Adding album art

In the first version of WIndows Media Player on XP, we were able to add album art on the song that we prefer. Right now the latest version of Media player on Windows 7 we don't does not add to that or could be I've still not found.

We still have the choice to do it on the latest version?
Kind regards

    Windows media player-added album art

I can't manually add album art. In the Player library when I right click on the album art box there is no copy paste options available. When I right click on the file, click Open file location, in the folder, right-click the file, click Properties of the read-only checkbox is not checked, but is blue gradient. I have the box, apply and leave I find that it makes no difference. Still no copy and paste. When I go through the procedure once again I find that reading only one box is again downgraded blue.   When I ran the troubleshooting in the windows media player settings it tells me "the configurations settings might be wrong.  When I ran it in windows media player library iget the message 'media library is corrupted.  Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Yes, PASTE Album Art - but! Now it's working. I don't know what changed, but Woking fine now. I tried different albums, but nothing worked. Now everything works.

Thank you for taking the time and for all the suggestions. I'll save all the notes in case it happens again.

Thank you again once, I learned a lot.

  • Album Art ceased to show Album mode only

I discussed the digitization project of my collection of discs, tapes and music CD after learning how to acquire and preserve the sound I've been adding Album art. I was told that it was possible to get pictures on the Internet. Fake! 99.9% failure rate. I found a decent picture of hundreds of attempts. It seems that the identification code that is on each disk or tape is completely ignored, why?

Not intimidated, I put my camera, my own photos and have been successfully installing them until a few weeks ago, when occurred two things.

First Media player in Album mode ceased to display album art and simply lists all. Artist and Genre mode displays everything as usual.

Second, when I tried to install a photo, I received a message saying that the album art could not be applied when the file has been used by another program, but I can't know what the "other program" is. I stopped and restarted my computer, checked my Clipboard Editor is ready with something appropriate to album art, started Media Player, said the file that requires the album art and again to get the message that the file is in use by another program.

The only thing that's happened before this condition manifests itself, as far as I know, is a major upgrade to Windows 7.

    What should I do next?

  • My album art does not charge even after it has been added by get info > add work then press OK

SO I recently did the music on my computer, and I wanted to add to my phone. After you download the tracks to itunes, I tried to add album art, I did. To be honest, it does not work. Here's what I do: Get Info > add an illustration. At this point, I see my art, and when I click it, it changes to be enclosed by a blue square free of deceit. Of course, I click on it so that it appears highlighted, as such, but when I click OK, nothing happens. ITunes is seem to be in the process of loading, but then the three notes "do - do" there, and nothing has changed.

For reference, the work is a compressed JPEG size 1625 squared.

What is happening with my itunes? Is this a known bug?

What is the format of the tracks?  If they are. WAV files, you can't combine work with them.  Otherwise, the issue may be that the files are read-only, or that the Windows permissions prevent the updated files to integrate the image.

  • Cannot manually add album art

I just got a new computer and installed the latest version of iTunes for Windows. I added my music library without any problems and was pleased to see that album art has been updated automatically but on the few remaining albums who had not added automatically work I am unable to do it manually (click with the right button on album > info > work). Art seems to have been added but when I hit "ok" and return to iTunes there is no change, it still shows the grey double quaver.

I've done several times before and had no problems.

    Thank you

    Alex

When you reopen the 'get info' window is always show the work?

  • The title of the album Art not centered

I added to my TV series of album art in iTunes, but the work is the size of a (rectangular compared to the square) DVD cover and iTunes don't center-align the text of the title of TV Show in the middle of the work. A way to solve this problem?

behavior of iTunes with rectangular drawing (portrait) changed several releases ago centered to left-aligned.  The only way to solve this problem is to use an image editor suitable to make the place of the image: cropping the image or the aspect ratio or adding spaces to the left and to the right.

  • Album art will not turn off

Selected to turn it off, but it always has. Any ideas? Thank you.

    MIRAX

Turn off album art affects the background only.  During music playback, if there isn't available, either as a jpg file added art, or if it is incorporated in the tag ID3 metadata, the art is displayed.

