Add video card model HP Pavilion 500-217

I have a Pavilion model 500-217 with integrated graphics running Windows 8.1.  I am trying to add a graphics (MSI Geoforce GT 730) but the computer is not see it.  Put in the new card into the slot of the PCE (the only one on the motherboard), I do not know of riders or swithces that must be addressed.  Graphs can be upgraded?  And if so, what am I doing wrong?

Hello:

Have you changed the 2 BIOS settings must be changed so that you added the video card?

If this isn't the case, please see the info on the link below.

If you did (or if you didn't, but then changed the BIOS settings) and the card still does not, unfortunately, I don't know what could be the issue.

Quick question, the HP Pavilion 500-217 support an installation of Windows 7? Reason for this computer is for my elderly father died yesterday, and it's not worth repair. I want to get this computer for him but I know that he will never get Windows 8 (his computer had Vista). It will be just too much frustration.

Then... I want to buy a HP Pavilion 500-217, wipe the drive and install Windows 7 64 bit.  I notice that there are Windows 7 drivers for this model, but I have to make sure that Windows 7 can be installed on this system.  Thank you!

    Hello:

W7 should work well on this model.

There are 2 things you need to do first...

    1. your recovery media set.  See info below.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03481733

    2. you need to change 2 BIOS settings in order to install and continue to run W7.  See info below.

  • ThinkCentre m91p 7033 D 54 Add video card

    Hi all!

I got a plug from the Tower of 7033d 54 m91p and was looking online everywhere to see if I could add a video card to this computer. I know that there are other posts on m91ps in discussing the range of the ati HD6600 series to the 7700 s but I wanted to be safer for the sake of my own computer. If someone has or had a thinkcentre m91p 7033d 54 (since there are several models of the m91p, I suspected that energy consumption is different), please let me know if you have added a video card! or... If anyone is familiar with this model of the m91p, please help me! I realize, because it is a tower compact that I would need a small and discreet video card. Thank you!

To be clear on terminology, your model is a Small Form Factor, SFF (the tower is a different model).

7750 is the best graphics card available (a 6670 also works, but has worst heat and lower performance). You will need a low card profile, and measure the length available, as it will be too tight. Get the one with the biggest fan, it will cool better with less noise. The PSU is a custom size and not easy to upgrade.

I use AMD Catalyst 13.4, it is solid. Monitor system and GPU time during the game, you may need to remove the cover from the pci beside the GPU for ventilation slot.

  • HP Pavilion 500 - 200 t: card memory HP Pavilion 500-200 t and upgrade information

I'm about to take my 10 GB of RAM RAM 16 GB of RAM and 500-200 t has only two slots for memory card. When I replace (2 x 8 GB cards) I have two 5 GB cards flying over. I need to know the exact left specifications more cards? I want to put the card in my Dell XPS 8500 4slot who has already 2 x 4 GB cards in there. And the specifications on Dell cards are cards of DDR3 1600 MHz. Can someone tell me the specs on the HP 500-200 t maps?

Please see the specifications of the product HP Pavilion 500-200 t and configurable Options page for the information you request. Based on the specifications, the factory in your computer memory should be 10 GB (1 x 2 GB, 1 x 8 GB) DDR3 PC3-12800. The speed is DDR3 - 1600 MHz. The size is a guess based on your statement "I'll have two 5 GB cards flying." Memory is available in sizes based on the binary progression... example... 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, etc. There is no such thing as a 5-GB card.

As to put in your Dell... it may or may not work depending on the latency and/or refresh, or if it is dual channel.

  • Video card compatible for Pavilion 2009

The motherboard is a 2A6C of Pegatron Corporation.

[Nvidia Chipset: MCP61 Rev A3] [Nvidia Southbridge: MCP61 Rev A2]

    LPCIO: Door F8000.

    POWER SUPPLY: Bestec, 300W MAX.

I have 4 GB of RAM in it right now. I bought some incompatible RAM cards that are 2 x 4.

The current graphics "card" is an integrated Nvidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 [Core: 425, memory: 800 MHz, size: 256 MB].

    CPU: AMD Anthlon he's X 4 640

I understand that I may upgrade my powersupply stock to add on a video card. But I don't want to put anything else at the moment. I put the bar to Diablo 3 settings means all about 30 fps. So much better, if you can not do without to upgrade the video card and power supply then my other options in the list please. Money is a problem, but I'll still hear you. I really want to paly games like Smite, Call of Duty, ect.

    Hello

Looking for probably $ 150 for upgrades for your PC until the system requirements for Diablo III. If you don't want to spend $150 to get the Call of Duty and Diablo III to run the recommendations system by some gambling sites then look at another PC.

The processor and the memory of your PC are very good.  What you need is a video card and a power supply upgrade.  Look at the #8 on this publication threadmessage.

  • Update video card for HP Pavilion Dv7 2040us

HI My Dv7-2040us has an ATI Radeon 4650 video card. I want to run some new games and I need at least of 4860 to execute. I looked around and it seems that I need to get a new card and install it directly on my motherboard. It is all do able for me I just need to know which new card would be compatible with my laptop model. If anyone knows who or where I can start looking for one I would greatly appreciate the info. Thank you!

    Hello:

The only way you can update the video in your laptop is to replace the motherboard together with the one who has a better video solution.

However, when you look at Chapter 3 of the the service manual on the link below, you are already at the top of the mark about what video chip is on the available motherboards.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01689926.PDF

So, you will have to live with the status quo or to buy a new laptop.

