  This is the 2nd time this same question, the 1st time that I was given an irrelevant answer which was not helpful at all. Please take the time to read and understand what I need to before you answer.

  I just need to learn how to change the default PNG to JPG, so every time I save a screenshot using (only) the keyboard, it will already be showing JPG as the "Save as type". I am sure that it requires an edit registry so just point me in the right direction and guide me on how to do it, that's all I need.

  To help you understand my dilemma, I take a lot of screenshots and Ctrl + V paste in Paint almost daily. Since my physical disability in my arms causing me pain and discomfort when I use the mouse, I avoid using the mouse I use the shortcuts as much as possible to help reduce the constant pain, I'm still in my right arm when using the mouse. I hope I have explained well enough details.

  I don't know of any registry value, but you can use the key sequence to "Save as jpg.

  There is no way to programmatically call the functionality of an editor 'Use default' or 'Load Default'. To do it yourself, you will need to write your default values for each control explicitly in the diagram, when the user press the logout button.

  Here is a free software that will do it without risky registry changes.  Of course I would recommend when even take a few seconds to create a system restore point before using it, just to be sure.

  I am looking for a check on Type Defs and particularly strict Type definitions.

  I inherited code, I need to keep.  It has Strict Type Defs.  I had to return to my manual basics to remember how they worked and was confused for a while and came here.  I think I fixed it now, but if someone can save me, I would appreciate it.

  A type definition strict is a control and you can place an instance of this control in several screws, but each one will be a separate of each other instance of the same type definition, with respect to the values of it.

  The reason why I ask the next question is the project I am now has a strict type def in two screws.  Type def, MasterSelector.ctl, is a cluster of Boolean, which in each VI is read, and then writes in through nodes of property.  There is only one instance of it in the MasterSelectorSwitch.vi and the VTVMSelectorSwitch.vi.  When the MasterSelector.ctl is changed to MasterSelectorSwitch.vi, he makes no changes in the VTVMSelectorSwitch.vi.  It is not persistent more screws if I wanted the def of type to be persistent over many different screws, I put it in the Global.vi.  It is the only way to make persistent changes on the screw.

  Is this the correct behavior of the Type Defs?

  What I meant by "cannot change the appearance of the control" is that the control can change its values; Properties such as color, size and training are defined by the strict definition of type and cannot be changed for instances; using (low) type definitions, you might...

  Each instance can have different values, however. Therefore, type definitions and custom controls cannot be used to transfer data.

  Ahhhhhh...  I have a table of cluster type - def with a lot of elements in each cluster.  I created a vi, in which I have delcared a 20 items with the specified values (a vi that contain values of constant).  I made a change minor in my type - def, and had reset all values I entered.  How to avoid that in the future?  THX!

  One thing you can do is to create a "initialize" sub - VI for your typedef, which the desired default values (specified as constants on the block diagram of the Subvi) wires in places appropriate.  The output of the Subvi would be your typedef, containing the default values.

  I saw this issue everywhere in the web, but none of the answers I found to apply to my version of Photoshop (CS5).

  I want to change the file type by default when I save files.  I don't want to PSD or PDF, I want PNG.

  I want to hit CTRL + SHIFT + S as usual, but I don't want to select PNG in the drop down menu below, when I on behalf of my articles.

  I don't want to create an action for each file, that I work with - I want it to be a change of default setting on all of photoshop on each file.

  Any help?  Adobe has been zero support.

  I already tried the 'Actions' method - which is glitchy in and of itself!

  What I do is very simple - I'm doing slideshows.  I create a new file that is 1920 x 1280 (the size of my screen) and I have to open 100 + images.  I have copy and paste each image in the file 1920 x 1280, so that all images even show up on my screen when I run the slides.  I have re-size and adjust the position of each image, so it appears the way I want to.

  So I copy and paste my first image in the Web of 1920 x 1280 and then press F2 (the button I have applied to save it as a PNG action to).  It saves the file.  Then I copy and paste another picture in the file and press F2.  Rather than creating a new file (or a copy) Photoshop writes on the last file I made.  YAY!  More lost time!

  It blows my mind that a function as simple as 'Change default file Type' is missing in a too expensive, accredited program.  How their software engineers can ignore something that hundreds of other people (like me) have displayed a need for online?  Something so simple?  Andy why does my work now learn how to make scripts for Photoshop add a feature that should be standard?  Is - which is why I pay $50 a month for this software or why I bought CS5 outright for over $ 1000?