This function is used in the Fuze +, with its much larger screen.  On the rocket +, you can see a mosaic tiles from bottom of your individual pouches, or a simple background printing.

  • (another) album art probem

Hi I'm new here and I'm sorry if this question was asked millions of times but I'm not looking and cannot always solve my problem

the question is, I have connected my Fuze in MTP mode, used Media Monkey and WMP11 for importing files, but sometimes arts album show up, sometimes, they don't. Each file has built-in pouch and each folder a folder.jpg album or Album Art.jpg and inside .alb file. All images are 120 x 120 and less than 50 KB.

Please help me, I'm tired of delete and synchronize everything again and again

    Thank you for reading

    1. Make sure all your tags are ID3v2.3 ISO-88559-1 (No UTF). The combo (ID3v1, ID3v2.3) tag is OK, but you don't want some that are v1 & some that are the v2.3. Media Monkey can be allright, but a dedicated like MP3TAG tagging program is specifically designed to do one thing; and do it correctly. Tag music files. And it's free.
    2. I would be suspicious to use Photoshop to 'Edit' or change album art images. It can record the result in a format (although it may still be .jpg) that the "rocket" has a reading problem (there are different versions of the .jpg format). There should be no need to modify or to try to improve these tiny images anyway. Whatever changes you make to an image is probably is not going to be visible in his poster the size on the screen of the rocket. The maximum size of any image of album art should be only around 200 x 200 (or even less). Something more great as it is will only be reduced to the displayed size, compaction (or compression) the image still further, which leads to less distinction and clarity (the opposite of what you want). Also if the image is too large, the "rocket" will not even appear at all. It's all just too big to handle.
    3. Choose a name for your art files and stick to it. I have all mine as 'album art.jpg. I have several players of e200 series and they all work for me. Then the "rocket" is out, and everyone now says the album art has to be labelled "folder.jpg". Is there a difference, and the "rocket" have a preference? I have no idea. I'm certainly not going through several hundred albums and add another file 'folder.jpg' for each album folder! I recently got a rocket did not have honestly a lot of time playing with it at the moment. I put some files on it and it seemed to view the files 'album art.jpg' very well. They can both work, but I wouldn't have a combination of both. I their name to one or the other and stick with it.
    4. Also I wouldn't "cover your bet" by having the two embedded album art and separate 'album art.jpg' file in each folder from the album. This could be the cause of confusion in the brain wee of the rocket, "only one I watch, this one or that? (unintentional ryhmes) Once again, one or the other. There is no need for both. Supposedly, with the latest version of Firmware, embedded album art support has been added for MP3 files, but in the last days, I read that this cannot be fixed 100% yet. So if you already have a file 'Add' art for all your records album in any case, you can remove the "embedded" art in the ID3tag. It's also something MP3TAG can do fo you.

EDIT: I just took a look at the songs of the sample that came pre-installed on my Fuze. He has a record ALBUMS. The e200 series players this is different. This isn't the ALBUM folder I was alluding to in the discussion where the 'album art.jpg' file should be located. It is in the MUSIC/ARTIST/ALBUM folder alongside the music files themselves.

This new ALBUMS folder is in the root directory alongside the MUSIC, PHOTO, VIDEO, & SERVICE records. This is a "hidden" file and it contains files .alb of all music that is loaded on the player.

I also grew these music pre-installed in MP3TAG files. All were indeed the tag (ID3v1, ID3v2.3) combo and each of them had "built-in" album art

  • Album art hard on several albums of help please

I tried and tried and tried with a few albums to get album art appears, but I can't.

Here's what I do.  I use mp3 tag to clean my tags.  Then I add album art by adding art manually or using mp3tag.  Then I extracted the album art to the folder in a file called folder.jpg.  He has worked with nearly 97 percent of all my mp3s.  I have a music that won't show art on the "rocket".   But, when I go in mp3tag, art shows, also, I navigate through the folders where the album is at and there is a file called folder.jpg and I see him and it shows the art very much in an image browser.

