• Backup of the address book problem

  I have been using Apple AddressBook since its launch. I recently started having problems with good backup. Normally, I backup every day, and it's really quick like less than a minute. The last few weeks it takes "forever" at the end of backup. I can do other things while AB is the support up and finish that takes me an hour or more and it is not always done. I tried a few times to just stop smoking it and then there is '0' for the size of the file or it ends really huge. If I let it go until it ends it is 'normal size' as it used to be when it took less than a minute for the backup. Any ideas?

  (2) I have synced my BB to Outlook 2007 on my pc to print a paper copy of my contacts list.  Synchronization worked fine but only gave me contacts with their name and e-mail address.  Contacts on my BB without addresses email has not appeared on the list and details, addresses, dates of birth, and especially the phone numbers for contacts appear.  Is it possible to get ALL the details contact on a paper copy?  Thank you.

  The folks at Telus is unable to help because they apparently don't know produced pretty well BB.  I won't pay BB technical to tell me how to use their product, but I could take the service providers advise buying an iPhone.  Someone can offer some advise to solve these two seemingly simple questions

  Please check your Smart Dialing settings... maybe they are active, which could make the '1' in your point of unnecessary Contact.

  Interesting... it must synchronize all... hmmm... Well, if your only interest is a paper copy, then an export might be too simple. The Desktop software can export to a CSV file, which you could then return to Excel and do what you please. Unfortunately, the export feature has been removed in more recent versions of Desktop software (don't ask... it's a HUGE bru-ha-ha!), and you must use an older version (6.x or lower, I recall) to do:

  Press Alt + V and select Toolbars from the menu that appears.
  Make sure that the first four items are checked.

  Hello: Unfortunately, my laptop crashed shortly after download and install Windows Update 1511, luckily I have a backup of NAS of the entire computer.

  I tried several methods to replace the original files of abook.wab & history.wab empty backup. The history.wab transfers showing collected addresses, but not my personal abook.wab address book file.

  I'm assuming that the procedures, I tried Thunderbird forums are for the transfer of the abook.wab are to transfer from one direct to another.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Missing address book problem SOLVED!

  What I did:
  1 uninstalled Thunderbird
  2 remove the entire Thunderbird folder in the folder AppData from my PC
  3 made a clean files and registry CCleaner, PC rebooted and defragmented hard drive.
  4 recovered the entire Thunderbird folder from my NAS backup to my PC AppData folder
  5. re-installed Thunderbird, with my POP3 email addresses and the main address book presents
  6 remove all my POP3 e-mail accounts
  7 re-created all my accounts POP3 e-mail, such as IMAP accounts

  Windows 10; have new computer and was able to successfully export all of my old emails, but for some reason that my address book are not displayed. Checked my profile and it shows all of my... .mab files but when I click "Address book" in you bird, there is nothing there. Have you tried exporting/import profile but same problem occurs. Thoughts?

  Never mind... solved myself! Thanks anyway... (and BTW, I didn't just "carry on my mail"...) I actually copied my complete profile... have done it before, so I'm not a newbie... it was just a glitch in the newcomputer I solved.)

  For address books, generally you are looking for a way to export to a file that Thunderbird can import. Yahoo and all offer two gmx export to CSV files.

  I've never used Incredimail. You should probably ask on export on the forums for Incredimail users.

  I tried to search the frequently asked questions and did a search first. It did not work, what I found F9 turns the initial contacts on and outside, but does not solve the problem with the component being wrong.

  Until a very recent update (last week or two at the most) when I type writing, the contacts pane in the window of writing have shown my address book. Now it shows some kind of research, that I can't use because I have to see all the entries to see which ones I want to send an email. In some cases, I have multiple entries for a person based on their having several email for different types of e-mail addresses. Try to remember those who want DOESN'T WORK for me. I can't get this behavior in safe mode.   It was very strange. Now things work properly and I don't know why. I want to thank everyone for their help. The image shows the first letter of the contact you want on screen messages write with the address list. Before it wasn't to show a list of addresses, just search options to search for address books.   E-mail is synchronized automatically if you use IMAP on all machines.

  Address book synchronization can be achieved by synchronizing to a "service of address book based on the net. I use Google Contacts and the add-on gContactSync in Thunderbird.

  You have not asked about the calendar, but you can also synchronize the lightning calendar in Thunderbird for a service like Google Calendar.

  I am able to share email address books and my calendar between Thunderbird (under LInux and Windows 7) and also on Android based tablets and phones.
