Hello:

The number of product you posted decodes your model for a Compaq Presario V2625TS Notebook PC.

Product support page is less to...

The service manual link is below...

Yes, you can install 2 x 1 GB PC2-5300 memory in this PC according to Chapter 1, page 1-2.

I agree with the 2 x 1 GB part but I disagree with the type of memory that they reference SDRAM 533 MHz.

There is no such animal.  All memory clocked at 533 MHz. DDR2 In addition, none of the processors that came with the PC can run at 667 MHz, which means that you can install memory PC2-5300, which runs at the full 667 Mhz

You can confirm my opinion by running the tool to free memory critical analysis at the link below.

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba a100-250.
In addition to the 512 MB ram module, I bought a 1 024 MB module to boost it up a little bit. They are running and DDR2 at 533 mhz. Now the problem is that my computer laptop doesn´t recognizes the two modules.

I was just curious and exchanging modules and put them separately or together in different locations, but it doesn´t find 1 024 MB module if both are put in place or module 512 if I do not put one inside.
I updated my bios 2.10 BU he doesn´t solve the problem. Can please help me because now I have a 512 MB module which is useless.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Are you sure you bought a 1 024 MB module at 100%?
Because it sounds like the new module of memory has only 512 MB.

I want to improve my knees to 8 GB mem.
There are two locations for modules of memory on the MB.
On the Toshiba site its written that a module can be improved.

    Memory modules are 1,2,4,8,16...
How you can reach up to 8 GB of Ram when only a single slot can be improved.

Reminder: the system comes with 3 GB of RAM:

    System memory
    3 072 (2 048 + 1 024) MB | maximum extension: 8 192 MB | technology: DDR2 RAM (800 MHz)

    Thank you & best regards

    Hello

First of all, there are 2 memory slots that are extensible.
Secondly if your chipset would support the 8 GB of RAM then you use modules of 2 x 4 GB of RAM for the 8 GB of RAM.

In addition the 8 GB of RAM can be recognized by the 64 bit OS.
The 32-bit Vista will not recognize the 8 GB of RAM but only 3.2 GB due to the limitation of the 32 bit OS!

    Hello

I agree with Akuma L20 supports a SATA controller and you need and 2.5 SATA HDD.
Usually it s no matter which manufacturer is all 2.5 SATA hard drives must be compatible

With regard to the 48-bit LBA:
As far as I know that this could be just a problem with HDD IDE (P - ATA). SATA HDD should not be affected. So, theoretically, you could upgrade the HARD disk using larger than 128 GB.

    Regarding the upgrade of memory:
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=20683&ft=m&St=3

    You need DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200 - PIN SODIMM and you can use 2 x 1 GB RAM

Hi, first of all, I don't absolutely know nothing about the inside of a laptop.
I get conflicting advice from resellers of memory. Some say I can spend current 512 MB
    (2x256mb configuration at present) to 768 MB (512 MB + 256 MB), a configuration 2 x 512 MB and another person even provides 2 x 1024 mb works perfectly.
Would like to know of a satellite of colleagues tosh owner just what is the max memory sure I can adapt.

Also is it possible to upgrade the 32 MB nvidia graphics factory in this laptop to something more powerful. Need a minimum of 64 MB to play the new Call of Duty 2. I know I shouldn't, but the toshiba is so reliable, that I hesitate to change back to a desktop pc with a graphics card than 256 preinstalled.

Would appreciate the help of this forum, as retailers of memory are only interested sales max, or so it seems.

    Hello

Well, as I know the unit has 2 slots of memory and the maximum memory size that is supported is 1024MB.
In this case, you can use 2x512MB
In addition, you must PC2100 DDR - RAM modules like these:

    PC2100 128 MB (PA3126U - 1 M 12)
    PC2100 256 MB (PA3127U - 1 M 25)
    PC2100 512 MB (PA3164U - 1 M 51)

On the graphics card: no, it of not possible to update the graphics card because of limited space and overheating problems.

  • HP Elitebook RAM running frequency values lower than possible hardware (factory setting)

As part of the upgrade of RAM (from 4 GB to 8 GB) on my HP Elitebook 8560W, I did several tests to find out what type of RAM to my PC a. I was surprised that my RAM (Samsung, PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM SO-DIMM) runs only on 666 MHz = 6.67 * 99.8 MHz (9-9-9-24 calendar, 1.50 V voltage).