  • How can I replace the video card in my Pavilion a6357c desktop PC

My monitor is completely empty - and on the health check - free service at Office Depot - looks like my video card is nonfunctional - how can I buy the part and change the video or equivalent card?

cschan wrote... "I tried to look it up to accesorries in HP Web site or on the internet / amazon etc to find a similar card, but to no avail as the map is not clearly specified on the specs of the computer, nor on the removed card from the computer.

@cschan... As I mentioned previously, your system is not a graphics card... the graphical subsystem is part of what is called the chipset. Your computer will accept almost any card PCIe x 16 market chart, however the 250 watt power supply will limit your choices. Buying a new power supply will give you more chioces, but it's an additional expense. The two components will run around $100 - $150.

I would say a little more troubleshooting before investing in some new parts. Borrow a well-known work PCIe x 16 graphics card and install it in your computer to see if your problem persists.

  • Can I upgrade the video card in my Pavilion m6-1045dx?

The vehicle currently has graphics Intel HD 4000, but I was wondering if, because it is not as fast as it should to play games like the Sims 3, which could be improved. It is a Windows 7 64 bit

    Hello:

The video card is unable to be upgraded without a complete replacement of the motherboard.

The cost of making such a replacement would likely exceed the cost of trading or selling your laptop and buy one with the desired graphic solution.

Below is the link to the service manual.

Motherboards supported is listed in Chapter 3.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03328663.PDF

Based on the specifications of your laptop, the best video solution is the motherboard with part # 686930-001.

The cost of this motherboard is $447,45.

    Not worth it, IMO.

  • ProBook 450 G3 (T3L12UT #ABA): you can add video card for G3 450 Probook?

    Hello

I am looking to buy a Probook 450 G3, a model that only comes with the integrated graphics card.  I see that in the manual a dedicated graphics card (if I read correctly) is an option for the laptop.  I wonder if anyone knows if this can be added later on (for example I am on a budget and cannot afford the model without a dedicated graphics card, but may be able to upgrade down the road)?

    Thank you

    Phil

    Hi, Phil:

There is no provision to add a chart 'card' in your laptop as you can with many of the PC desktop.

On most laptops, the GPU are part of the system board.

Dedicated GPUS have a system of separate graphics memory of PC system memory and can also use part of this memory system if necessary.

In order to have a graphics system dedicated to your laptop, the card mother together would be so should be replaced with one of those enrolled in the service including the switchable graphics feature manual.

This would be very expensive and labor intensive.

Only the most expensive mobile company HP workstations may still have different available graphics cards.

  • Pavilion HPE h8 - 1380t: video card upgrade for Pavilion HPE h8 - 1380t

    Hi all

I recently bought a map GTX1060 (from a MSI GeForce GT640) 4 year old GPU from nVidia in line in order to improve the capacity of my machine so that I would be able to play Fallout 4 and 3 Witcher (both put my poor old GT640 kneeling - even on lower resolution settings).  It is part of the case and the powers that be (Yes, I plug in the connector 6-pin PSU) and 600W POWER supply is adequate for the task, but I'm starting to think that I probably have a motherboard compatibility issue.

When I install the card and turn on the PC, it hangs at the splash screen of installation (a common problem from what I've already read on these forums) and that it goes no further (keyboard and mouse do not respond at this time here).  I contacted the nVidia support, and they suggested some changes to the BIOS (disable Secure Boot, activate the Legacy/MSC Mode and switching between legacy and UEFI BIOS selection Mode), but when I access the HP configuration utility (F10 on boot to top with GT640 card installed), these options are not put at my disposal.

Is it possible for me to access the BIOS settings that nVidia has indicated I should be adjusted?

This GPU card simply is not at all compatible with my motherboard?

    System Specs:

    HP model number: B4J28AV #ABA (Pavilion HPE h8 - 1380t)

    Motherboard: Pegatron 2ACE(Socket 0); 1.08; Intel Sandy Bridge-E Rev. 07; Intel Southbridge X 79 Rev 05

    BIOS: FRIEND 7.15

    CPU: Intel Core i7 3930 K (3.2 GHz)

    OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, SP1

Current GPU: MSI GeForce GT640; Driver 10.18.13.6881

If the GTX1060 is not compatible, which is the highest card GPU nVidia performance that can be used with this motherboard (given the limitation of power supply 600W)?

Is there another motherboard for this machine which would be compatible with my existing CPU and the GTX1060?

    Thanks for your help...

    Hello

    The h8 1380t has a Pegatron motherboard 'Pittsburgh '.

You could try to find a future revision of this motherboard. I'm also a 810-150se with a map of the 'Pittsburgh2' system that has UEFI. I use a card Nvidia GTX EVGA FTW 970 with excellent results.

You will need to check that the Review Board would fit in your frame.

    The other options are:

1.new want to expedition with Win 7 Pro, or

    2 falcon Northwest.

In a map of the main current system the permutation of Asus, Gigabyte or Asrock is difficult at best. You have to change other components such as the processor, heat sink, fan and the memory. You can probably buy an OEM of Windows 7 Pro version.

It becomes quite expensive when you do the math on all of the changes you will have to do. There is no guarantee that you can find a map of the main current system having the correct spacers for your chassis h8 - 1380t.

Avoid a Skylake processor if you can unless you don't mind jumping through a few extra hoops to install Win 7.

Please consult this article and go here for the workaround resolved the problem installing win 7.

Has anyone upgraded the power on this machine? The new GPU I want says it requires 400w and this one has only 300w.  Also, if I ignored that, this device seems not having all the extra power connectors that I see in any case.

Does anyone have a suggestion of a power supply meets these requirements?
