Added Yahoo Toolbar and Add-ons Manager no longer shows the extensions one I can't access the function "get addons".

I added a Yahoo toolbar for Firefox that has been customized for Frontier Communications. I Ghostery installed as an add-on, and she flashed a message that Yahoo toolbar confused its effective functioning and I would like to disable or uninstall the toolbar. I open the Add-ons Manager to do and much to my surprise he now showed no extension at all, but they all seemed still works! All my plug-ins appear when I look on the Add-ons Manager. I checked the "Get function modules and it tries to load but does not succeed." I am running Firefox 10.0.2.

Please also try to delete the extensions.* files in the right out of the Firefox profile folder. Firefox will recreate the files and information. Please note that at the next startup, Firefox can request permissions, opening several tabs with each tab corresponds to a detected extension. Select allow the installation, click continue, but click on restart only on the last tab. You can also try to leave out the suspects without selecting modules and continue. I hope it will solve the problem.

Files & Firefox profile folder

Another way would be to try a new profile. Firefox stores the data from profile/personal separately from its installation folder. If the new profile is correct, you can later copy/replace files of the old profile in it, for example. the places.sqlite who holds history + information of favorites, the folder of bookmarks which has backups dated only bookmarks, signons3.txt + signons.sqlite which are necessary to restore successfully a saved website names to user/passwords etc. Please note that in this case, although it is also possible to copy the extensions it may be preferable to install again via Tools > Modules search box or AMO.

This could be simply addons.mozilla.org getting hammered at times as people are looking for updates of the extension as Firefox 6.0/3.6.20, Thunderbird 6.0 and SeaMonkey 2.3 was released Tuesday today.

Simply select the Extensions or Plugins or appearance (themes) and it will open this Panel next time instead of modules to get Panel.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

Delete the files (extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created if necessary.

    See "extension corrupted files:

If you see disabled extensions, is not compatible, in "tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button, on the left side of the search bar (or click on the"Find updates"button in older versions of Firefox) to do a check of compatibility or to see if there is an available update compatibility.

  • Add-ons Manager will not open watch just the loading animation

Try to look and check out the modules using the Manager of modules as follows:
Tools - modules leading to new tab opening, but all that is displayed is the loading with the timer animation icon. I've now left on for more than 45 minutes before writing this information.
The problem arises after the upgrade from Version 4 to Version 5 earlier this year.

I had this problem a few hours ago. It acts like the Add-ons Manager is "stuck" loading all Extensions and Plug-ins.

Try this "correction". (It worked for me.)
Restart Firefox in Mode safe (go to help-> restart with modules disabled...)
In Safe Mode to display the Manager of modules again. It should take over.
Verify that you can see the list of Extensions and Plug-ins.
    Manager modules, additional check updates.
"Restart Firefox to return to" normal ".
    Start the add-on Manager.
    It should load normally.

  • I have install an add-on for Firefox, but it does not appear in my list of Add-ons Manager, and after I restarted Firefox, it went.

I try to install 1-Click Youtube Video dDownloader, which is supposed to add a download button to Yuotube video pages. I go here:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/1-click-YouTube-video-download/

and I click 'add to Firefox '. It gives me the window "install now". I click on 'Install now' and it is said that Firefox has to restart and it will be installed when Firefox opens again. If I click "Restart now" and restart Firefox. Then I go on Youtube, but no button. I check the page of the Add-ons Manager, and I see that it is installed in the extensions. So, if I go to the page and click 'Add to Firefox' once again and restart once again, go to Youtube, the download button IS there, and it works perfectly. But if I exit and restart Firefox, the download button is once again absent, but the extension is always installed. Why this extension works only when I restart twice, and then it disappears again?

When the button does not appear, but the extension is marked as active, try to reload the page to Youtube without using the cache by pressing command + shift + r to see if that triggers the extension to insert the button.

If it remains inconsistent, I would like to ask the developer to Add on to their Contact page: http://www.clickvideodownload.com/contact.php

Hmm, a user in another thread said extensions endangered at Windows startup. Sometimes 'cleaning' software will change the files in the profile folder of Firefox on a calendar, including at Windows startup. If you have a software like that, you can exclude Firefox?

    Two other thoughts:

    (1) you use a complete theme? It is more than a nice toolbar background and can affect the functioning of the integrated pages.

    (2) in case there is a problem with the damaged program files, you can try this:

    Clean reinstall it

We use this name, but it isn't about deleting your settings, this is to ensure that the program, files are clean (not incompatible, corrupt or exotic code files). As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

    (A) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 42.0 https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

    (B) the release of Firefox (if any).

    (C) simply rename the folder of the current programme, either:

    (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

    (Windows 32-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

    (D) run the installer downloaded to (A). It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

Page modules work in the reinstalled Firefox? If this is not the case, there is always a problem in the profile folder.

Note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • \OldFirefox\Plugins
    • \OldFirefox\browser\plugins

Otherwise, there is no reason to keep the old folder except research/curiosity.

  • When Firefox has been updated automatically, it deleted my yahoo toolbar and I cannot reinstall it.

When Firefox is automatically updated to 29, he deleted my yahoo toolbar and I cannot reinstall it. I go through the motions of the installation of the toolbar, and when I restart Firefox, the toolbar is there for a split second and then is removed from the display. I have since withdrawn from the Firefox's automatic update feature and update only if I deem it necessary and non-destructive. In the past, your software has also removed the Add on Social Fixer. I am aware that Facebook likes to not Fixer Social. Mozilla should remain neutral. You shouldn't Facebook dirty work for them. I can do without Facebook and I can also do it without Firefox.

    Hello

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.

WARNING: Uninstaller or the use of Firefox and not run a third remover as part of this process, because who could permanently delete your Firefox data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and passwords saved. These can be recovered, unless they have been backed up on an external device!

Please report back to see if this helped you!

    Thank you.

  • Why nothing appears when I select "extensions" in the Add-ons Manager?

Somehow, an extension/app called Coupon Saver (which I never did and which is really annoying) has been installed. I've uninstalled it on my laptop, but it must also be removed from FireFox. However, whenever I'm in the 'Extensions' Panel in the Add-ons Manager, nothing comes at all. It shows all the tabs on the right with "Extensions" highlighted, but beside that is nothing else than a blue screen. Why is this and how can I fix this so I can removed the form for adding offending my browser? Thank you for your time.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

Delete the files (extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created if necessary.

    See "extension corrupted files:

If you see disabled extensions or is not compatible in ' Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button, on the side of the left end of the search bar to check if there is an update available compatibility.

If this did not help, then also delete the addons.sqlite file.

  • There is an area in which I can't use my mouse to click on. It is about 1 1/4 inches high. On my Yahoo home page, it begins at the lower end of the Yahoo toolbar and get down from there. This area exists on all sites, that I'm on Firefox.

This area exists on all sites, that I'm on Firefox. If I switch to IE as my browser, I don't have the problem.

Recently, the Yahoo toolbar and the extension of Babylon have been reported because of this problem. They appear to overlap invisibly on the top of the display of the web page. If you have one or both, uninstall or disable them/it or see if an update is available that solves the problem.

I have some add-ons installed that keep disappears from the toolbar at the top of the page where I want what they (next to the search bar). There is no arrow indicating that they are actually there but hidden. They are not there. I guess that there is some kind of conflict, but I don't know what it could be. There seems to be a problem with Ublock. If I uninstall it, the Add-ons reappear and I am able to put them in the toolbar. I installed Adblock Plus.

I don't have these problems on my PC which has Windows XP Pro SP3 and the current Firefox with the same type of Ublock. So I don't know what happened. Thank you!
