• Best way to make the simulation software

  Hey guys, it takes me faaaaar too long to create my first simulation software and I was wondering if I could get some advice? I came to Captivate because I was using Screenflow, then AE initially to edit my subtitles/audio/intros and video files caused problems with preview/render. I basically want to captivate screenshots railways and the mouse to keep the file size down, so I can easily work on some post production in flash. But... If I export for flash to captivate, click on the mouse and the trajectories are not registered. If I have to 'release' of captivate and import the swf file into flash, it blocks Flash, even with the smallest clip. I've updated to the last version captivate but the same problems. What is the normal way to record and edit a screencast with captivate? Does anyone know why it is not export all data to Flash? Do I have TO use Captivate for post production and then export to the web?  Any information appreciated, thanks guys

  Why do you want to export the Captivate file to Flash? I don't get that at all. Captivate is the best tool to produce a SWF file which is a software simulation (interactive, demo or evaluation), made tons of those of the IMO. But never used Flash for that at all, Captivate takes care of everything.

  Moreover, I think that you posted something similar in another thread, please who is not considered a good practice.

• The animation slides ignore content in flash published

  I may be new to Captivate, but have worked with all his predecessors...
  My simple demonstration consists of 6 slides:
  a text slide;
  a slide of animation built from an AVI (123 sec);
  a text slide;
  a slide of animation built from an AVI (23 sec).

  When the preview of all content is indicated. Then I publish (HTML export). The flash seen ignores the end of all the slides in the animation: from the beginning that 107 seconds are displayed, from the second 10 seconds, are displayed in the third only 110 seconds.

  I have now found the source of my problem:

  There is a difference if I insert via
  (1) insert > slide > animation Slide - or
  (2) insert > Slide white; and then in the blank slide: Insert > Animation

  Case 2, I get the "New Animation" dialog box where I can configure options. In case 1, that this dialog box does not display upward and with properties to slide the desired option not adjustable.

  The help text for this option "select this option to synchronize the speed at which the animation file plays with the speed of timeline.   So: If the final flash file ignores the end of imported animations (e.g. avi) and early moves to the next slide:

  -Import the animation in a blank slide (do not import via Insert > Slide > animated slides)
  -Set the option "Synchronize with the project" in the dialog box "new Animation.

• Cannot change the length of the slide in simulation software

  I use 7 Captivate for the first time. I had a version much older, but rarely used.

  I recorded a simple software simulation which should be a piece of cake, to edit and produce, but do you have a problem I do not know how to solve. Simulation includes a component screen is clicked, then slipped and fell into a new location. I can't change the length of the slide that shows the movement of drag - move. It has a length of 6.5 seconds, which is painfully and excessively slow and there is no way I can find to shorten.

  I can't drag the end of the slide on the timeline, right click did not produce anything that is promising in the pop-up menus and the Properties Panel has a field of time, but when I select the 6.5 seconds and change, it is just 6.5 seconds immediately after.

  I remember this kind of thing being very simple in previous versions of Captivate. No more, I guess...

  Could check you this slide, has created a video demonstration for this slide, because default recording demo Captivate 7 creates the video demo for drag-and - drop and mouse wheel actions.

• Long time loading at the average price of simulation software (video slideshow)

  I'm working on a project of e-learning for my business, and the project includes a series of slides "software simulation", where I captured some action (filling out me and submitting a form). While most of the blades is regular blades where the cursor and the text are re-created as an object, there are a few slides that are treated as video slide show. These video slides cause a long wait times and a "loading" message is displayed for about 10 seconds before you continue the presentation (and jump a bit to catch up). It is very distracting and breaks the concentration.

  Video slide show is mainly the parts where I scroll down, or selected a menu item drop-down. After some research, I found that the files are stored in the form of .swf files in my AppData folder. My project is a project of HTML5, I wonder if .swf videos are the question?

  Basically, I want to know if there is a way to eliminate the problem of long load in the middle of the simulation. We organize training on a Web site.

  For the HTML output when I can't avoid a slide video, I will replace the FMR slides (old) with CPVC-slides (video demo). However, this means stop capture, that create the cpvc-slide, then past with the workflow of capture.

  Hello. I have the problem that, in a single class if I join the code its not reflecting only not in a simulator, I cleaned the Simulator and the project and even restarted eclipes but I am facing the same problem... CAN SOMEONE HELP ME.

