NOT the right tool (it hexadecimal sat in the format of strings containing ASCII characters 0...) F only). You have a binary string so labeled is the right tool. If you want the first 4 bytes as U32, simply create you a diagram representation U32 constant (the value is irrelevant) and connect to the entrance of type type conversion. The output will be a single wire digital U32 containing the desired output.
What is in the rest of the string? It cannot be U32 except if there are a few characters to terminate employment. Want to see one of the remaining data? In this case, you will need to tell us the structure.
So please create a flag for the string of your own, run the VI it contains data, then convert the flag to a constant of diagram (right click on Terminal... change to constant: this way to see what you actually). Now, save the VI and attach it here. Tell us what value you expect. (Things could be a little more complicated if you have BOM with the little rule).
I have a don't know what you mean by "continuous" data. How much history you want to keep? You want to stream to disk? If you just want to see recent history data, connect to an array whose length desired history.

Unlocking from a form in Word 2003
I started to create a form in Word 2003, it sent an e-mail to a friend to do a quick test drive and managed to block me on my own file. The form toolbar icons are not accessible, so it is not a problem with switching between design mode or not and the lock button is dimmed to where it does not give me access. What should I do? I have to start over again? Help!

When I try to sign and add dates in pdf forms, as I USED to be able to do until I'm so-called 'improved', by selecting "fill and sign", the page will just blank and I'm drunk. What's wrong?
Windows 7 Pro.
Screenshot simply shows nothing else that a header with a tab said "Document" that would bring back me to the pdf document. All the pdf documents I've tried, and that was the most I've saved.
Unfortunately, it came to my attention when I had little time and was both deal with the Australian Taxation office AND fill in the dates and sign and return that some docs of annual audit my accountants.
Solved the problem simply uninstall the DC version and stalking a version of X Adobe Reader online and installation. Hey presto, everything fixed. As usual the lesson learned is: if it's not broken, don't fix it "." It happened because I agreed a recommended update. Like so many others, Adobe seems to have problems with the "newer".
I now put on ' manually search for updates (so-called non recommended) and that's the way it will stay, and I do not seek. Also, if I try in the future, I keep the Setup program in a folder in my downloads, so I can come back easily, where an agency decides to remove older versions of availability.

Convert number 1 hexadecimal byte into digital text
This should be simple, but the answer escapes me so far.
The problem is that I am building a string of ASCII characters to send over a serial connection. The manufacturer uses a XOR checksum, resulting in a 1 byte number that needs to be appended to the ASCII string. And here's the catch, it must be exactly the number so if the checksum = 73, so they expect a string as such: (SVF, 10.0) 73 (I hope I put the value of correct checksum for the internal string between (()). It cannot be the hexadecimal value or equivalent ASCII, must be the number as text. Here's another one: (NUC) 58
My check generates the correct values that I compared against example of manufacturers and C++ code of another person who worked with equipment for another project, but I didn't understand but how to make the value number ending up as text.
Any suggestions?
-Bill
Hello NGC3123,
I think what you are looking for is the function of the Value of Format . This should allow you to add your integer to string according to all required format you have.
Kind regards

I want to "legal" a shape with text. The result being that the words in this form will show what background color of the shape is imposed.
Can someone show me how to do this please?
I asked this question just now but in re-reading it can't uderstand for the life of me!
Thank you very much
Josh
Haha...
Anyway, Josh, it's very simple. We all get a little noisy sometimes, trying to innovate the best method, but I suggest a quick pathfinder destructive operation.
Desctructive I mean it won't have a dynamic effect, which you can change necessarily after you have hired. Compensate for this by making a copy of things before using the Pathfinder Panel.
Follow these steps:
- Design your type.
- Design your form that you want to "show some background color, the shape is placed on.
- Set your type on the top of the form. (might make a copy, drag it out of the side before continuing)
- A unique color of color type, color form a unique color.
- Hide everything except the type and the shape (CTRL + SHIFT + ALT + 3).
- Contour type.
- Select the type and the form and Panel Pathfinder > divide.
- * EDIT I forgot to add here: clear all and magic wand to select all types and click REMOVE.
- Object > path > cleaning path
You end up with a form of knocked out. Simpleasy.

