Add printer to dock

How can I add my HP Color LaserJet M277dw MFP to my Dock?

The HP utility won't let me scan to a folder, so I must do upon entering the system preferences > printers and Scanners can perform the analytical work.

How can I add printers and scanners to my Dock to shorten the task?

Thank you

Amnon

The Dock can contain applications, records and documents of the application in the present case is System Preferences; the best you can do is add system preferences in the Dock.  It's an extra click for Printers and Scanners in the System Preferences window.  You can also just keep the window open System Preferences, if you make multiple analytical work for a short period.  Then, by clicking on System Preferences in the Dock takes you to the pane Printers & Scanners (because it is already open to this component).

    Hi RobynGP,

This may occur if the print spooler requires other services, and these services are not running. To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

    1. in Services, right-click on print spooler and then click Properties.

    2. click the Dependencies tab. The first box list all system services that must work for the print spooler start. These are dependencies.

3 make a note of each service, click OK, and restart each service on which the print spooler is dependent, if the service is not already started. If a service is not started, right-click, click Properties, and then make sure that the startup type is automatic.

  • No printer in the print, only icon in the "Add printer" Wizard dialog box

Windows XP Professional - Version 2002 - Service Pack 3

What would cause the print dialog box does not show printer, only the icon of the Add Printer Wizard?

This occurs in only one (Eclipse) application on the PC.

There are 20 printers in printers and faxes.

I can not completely through the Add Printer Wizard and it will be case add a printer and/or set as default, if specified printer.

However, the print dialog box displays always no printer.

7 developers here, 2 have Windows XP, with the rest on Windows 7.

Only two XP machines have this problem with this particular application.

Windows 7 machines have the same version of the same application, but the print dialog box normally works for them.

If I understand you correctly, everything works fine except the print in a particular application dialog box.  If this is the case, then maybe you should ask the promoters of this request for help/comment.

Otherwise, given that the problem seems to be in the interaction between a particular application and a few Windows print API (probably the Print spooler API), you will be much more likely to find competent people to MSDN or TechNet.  Unfortunately, given that XP is on its way, it has only a single forum TechNet for XP but there is a Vista printing forum who may be of assistance.

The Windows printing team blog seems to have been inactive for a while.

Add a network printer (add printer vs right-click-> Connect)

Hey just have a quick question that I can't find anywhere.

To add network printers is there a difference through the add printer from the Menu then opening just the print server in the Explorer, and then right-click on the printer you want and pressing on connect?

    Hello Doughty08,

No, there is no difference. Both methods will install the same printer available driver and the two will work the printer even.
  • Why can't I add a printer Network Wizard "add printer"?

    What about windows XP.

A network printer mysteriously stopped working. When I use the wizard of windows 'add printer' does not fill any device on my network. Why? What I can do to add a printer. An error message is this printer not found on the server. The only thing that the wizard is in the windows network. I don't see even peripheral in the "My network devices" list Ant ideas?

I need a little more information...

The printer is directly connected to your network with an Ethernet cable, or is the printer connected to another computer via a USB cable and then the other computer connected to the network by an Ethernet cable?

  • Cannot install printer using Add Printer

Cannot use add printer to install the printer.  I have the windows disc and reach a point which requires a disc HP.  How to find who have no idea.  And the installation process stops.

    famman,

Unfortunately, if the printer is out of warranty there is no way to get free phone support, you can choose the charged incident. If you have a few options, take a look below:

    1. try to install the printer on another computer running XP.

    2. try to set up a secondary connection (Ethernet) option see here: installation of the software product in Windows XP to a network connection wired (Ethernet)

If you try them without success, then I suggest contacting phone support.
