Addition of autofocus and the depth to the measuring Microscope

This is my first post and I consider myself a newbie with LabView, but I hope I can get some answers.  Here it goes.

I have a measuring microscope with X & Y steps thanks to the drive motors.  The Assembly of camera and the objective of the CCD is mounted on a stage with the focus (Z-stage) and the magnification phase driven by step motors.

My goals are:

-Add automatic update functionality to my existing VI, such as the image will focus on a selected area of the user of interest (ROI).

-Calculate the depth between two duties of the party appearing in separate Kings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My first tip: only post your question once.  Repeated messages are annoying...

The first step is to select a method of measuring of the development.  Over the years, several methods have been posted on this forum (search the Forum!).  My favorite is to find edges, then use to quantify for the standard deviation.  It is an indicator of development fast and accurate, and it will work pretty well on the Kings as long as they are not too small.

The second step is to develop an algorithm to know where is your best focus position.  The simplest method is to take pictures in a series of positions of Z, then measure the emphasis in each of them.  Generally, measures will behave as a parable, where the best development is at the top of the parabola.  If you do not have a top, you have not yet reached the position of development.  Once you know about the location the position of focus, you can move in small steps until you get a specific value.  Depending on your application, there may be other algorithms that could get there faster.

Once you have focused on the first object, save your position of Z.  Focus on the second object and note the difference in the positions of Z.  It's your difference of depth between the two objects.

    I had problems with my titles not appearing is not on my pages of CF. Finally, I looked at the source of the page in the browser and found that CF is the extra insertion < html >, < head > and < body > tags at the beginning of the pages. (see examples below). I'm sure it's the CF engine that did this because I took a cfm page and just change the extension of html and everything worked fine (except the CF code). There is no additional tag inserted and the titles appear. I also noticed that the CF engine seems to be adding the first line <! DOCTYPE HTML... >

    Take a look at your file Application.cfm or Application.cfc, you have probably the code in there (Application.cfc/cfm works first on each page request)

    I wrote the following VI which opens each image file in a folder and measure a certain size on the image. He then puts the result in a table.

    The table has a column and N lines since I N images in my folder. How can I change this VI so that it puts the name of the file in the same table as well as the measurement?

    I want the table to look like:

    File1 measurement1

    File2 GCA2

    ...

    and so on.

    Currently, it just shows

    measurement1

    GCA2

    ....

    and so on.

    You cannot use the Table Express. Like the properties page says: this is for digital data. You will need to use a bit of real LabVIEW to create the table. A table is simply a string 2D array. Convert the digital chain, build an array of 1 d of the filename and numberic strings and use a shift register to build a 2D array. Something like the code below.

    I have two Windows 2003 Enterprise SP2 VM that each have two NICs configured to connect to different networks. When I add additional hard disks (RDM) connected to a new SCSI controller and restart the virtual network adapters one existing machine disappears (it becomes a ghost card) and a new network card with the default config is displayed in its place.

    The result is that I have to go through the process of removing the ghost network card and reconfigure the new card with the correct network settings and connect to the correct port group.

    Anyone know why this is or how to avoid it?

  • WiX and the MStudioDAQmx.2012 merge module

    I use Visual Studio 2012 + OR-DAQmx 9.7.5 (and tried 9.7.0 before that) and create an installation program that includes the required merge modules MStudioDAQmx.2012.msm, MStudioCommon.2012.msm dependence (and Visual Studio C++ runtime) using WiX.

    My problem is that the files contained in MStudioCommon.2012.msm seem to be installed in the GAC, where they belong, but the two files contained in MStudioDAQmx.2012.msm are copied to a folder "Module Retargetable Folder" in the installation directory - and that's where that in my humble OPINION, they do not part. The difference between MStudioCommon.2012.msm and MStudioDAQmx.2012.msm is that, although both contain a custom action that rewrote the MergeRedirectFolder in a GAC folder,

    I had a look at the example of "Deployment" in the evaluation version of measurement Studio 2013.

    (1.) the MStudioCommon merge module * appears to be identical to the NOR-DAQmx and the Measurement Studio 2013. The example of "Deployment" of the Measurement Studio also works in the case of the merge module NI_DAQmx MStudioCommon *.

    (2.) the following fragment sets the merge module MStudioDAQmx * in the installation directory. I'm not 100% sure if the two additional ConfigurationData lines are needed or not. It works, and I didn't want to delete the two lines. Feel free to try.

  • Windows will not update the screen resolution and the color depth

    Out of the blue today, my Windows XP installation had its color depth and screen resolution back to the lowest setting and whenever I try to update it refuses to put up-to-date.

    I even try to restart my computer and a bubble appears downstairs offering reset the color depth and resolution to my automatically.  When I click, it appears as if he's trying to return to normal, but again once nothing happens - the colors and the screen resolution is still at the lowest setting.

    Can any ideas on how I fix?

    You can also right-click on an empty desktop > properties > settings > it the slider bar allows you to increase the resolution > Apply > OK > agree in the next window, etc.

    If that fixed it, have damaged you graphic drivers.

    The question may be how the new hard drive has been formatted.  Take a look at the way in which the reader is implemented by clicking Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > double-click on computer management > double-click storage.  Is all the space on the disk are responsible?  If so, take a look at these two documents for your problem:

    Format a hard drive or partition to NTFS format

    My wife has a new laptop Lenovo with windows 7 and we tried to change the keyboard to add Korean, and we cannot.  On prvious Windows on the older PC operating system, it has allowed this and all we had to do was to toggle between the two.  My wife is Korean and wants to send emails in Korean to family and friends here and in Korea.  Was able to do so until the new laptop.

    I'm having a hard time getting Greek and Hebrew and Latin spelling, even if I checked to make them work, they do not.  I have Vista Premium on my Toshiba PC.