  I suppose that would do the necessary cleaning. try resetting the Simulator (under File--> Reset)

• IDE cannot find the Simulator

  First off, the IDE can find my Playbook very well, but he can't find the Simulator. I tried different combinations to start the Simulator and the IDE (in order) but also to restart my computer.

Now, I was able to get the blackberry - deploy to install the application from the command line with success in the Simulator. • Event Swipe works in the Simulator, but not on the device

  It works perfectly in the Simulator, but on the device, there is no movement at all. So I thought that maybe the touchpad on the Simulator is more sensitive than on the real device, so I added a menu item to perform the injection above. Again, this works perfectly on the Simulator, but nothing on the device.

  Has anyone tried this brain left and just before the injection?  Up and down the injection works perfectly on the device.

  Have you enabled event injection in request permission settings for your application?  It is disabled by default.  You can do so by going to Options-> Application, select your application and click on change permissions.  You can also request these permissions programmatically using the class ApplicationPermission.

• Captivate simulation software integrated into a page

  I want to incorporate a software simulation in a normal page, so that I can work with buttons on this page. I want to swap from one page to another and do not have to use the videotape of captivate, which is complicated for our purposes.

  You are probably new Captivate? I think you are talking about a simulation of classical software which will lead to static slides (sometimes a blade full recording of moving images), one for each step of the simulation. It's the best way to create/edit a software simulation, at least if you want an interactive tutorial? Or if you want only one video (demo)?  I don't think, because you're talking about buttons.

  Okay, you can create a software simulation on a slide, but it means a lot more work and unnecessary complications. Everything will be in fact using variables, shared/advanced actions and/or JavaScript. I don't think that's going to be less complicated at all. Several years of Captivate 'history' prove that its approach is simplest for each new user. BTW: Captivate has a strip of film, where you see all the slides.  Each slide has its individual, similar to a video scenario.

  I have Toshiba Recovery DVD for Windows XP of origin. But after the installation in backup softare avialble in system tools.
  I tried to install it from adding a program into the Panel control or extarct from the DVD. Also, I tried to download it from the Microsoft Web site, but there is no chance.

  I m the Satellite P500 owner too and it's really great machine, isn t it? I like it. My Toshiba best ever.
  My machine is preinstalled original Toshiba recovery image and it works without any problems so I put t want to change anything.

  Back to your question. I assume that you have a few reasons why you want to use the Ultimate version then you should try to clean OS install. Before you anything create recovery DVDs. Make two copies.
  After that make what you can do with your laptop all you used to because if you want to have the factory settings, again you can use created the recovery disc and install original recovery image.
  After recovery of registered OS image will help and you will not be able to start the installation of HARD drive recovery then please create restore DVD.

  Installing Win7? I have the European model, and I will send exact installation order list. There may be small differences compared to the model of the AU, but the principle remains the same.

  JRPT, welcome to the forum.

  Here are the specifications of the computer.  In the 'Software' section, it lists all the programs supplied with the computer.  It also shows the programs that you can restore from the recovery disks.  However, this means using the original operating system.  Once switch you to Win7, many value-added programs are not available.

  Steps to recreate:

  1. start multisim.

  2. open a very basic circuit that includes a battery 10V with the ground, a lamp, a voltmeter between the lamp and an ammeter in series.

  3. use 'switch' at the top right of the appliation multisim window to run the simulation.

  4 lamp shows a 'enlightenment' and voltmeter indicates 10V and ammeter indicates .1a circuit.

  5. use the switch to stop the simulation.

  6. no change in the circuit or lighting of the lamp measures.

  7. same results if the simulation starts the arrow and the red square are used to start and stop.

  If I close it and reopen it circuit, the circuit begins in the OFF state, but will not OFF If when you select stop simulation.

  This is the case with several circuits, those provided by the College and the other that I created based on the same design.

  Multisim restarting has no effect to correct this observation.

  It doesn't seem normal that when the simulation running, values or apparent lamp lighting does not change.  The simulation doesn't have to go back to the start state (OFF) when I stop the simulation?

  Hi zanzarista,

  Multisim retains the values for everything in the circuit when the simulation is stopped. Which means that you are able to view the values on your instruments (such as multimeters) even after the termination of the simulation. When you start a simulation once again, starts all over again and that's why you see a 0 momentarily.

  It is the way in which the software is intended to work.
