address & search bar does not

When I open Firefox 10.0.2 and try to enter a URL in the address bar it seems that the address bar does not: I do not see the characters I typed. The same goes for the search bar. This does not have the 'closing', 'restore down', 'minimize' and orange buttons "firefox".

What I did uninstall Firefox and reinstall it. I don't have much saved or who are related to him so it didn't matter to me. What I noticed after reinstalling, it is that the problem remained.

When I close and Open firefox in safe mode, it seems that the address and search bar are working properly.

How can I get Firefox works correctly in "normal"?

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

Problem with the location bar not working do not can be caused by the AVG Safe Search extension

If this does not work in mode without failure, then disable all extensions and then try to find out who is the cause by allowing both the problem reappears.

  • Choose "Disable all add-ons" on issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode to set window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')

I can't change the search engine of google for other engines by default, but they are looking for either. This has happened

    Each time Firefox opened

    Is two weeks.

I had this same problem. Couldn't Google to search in weeks bar. Drove me crazy.

Does what you has proposed and made a new profile, but simply copied to a file or folder at a time in the new profile in the Finder and started the profile to test to see if it worked or not for Google.

It came down to formhistory.sqlite. The second I put that in Trial, the Google bar stopped working. Found out it just saves your form history and past Google searches, so I'm ok with starting over on that. I'll just have to enter my address one more time on the next form I fill out.

I tried just compensation history form and search in Firefox, but that does not solve, so I went ahead and made another new profile and replaced the formhistory.sqlite from this profile file my trial period. It worked, then I did the same thing with 'default '.

    Problem. Solved.
