  • Cannot install add-ons for Firefox for Android

I have some add-ons installed. However, lately, when I try to install an add-on for Firefox for Android, I get an error message indicating that I have to install Firefox first.

Only, I use Firefox on my Samsung Galaxy S5 and would like to install more modules. Is there a setting that might make it appear the error message?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Looks like you may have tried to install desktop Firefox extensions in Firefox Android.

  • There are a lot of Add-ons for firefox. Could you add the use of memory and the size of the code snippet. To download a & search for mem usage... bad.

Looking through the massive amounts of Add-ons is a bit annoying. I always want to know how big the app is and how a memory trail I will get. I now have to download the application for size and then the search engine application to see if it is a heavy memory drag. Today, I tried a screenshot of Firefox Add-on. The first was 2.4 mb the second was 414 KB, it's a big difference. Then after searching memory, I found problems.

This info can be added to code snippets.

    Thank you

  • Problems with Explorer 8 and Add - ons for

I was experimenting with the deactivation of cookies. Now, my Internet Explorer v. 8 repeat myself that I have disabled my addons. I checked, and they are all enabled. He always said that they have been disabled. So I uninstalled and reinstalled Explorer 8, and he also said that they are disabled. But even once, when I check in 'Manage Add-ons', all are enabled. I'm puzzled as to what to do. I can't open or use gmail for this reason. I use Mozilla in the interval, but prefer to use Solution Explorer. Any advice on how to "activate" these apparently allowed add-ons?

    Try this:

"Internet Explorer 8 starts in"no Add-ons"mode when you use the desktop icon to start Internet Explorer.

  • People with disabilities Add ons for the last pass and XMarks running Windows 10

Last pass. E Web and XMarks modules disabled on my PC using windows 10. My Mac uses the last pass, XMarks E-Weband and it still works. Why are they add ons disabled on the PC, not Mac. I've used these all day and if Firefox will continue to turn off these three very important modules, I'll use another browser.

You have posted here with Firefox 41, which is a Beta version.
Is your Mac using Firefox 40 / 40.0.2 the current release version?

Not all extensions are compatible with the preliminary versions, such as the Beta, depends on the particular extension and if the developer of the extension supports the beta versions of Firefox.

  • Can I use the same Add-ons for the Android version?

I was thinking of buying a Tablet for use with my job - but I use a lot of modules and extensions - I was wondering if the extensions I'm used to use with my Windows Firefox version would work as well with Firefox Android?

Hello maxwell_smart007, addons for firefox on android are a separate category: extensions must be carried by their developers to work on the mobile version of firefox. Here is the list of extensions for firefox on android that are hosted on the official mozilla page: https://addons.mozilla.org/android

  • Firefox crashes while loading content and me must move mouse even though I tried all the fixes, including reboot in safe mode, see Add-ons for V33.1.

It does not matter what I am trying to load to open e-mail messages to commercial sites to watch cbs programming. The problem started a little over a week and I tried the measures indicated in my question. I also took my computer to a national computer fix - it decision-making and that they didn't know what to do. The problem does not occur when I use Internet Explorer, but I really prefer Mozilla. Can you help me?

Hello mozart99, several other affected users have reported that it was a problem caused by malicious software on their pc.

  • Looking for an add-on for FF button that launches TB (or any application). The add-on GetMailPlus I used is now broken

There are several add-ons for FF to launch specific applications. A generic "Push the button, launch any application" would be more useful. Surely, this already exists?

Hi, take a look at the buttons of toolbar - if it is not what you want, you can create one!

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

  • Many Add - ons unverified after FF43 update

Many Add-ons appeared as not verified after FF43 update. I used them for a long time and they were perfectly fine with previous versions of FF. How can I continue to use? Even the dictionary with my local language and the DAP are unverified. How can I use external modules installed, rather than the site of Mozilla, like DAP add-on for example, that came with the installation of DAP again? Button of Pinterest coming Pinterest site also does not work.

My suggestion is to add unverified option Add-ons for could be enabled too also manually by the user. With the adequate warning that this is recommended for users experienced.

I don't mind provide your comments because it would probably unnecessary as "feedback". Just, let me remind that users - their number and their satisfaction - is it that help a browser to be at the top. When I switched from IE to FF, it was because FF satisfies me a lot more, and it has been and still is the best browser imho. But nothing is constant, even the love of fans hardliners like me, and who are one thing is constant could only make a mistake.

PS. I suggested something, but not to appear that I run from the problem.

  • Firefox does not; has tried everything I found on this site. can not enter to disable add-ons.

Firefox does not open. Little spins of the wheel, then disappears. Nothing.
    Computer restarted - several times.
Reinstalled Firefox. Nothing. Could not open the admin panel. Can not open with double click or right click 'open '.
Many corrections on this site show goes to the Firefox button to disable the Add-ons - I bit - however since Firefox does not start, I can't try these options.
Cannot access my profile. (Have not changed my profile or add-ons for ages.)

Can't find old Firefox on the list of programs, so impossible to uninstall old version - perhaps happen automatically with the new Firefox download?
A ran Spybot and remove some adware and bad-ware. Still nothing. Ran Microsoft Security - nothing.
    I am running Windows 7.
I can't open the troubleshooting proposed below.
Firefox functioned well until yesterday. Sigh. Can anyone help with this?

You can use one of them to start Firefox in Safe Mode:

    • On Windows, hold down the SHIFT key while starting Firefox with a double click on the shortcut to the desktop Firefox
    • On Mac, hold the Options key when starting Firefox
    • Help > restart with disabled modules

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible, the settings in the software security and cleaning of the Windows registry.

    • Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

If you keep problems also create a new profile.

Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.

Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

  • suggestions and Add ons

I am quite satisfied with 3.6.25 and have not updated because when I finally tried, perhaps v7 or v8, he told me a number of my caps in wouldn't work, especially my Citicard card virtual number taken. It seems you'd want to make sure that all caps that ins would work with newer versions.

In addition, a comment on the new version numbering. I find it confusing and misleading. It makes much more sense to change the main figure with MAJOR updates, and then use the digits after the decimal places to indicate minor changes. I don't like the new system.

Some add-on developers are able to cope with changes in Firefox, provide updates in time for their modules and strive to keep their users happy.

Other add-on developers seem to be holding several weeks after a new version to fix their stuff instead of tests and fixing their shit during the six-week Beta period where no major changes are made (reactive vs proactive or wow, another release, already I am a professional and know about the new version of Firefox plan and assess Firefox users who use my add-on).

And some developers Add on is not a crap regarding the update of their stuff beyond the 3.6 Firefox versions (as happened with each version of Firefox major since 2004 version). IMO, they are too chicken to tell you that they do not want to continue to provide Add-ons for Firefox, due to the rapid programming release.

  • Why add-ons do not appear when I click on 'get the modules?

I tried to find new Add-ons for Thunderbird and Firefox, but the 'load' button appears, then a box that says "what are the Add Ons" and goes into the details. Said that they will appear when it is connected to the internet. I am connected, but nothing appears. I don't want to get rid of Firefox and Thunderbird and start over. Someone must know something is going on with this. Any help is appreciated.