However, the factory often supposed to be 1 333 MHz. RAM How can I set correct values of RAM clock 1 333 MHz?

More info: updating my BIOS: 68SVD worm. F.42; 07/15/2013 Motherboard: HP 1631 & Chipset: Intel QM67 (Cougar Point) (B3)

If you need additional information, feel free to ask me questions.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Since your stick of ram is a Double Data Rate (DDR3) as any other RAM sticks of today, its actual frequency still shows 2 times less.  What you see is correct.   In the past, SDRam yielded 1 data at each clock, with DDR ram, 2 the data are transferred to each clock (hz), so the performance is doubled = equivalent to twice the frequency.  Two-channel will accelerate the transfer of ram using two sticks at the same time, but you can still see 666 mhz cpu - z.

Been built several computers game, when I set the frequency in bios to the right pair, it always show 2 x less, don't worry!   PS.  I have 1600 mhz DDR3 sticks and show 801,3 mhz of CPU - z.

In ADDITION, if you upgrade your ram, so that they can operate in dual channel, be sure to buy a stick of the same size (4 GB), frequency (1333 mhz), calendar (9-9 - 9-24) and voltage (1.50 V).  Those who should be easy to find.  It is always better to buy Kit with two since they are tested to work exactly the same, there may be difference of manufacturing between brands and models, but it shouldn't matter much if these 4 parameters are the same.  If you buy a lower frequency stick, the other fits than slower.  If possible, buy one of the same brand to be absolubly that they match (Samsung M471B5273DH0-CH9)

The BIOS * could * be reflashed at a CV not a compatible with your motherboard, but there are a lot of risks for this purpose, up to an unusable computer (motherboard will need to be removed and would need a new BIOS chip, a reprogrammed chip probably welded or a new motherboard).  That's what tells the computer parts, how to work with each other.  Also, your computer will be out of warranty.  You don't need it to be since your ram is working as expected.

And if the answer is Yes, then the warranty service would free it will affect my warranty? In addition, should what kind of RAM I look for if I want to upgrade? Aries will be added to the existing RAM and it will replace it?

I'm sorry for so many questions, my English and my ignorance when it comes to upgrading a laptop. And is all what I should know about upgrading RAM as it might damage the data on my disk, etc. ?

    Notes:

I still have the warranty and the stamp is still there.

    Data sheet:

    • Intel Core i5-5200U 2.20 GHz
    • NVIDIA GeForce dedicated 820 m with 2 GB of VRAM
    • HARD DRIVE 500 GB
    • 4GB DDR3 Memory (RAM) L
    • Windows 10 Pro (i think)

I know not if Acer will modernize under warranty, you must remove the motherboard to increase the RAM, the installation of CPU - Z to find out the exact your RAM specifications, then buy with timing and characteristics and to update yourself, if you are not sure to dismantle get performed by a technician on site, you can find the cost of this upgrade for your support of Acer local as they can do for one, compare prices with the quote from your local technician.

You will lose all the data from your hard drive because of the upgrade of RAM but I tell reflect you to back up the entire system on an external hard drive using Macrium or similar utility.

This is to show you how to upgrade and what is at stake:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmsFDi_qsnQ

This is just one example to show how to find the upgrade for your laptop and you don't need to buy Crucial memory, any brand works as long as they match the same characteristics as your current RAM.

Hi all, I recently received a Dell Inspiron 7559. It came with a 8 GB Skhynix "hmt41gs6bfr8a-pb No 1506 aa" stick of RAM. I want to upgrade to 16 GB. I thought that I had bought the same model of 8 GB of RAM on ebay, but I have a 8 GB Skhynix "hmt41gs6bfr8a-pb na aa 1511. They are two completely different models because of their different nomenclature? Can I still use it to upgrade my ram? Thank you

    I get similar Inspiron 15 7559, and yes the RAM should work as long, it's a real play "DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800)" memories. "

If you're unsure, this specific memory of WindowCentral video I found on Youtube on the extra addition of 8 GB of RAM.

  • Upgrade memory on an all in a single LX830

I may upgrade the 4 GB provided to meet the requirements of the program. Additional memory needs to be installed in pairs? The existing 4 GB occupies a dwelling, can I mount 8 GB in another location or it will be incompatible?