Nothing is done, I can not get these a few albums to show.  I remove album art, do it again.  Remove the folder.jpg, then extract the cover and save it to folder.jpg.  Still nothing.

I know I've seen people ask this kind of thing before, and I followed every piece of advice or guidance on this so far, but still nothing.

Any other ideas, I may be missing?

    I really appreciate help.

    Thanks in advance! = )

Well, after some research, I think I found the problem.  I compared the images I used in other albums that where showing properly and that where not.  What I discovered was the CIO on the images not showing where superior, for example they were 300 dpi and the other pictures where showing was 97 dpi.

After some googling, I downloaded ifranview and resize/re-sampled files to change the dpi to 97.  Then I went in mp3tag and removed the artwork on these files.  I added the art using the folder.jpg I edited to 97 dpi.  Copied to the "rocket", brought to the top and wholla, I have of album art.

Tapeworm thanks for pointing me out by looking at the actual image files.

Hope this can help some of the problems.

  • album art with size restrictions?

Hello. Being new to the "rocket" I wonder if there is a size restriction concerning the album art files?

I copied many of my audio files directly to the "rocket". View the album art included as folder.jpg in the respective album folder. That has worked well.

Now, I have a few more added albums today (.) The OGG files) with the files of art with sizes of some 200 kb which do not show...

    any advice? Thank you

There is a limit to the size of album art and photos.  It has not documented how this size, so I don't think that someone has found the exact limit.  It is also not clear if this is a file size limit of resolution (or both).

200 KB sounds like extremely large album art.  I found that the "rocket" is a mediocre (and slow) work resizing photos/art.  You will get a much better quality and more vivid in the UI performance if you resize the album art on the drive to 120 x 120 (the size of the art is displayed full-screen coverage).  In addition, you can save space on the drive as well.

  • Album Art on th Fuze

Recently, I had WMP11 and added all my album art and all of my fixed tags. Then, I deleted all my music on my device (removed the MUSIC folder) and it synced via WMP11. It all converted to the format of *.wma, *.mp3 even files. NO album appears to all but the album art that was already out there. How can I get my album art there? It's all in WMP11. Help, please!

Set up the device in MTP (or Auto) mode for WMP sync unit art.

Media Monkey can handle this in MSC mode, you need a copy of one art as 'album art.jpg' or "folder.jpg" in each folder albums if you are using MSC mode.

  • album art is displayed

the album art for mp3 files are is not displayed in the Solution Explorer, thumbnail display... it will display, but a few weeks back, I changed a few settings that stopped the album art of projection, I think that

I have a MyTouch 4 G and I wanted to sync with my Windows Media Player library (I'm using Windows Vista). Then I added all my albums and their added work in my library. Once the synchronization is complete, I unplugged my phone. All the songs were there, but the work was not. D: but the names of the artists and albums are there. What I am doing wrong?

I'd appreciate any help on this! (:

    Hello

Try these steps and check if the problem persists,

    1. click on "Start" then "all programs", then "Windows Media Player."

    2. right click on the album you want to add a picture to, and then click "find album info". Wait a few minutes while Windows Media Player connects to the Internet and download album art for your songs.

    3. connect your myTouch to your computer with the USB cord. The next time that you sync music, the album art will be transferred as well

If this is the same procedure that you followed, then I suggest you to post your query in the Forums from HTC.

original title: collage of album art

Hello everyone, I have a question... In the past I have copied and pasted album art to my music (MP3) have ripped off a disk files. Is it possible to remove the art that I added and to restore the original empty file?

    Hello

    Method 1:

Album art should appear in the view "is on the air." However, if you select the album of the artist, the album art is not displayed.

In the upper right corner there is Options to view fall down. Change the details to tiles view expanded and the cover of the album should reappear.

If this does not help, then go to the center of the Action. Click on troubleshooting.

Click Show all on the left side, and then select Windows Media Player troubleshooting
    Options.

Refer to this link and check if it helps:

    Method 2:

Try to clear the database of Windows Media Player. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.
    b. Click Start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.
    c. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.

Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    d. restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.
    b. Click Start, click Run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.
    c. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
    d. restart Windows Media Player.
