The only way to add a second hard drive is to remove the DVD (optical drive) and insert a DVD to the hard drive bay adapter. The manual shows how to remove the DVD player and you can buy the adapter at amazon.com or jacobsparts.com. Note that this is a 9.5 mm thick disc, not a 12.7 mm. Both types are available. I do not recommend the adapter DVD player solution because you lose the use of the optical drive, and also because the interface of optical drive is usually not as fast as the main hard drive interface. Always fast enough for simple storage and you can run a video of her, but you do not want to edit the video of this disc, for example.

  We currently have ADR installed 2.0.9 on WLS 10.3.6 running on Windows 2008R2 behind a F5 load balancer. When load balancing sends connections to the server, we have configured everything first, everything works fine. When load balancing sends connections to the server to scale, we get the ADR page with "this facility has not yet been configured. The defaults.xml and related directories were created automatically on the second server. We tried to change the debug.debugger and debug.printDebugToScreen entries in the second server defaults.xml, but nothing happened. What do we lack? How set us the second server?

  The problem has been resolved. After looking at the directories and defaults.xml WLS created on the server to scale out, we thought that the configuration files were not created/copied from the original server. We ran the configuration of 'java-jar ords.war setup' on the second server, restarted the application of WLS and everything started working as expected.

  I use CP 8. I can't understand why I'm running on this problem. I have a series of If-Then conditional actions, but I am running into problems. I narrowed down it to this problem.

  Rick and I tried to explain that a conditional action is always executed completely. This is the reason that the second decision has been reset what had been done in the first in your first question. I have a lot of articles on my blog where I point out that bad sequence in the decision (or) is causing most of the problems with conditional advanced (shared) actions.

  You have configured the BAM cluster in active-passive mode. Given that the BAM server has not supported active active configuration.

Our current situation is that we have two physically separated data centers, both running vSphere 5.0.   We are just trying to place an ESX4.1 own deployment in our environment (no previous installation of VMWare) to our main office, using Dell M610 and blades blades M600 to what would become our DR - two sites site hosting VMS on Equallogic iSCSI SAN disks.

  I configured 4 of our blade M610 with ESX 4.1 successfully and they work very well.  These blades have double NIC onboard, and after the initial installation of ESX, I could go to the virtual switch and add in the second NIC like vmnic1 (because one had already been detected during installation).  This fine workd for 4 guests on the M610 blades.  However, I came today to make my first installation on one of the old M600 blades and I encountered a problem.

  Installation went without any problems and I was able to add the host in my vCenter.  I can change all the settings without problem (created the Port of VMKernal for my connection to SAN iSCSI etc, but as soon as I try to add in the second NETWORK card, he paused for a while, and then I get the following error message:)

  I have a new ESXi 3.5.0 update 3 on a Dell Poweredge server.  I have a QLogic 2340 card installed that shows my two LUNS of 1.36 to each.

  The first lun ID 1 watch, 1.36 1.36 AND available capacity.

  The second lun ID 6 shows 1.36 countenance AND NOTHING available.

  I've tried several things trying to get it to appear right so I can add it.  No matter what I do, when I get to the part of format in the add storage Wizard, it says:

  "Cannot read this disk partition information."

  I tried the following:

  • Logon as root and use fdisk to create a partition, the type definition.  It worked, but I was unable to see it as a data store in the Client

  • Esxi RELOADED

  • Esxi fixed

  • Our person SAN represent the lun 5 times

  • Presented the lun to another server running windows: success.

  • Verified that the logical unit number is present in the BIOS of CF card

  • Restarted

  I'm totally stuck.  Any ideas?

  When you say that your SAN admin has represented several times - lun the admin never actually delete the second logical unit number, re-create, and then represent? I've seen this problem before on a few client sites, and he has always been on a SAN entry level where I had to delete the logical unit number and re-create it.

  I just purchased an ATC-780-UR61 with a 2.5 ssd "standard that I would add as a second disk as the startup disk and use the disk of 1 TB for storage. Now, I understand that there are only 2 SATA connectors on the motherboard - the one used by the 1 TB drive and 1 by the dvd player.

  Is it possible to add a second drive on this PC? I read some other models have a m2 connector to add a ssd drive to, but I don't see any documentation that the ATC-780.