  That's what I'm trying to do--make a slideshow where each image is exactly the same size.  It seems that the only option given to me by adobe is "LOSS MORE OF YOUR TIME.

• Cannot change the default program to open certain types of files more

  I opened the month .package file type by using a specific .exe designed to cope.  I got this morning and by clicking on a .package file brought to the top of the screen "choose default program".  I chose the appropriate program, but it does not appear in the screen of the recommended program, and I can't find any way to make it use the default .exe.   I tried to change it in the area of selection of the programs in the the control panel by default and hot at the same result.  I can still open the files by starting the program manually and choosing the option 'Open', but it is a tedious and repetitive task!  This program is used to group graphic files in a specific format, and it is not uncommon to open and close files .package 5 6 times in a period of 10 minutes.  I really need to fix this ASAP.  My productivity has come to a near standstill.

  I'm on Win7 64-bit, the program in question is a stand-alone that has always been in its own folder in the downloads library.  I tried to move to the folder program files (x 86), but that did not help.  Windows recognizes the program when I make the request to select the default program.  When I try to use it however, it is not an option.

  I was going to link to the Microsoft Developer Network instructions, but it's a pretty large amount of information for it, so, let me suggest a small program that should be able to do it for you.

  So, I came across a few weird things after our upgrade of the vCO 5.1 to 5.5.  A really strange thing that's happened is one of my workflows started by raising an error saying "TypeError: cannot find the function replace in article xyz" where xyz is the value of the string.  I put in a record of debugging and comes to connect the object type, and sure enough, right at the end of the scriptable job, it was saved as a string, but at the beginning of the next task, that it has been saved as null, I think for the object type.  I tried all sorts of things to fix.  Finally, I just combined the two into a single scriptable objects and the error disappeared.  Now I see this pop up in another workflow.  Has anyone else seen elsewhere?  No idea what's going on?

  How is the value of this string is assigned in the first task of the scriptable object? What is a simple assignment of a simple value (something like "mystrobj = 'abc';"), or is it more complex assignment involving concatenations, as ' mystrobj = 'a' + 'b';'? In the new JS engine Rhino 1.7R4, result of concatenation is not of type string as it used to be in 1.7R3, but of type ConsString, which leads to problems.

  If this is the case, before leaving the first script task, you can try to 'flatten' the simple string value by invoking the method valueOf(), something like mystrobj = mystrobj.valueOf ();

  If there is no concatenations involved, could join a workflow example demonstrating the problem?

  In an ideal world what you add to iTunes would be stored in the iTunes Media folder, and nothing in the iTunes Media folder would be connected to the library. Maybe it would be easier to drag and drop the content that you want to add to the library to add it automatically in the folder iTunes, or place it in the media folder and drag it to the interface of iTunes.

  I have a Gateway laptop computer and I tried to use Windows journal without handwriting recognition.  So, he feels a bit lame that I can't understand how to enter text with my default keyboard or whatever it takes.  I think I'm pretty computer, so maybe I am an annomaly of persanal that seems to happen to me a lot!  Thus, any help I can get with this problem would be cool.  I type to fast however, just hunt and Peck, so please be patient.  Thanks in advance!

  Windows Journal is part of the Group of Tablet PC accessories. It is not a keyboard application.
  It is an application ink for taking notes of ink and writing to text conversion.
  If you want to simply type in the text, you can use a word such as Notepad or Microsoft Office Word application.

  If you want a combination of features of ink and/or the text of note taking, then watch Microsoft OneNote (think of it as Notepad Word, OneNote is)

I think I went through all the possible explanations using Adobe-videos, www and You Tube. etc., but I'm still too stupid, having not yet seized the response.  I am new to this, and it does everything just for me. If I manually drag the vertical red line along the timeline, then individual pictures presents during the masterscreen above, but they have almost disappeared in arriving at the other. If I press play instead, the red line is progressing fairly well, but still the same speed on the timeline, but I need an explanation to slow down or speed up the clouds-photos that I brought to the timeline. Y at - there someone here who can / will cut out in 5 mm plates of steel for me?  PS. This isn't a normal video, it's 190 photographs of clouds taken with my interval-o-meter, just to know 'how' in Premiere Elements

  The best way is to your slide show in a video output then re-import this video in your project and use Time Stretch to slow down or speed up playback.

  How you do that depends on how you plan to use this slide show. It will be released on a DVD or BluRay disc? Uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo?