I'm running Thunderbird 24.5.0 on a system Windows 8.1 (both newly installed). According to Windows / Microsoft Update updates only in circulation are both updates optional (for Silverlight and Bing Office, nor who have or want to).
Today I prepared a letter of project, that has been saved in the subfolder 'Project' of 'local folders '. After further review and editing, I pressed the "Send" button to send the e-mail message. As expected, the window "Check spelling" popped up and said problems with a few words, who were treated by variously by adding them to the dictionary, fix or ignore the. When it reaches the end of the text, however, the spelling continued to draw words hat, presenting more than thirty extra "mistakes".
If this is of any help, these words seem to be 'technical' nature, which suggests that the spelling might have gotten in the part of the document or the system where it shouldn't be. Include "charset", "mso" (multiple instances), 'msoNormal', 'msoChpDefault', 'WordSection', 'qformat', 'ANSI' and 'bidi '.
I might add that at the beginning of my Thunderbird request and in particular the structure and the content of the 'Local folders' hierarchy, have been determined by the content of a profile file created on my old Windows XP system via an import in Outlook Express, which was in turn copied everywhere in my new machine. The project email which is the subject of this question was however prepared entirely on the new system.
Thanks for your input, Matt.
I entered all the text in the first box above. It was intended to provide an accurate description, with specific examples, the problem I had.
However, further investigation, stated that the problem only occurred when the original text was seized by an account. As a result, I just found out the signature html for this account file was damaged and contained a lot of invisible extra hardware, which the text identified by the spell check.
Recreate a clean version of the signature for the account file solved the problem.

Difficulties to download an application form (in Word).
Hello.
I tried to simply download an application form for a teaching position off the coast of a school Web site. Initially, the message I got was 'cannot start the converter mswrd632. I went online and then followed the instructions to remove the installation. However, the message I get now is 'Conversion Conversion of files, select the encoding that makes your document readable', with the default Windows, MSDOS or other options.
I noticed that the school, the teaching of advertising position have 365 Windows in use. Don't know if this is relevant.

I have a few forms developed for different types of application. There is a form of basic that must be met and on 4 or 5 others that can be added to him according to what all needs to be asked. I would like to have a button or a link at the bottom of the base form that a user can click on to right after it.
You must add the other PDF pages and use these pages as templates.

Forms 6i: Word 2013 works with OLE2
We have Oracle Forms 6i that works with Office 2010 (and older versions) with bookmarks with code OLE2.
Since I we have installed Office 2013 OLE2 code in forms doesn't work.
Word templates are saved in word 2007 .docx format in file data source (models)
Now with the 2013 (Office 365 also) Word templates word are opening but without filling bookmarks with data dynamically forms.
There is some difference or patch to work with Office 2013 (also Office 365) and ole2?
Our code is something like that
declare
application ole2.obj_type;
ole2.list_type args;
v_selection OLE2. OBJ_TYPE;
Start
v_selection: = ole2.get_obj_property (app, "Selection");
args: = ole2.create_arglist;
OLE2.add_arg (args,-1);
OLE2.add_arg (args, 0);
OLE2.add_arg (args, 0);
OLE2.add_arg (args, NAME_OF_BOOKMARK);
OLE2. Invoke (v_selection, 'GoTo', args);
OLE2.set_property (v_selection, 'Text', VALUE_OF_BOOKMARK);
OLE2.release_obj (v_selection);
OLE2.destroy_arglist (args);
end;
Help, please. Thank you.

How to add and remove a group of words in each page at a time?
This is the condition I faced:
I have a PDF document with 998 pages, first of all, I want to add a group of words called "Collected by Rocky" each page and the style and the format will be adjusted by myself; Secondly, I want to delete them at once.
Editing my Acrobat is 11.0.11. How can I achieve these two objectives?

This depends a lot on how you do it, but you can use a script with a loop that adds a field to each page of the file and then flattens the entire file, for example.

How can I add an opt-in form for MUSE?
I want to add a form to Opt-in to my contact page for customers may opt to receive a free report.
How do I do that in Muse?
It would be just another box to check or another form element with a fixed value that appears in the text of your e-mail. There is no elegant way of connecting to a database, or an automated mailing list with your subscription to Muse database.