Well, mainly upgrade memory depends on the support of the chipset/CPU.

Not quite sure what computer Toshiba LX830 do you have exactly but as far as I know the L830 all in one units would support up to 16 GB of RAM.

A property used by a 4 GB RAM module and housing is free.
This is why it must be able to use another additional module of 8 GB RAM.

But of course, another module of 8 GB RAM should be compatible with the current 4 GB of RAM.
Otherwise, you will get some compatibility issues

  • Satellite A60 and energy saving issues

    Hello

I am facing a problem that drives me crazy. After I formatted my laptop and install Windows XP, I'm never able to install Toshiba Power Saver or any kind of Toshiba Utilities. Setup turns on, but after that, it displays an error message (sometimes just sound no message) and it stops.

    To be more precise:

I use a Satellite A60-302, with extra addition of 256 MB of RAM. I formatted the C: partition and installed Windows XP Professional (I tried 3 different versions: right XP, XP with integrated SP1, XP with SP2 integrated; just to be sure if the problem was caused by service packs). Then I inserted the CD provided, put in place the ATI card, etc. its pilots respecting order but when it comes to saving energy, the nightmare starts.

I removed the RAM I added and tried the whole installation by the original Setup process, but no change... My hard drives are well checked for any kind of virus, and the installation process was done with the ethernet cable connected to offshore to prevent any possible intrusion.

Funny, I remember setting up Win XP Pro on this machine before 3 months no problem at all. The only significant change since that day is the update of the BIOS from 1.60 to 1.80.

Looks like a "common modules" error but it is not "common modules", on the CD or on the internet.

Finally, I must say that I can't use my recovery CD because it's Windows XP Home Edition in Turkish, but I use Windows XP Professional English provided by my employer.

Any help? I'll be delightened if someone could help me.

    Hi sunfury,.

I imagine you're nettled. But there must be a solution to your problem.

You are right. There is no common Modules for this machine. Usually the common Modules, all Toshiba tools depend on. It is the main module.

In your case, it is very important to use a specific order of installation. Normally, you must use the order of Installation set by Toshiba. You can find it on
    http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/satellite/SA60/win-XP/install_xp_na_en.zip.

But there is also another solution. I usually install on this path:
    -OS
    -chipset + display driver
    -audio driver
    -fix for... (all)
-one other drivers (modem, LAN etc..)

When you want to install the tools of Toshiba try in this order:
    -Power Sawer
    -Init GST
    -TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility
    -TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility for display
    -Other utilities
    -TOSHIBA Console

If you want to install SP2, maybe it will be better to do it later. It is also possible that some of the tools after installation of SP2 will not function properly.
    http://support.toshiba-tro.de/Tools/updates/Windows-XP-SP2/mwxpsp2ui-XP-11.zip

If you still have problems made me know.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite Pro L450D No. bootening

Satellite Pro L450D running win 7, works very well Saturday night, close properly, go into start, Sunday morning, no chance.

It gets so far into the boot, display win7 logo animated, then quickly flashes a blue screen (too quick to see) then goes back to start again, tried to repair, using the disc for win 7, gets so far and goes black screen with cursor... Tried a new installation, you can load files and then comes back to the black screen.

No ideas, nothing what-so-ever in hardware or software. Bet that this will be expensive.

    To appreciate a few pointers

    Hello

Looks like hardware problem, but it of difficult to say what role could be assigned exactly.
I think you should first check the HARD disk.
Download the tool called Drive Fitness Test and run tests of HARD drive.
In addition, you should check the RAM modules.
You can remove a memory module and could test the notebook with a single module.

I think that's all what you can do to still hardware diagnostic test the Toshiba ASP should be contacted.
Guys could test the laptop using some software and diagnostic tools and could tell exactly what s wrong here

    Hello

A few months ago I bought the Satellite A660-10 x. On installed original system it freezes once (I used laptop maybe an hour) but I thought it was an accident, or maybe something was misconfigured. Then I installed the clear disk from Microsoft (Windows 7 Home Premium) system and install only the necessary drivers, but the problem from happening again. At first I thought as this only, when I don't click or move the mouse for over 1 minute, but that for now the problem appears also when I click or write something.
