ADF BC - difference between the number and the Types of attributes DBSequence

Hi all

The ADF tutorials and examples, when you define an entity object, I understand that we could make use of the type of the DBSequence attribute and a trigger of DB to set a unique ID column on a table in the INSERT.
For the same primary key attribute, I tried to use the Number data type. Now, with the DB of active trigger, I was able to achieve the same result as before. Additional configurations, I had to make sure that when using the data type numbers will allow "Refresh after insert", define Updatable when new and define a default value (I put this as - 1).

My question is what is the difference between using a number and DBSequence of the types of data for a field? Is that just a data type DBSequence avoids the manual installation of the above properties?

Thank you

Hello

With your approach, you tried to create several lines and then engaging them? Seems that your solution works for as long as there is only one line, you create both

    Hallo,

that is the difference between choosing as a Type of Document "Facelets" and choosing "JSP XML" when you create a new page?

Which is the best choiche and why? And is it possible to convert a page from one type to another?

    Thank you

    Federico

    Hi Federico

JSPX both Faceletes are equal to the feature and after Jdev Release11gR2, both are supported in the ADF

Facelets is deemed be better performance because it is more tight integrated with life cycle JSf and does not need to be compiled before running

The future speaks Facelets (specification of JSF) and if start you a new project in development with JDeveloper 11 g R2 then we recommend you use Facelets for this reason

  • Installation of Oracle DB 11 g 1 material: differences between the types of database.

    Hello everyone.

Today, I had to install a DB Oracle 11 GR 1 material.

I installed the Oracle DB on a few occasions in the past. I had installed type selected the ' general purpose / transactional processing "and everything works fine.

The DB will be used to store a small data warehouse, BI staff considers that they will store approximately 2 GB per month.

The DB installation will take place on a server running RHEL 5.7 x86_64.

Could you please tell me the top 10 or top 5 differences between type ' general goal / Transaction Processing "and the"Data Warehouse "?

Maintenance tasks are different to the type of the data warehouse? is the case, what are the maintenance more frequent tasks?

I just saw really big data warehouses, this database will be small compared to these warehouses... do I have to install Oracle DB using the model of 'Data Warehouse' or I can install it using the "general use / transactional treatment" model?

    Please give me your advice.

    Thanks in advance!

There is nothing fundamentally different.  In my view, that the selection at the time of installation simply defines some initialization parms differently, which can always be changed at any time, as the need arises.  There is Nothing in the database itself that says "I'm a data warehouse, so I'll behave in a certain way and have certain requirements."

  • Accounts receivable: Diferrence between "transaction number" and "number".

    Hello!

What is the difference between "transaction number" and "number" as shown in the window of transactions?
    Where are they used?

    Thank you!

Transaction number is the number of the invoice. It can be a number that is entered manually in the case of manual invoices. Even in the case of imported bills, it can be a manually assigned number if the trx_number field in the ra_interface_lines_all table. If you setup for the invoice batch source indicates the automatic numbering of transactions, the transaction number (invoice) is automatically generated in order. The starting number is mentioned in the lot Trx source.

The document number is a number generated by sequencing of Document. To the generated document number, you must do some sequencing Doc as settings setting profile options "Sequential numbering", to create sequences of document and assignment of the sequence to the categories. The transaction types are created as classes.

The Transaction number may be the same as the number of the document, if you enable the option "Number printed on the Transaction number" in the invoice batch source.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you

  • The difference between the ADR and ADF

    People,

Hello.   I have implemented PeopleSoft Campus Solution 9.0 revision 5 for a University. I develop the application for Admission online for future student to apply for admission.

I need to install Oracle ADF (Application Development Framework) or ADR (execution of Application Development) to run my application for Admission online web page for PeopleSoft Campus Solution 9.0, but I do not know the difference between the ADF and the ADR.

    My installations are below:

Server machine: Oracle Linux 5.10 (64-bit)

Client computer: Windows XP Professional (64 edition) with the Internet Explorer browser

Architecture Internet Oracle Linux 5.10 Server:

    (1) database server: Oracle Database 11 g

    (2) the server application: Tuxedo 11 g

    (3) web Server: Web 11 g logic

    (4) browser: Firefox Mozila

    5) 8.53 PeopleTools and PeopleSoft Campus Solution 9.0 R5

On the download page http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/ADF/downloads/index.html , there are 2 packages to download:

    (1) execution of the 12.1.3.0 application development

    (2) oracle ADF essential 12.1.3.0

My Architecture Internet of PeopleSoft as shown above has been working properly for a long time. Logical Web 11g works correctly. It seems that the first 'Application development performance' package also install logical Web server which is not necessary in my machine. In addition, ADR is not free, and we may need to purchase the license.

Essential because ADF is free and without license fees, I chose Oracle ADF essential 12.1.3.0.0 to develop the application for admission online. I read his paper on http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/documentation/121300-cert-2164864.html

9.0 Solution Campus system will be run by a University to do business formally.

    My questions are:

First of all, what package is right for my application for Admission online Campus Solution 9.0? ADR or essential ADF?

Second, if choose essential ADF, I have a few questions about the 12.1.3.0.0 ADF to match my installations as below:

    (1) as indicated in the document, ADF 12.1.3.0.0 can work with Oracle Linux 5 & 6 (64-bit) and other operating systems. ADF can also work with Windows XP? Can I install ADF with my Oracle Linux 5 server machine?

    (2) as indicated in the document, ADF 12.1.3.0.0 can work with Websphere Server Application. ADF can work with Tuxedo 11 g?

    (3) as indicated in the document, ADF 12.1.3.0.0 can work with the Firefox browser. ADF can work with Internet Explorer in Windows XP?

    Thanks in advance.

If you want to use essentials, you must download the package from the essential. ADR is the complete stack where you must purchase a license.

    Hello

The main problem is, you are not allowed to deploy critical applications of the ADF in the clustered environment.

  • Difference between subview JSF and fragments of the Page in ADF Faces

Hi, what is the difference between the use of JSF subview tag and ADF Faces page fragments.

    It's between these two-

    < f: subview id = "header" / >
    < jsp: include page = "Header.jsp' RAS ="true"/ >"
    < / f: subview >

    and

including directly a fragment of a page (with an element of jsp:root outbreak) as below

    < jsp: include page="/fileExplorer/popups.jspx"/ >

    Thank you

The subview is a naming container which ensures that no violation of ID of component unique is caused by the imported page fragment. Use the component subview, all IDS of any fragment component are prefixed with the id subview followed by a colon

  • Difference between the message and conversation

What is the technical difference between a message and a conversation. Is that when multiple messages are in 1 conversation?

    A message.
An email received or sent is a message.

A conversation can be launched with a message.
A conversaion can have messages, screw where the example: the 'Reply' button was used and enamel is spent here and there with the comments.

If you select multiple messages in a list, they will be displayed below in the Message pane in the form xx number of conversatons.

If you right-click on a message in the list and choose "open in a conversation." then it will open in a new tab showing all the emails included threaded, which are relevant to that conversation, both received emails and those you sent.

  • What is the difference between the VI of the histogram and the General histogram VI?

    Hello

I did a google search and forum for this and came up empty. I would like to know if there should be a difference in how the work of both?

I ask because I gave exactly the same table both X and was two different results, unless I also specified the interval bins / # to be equal for each of them. (level for the VI histogram and #bins for the general histogram VI)

It also means I want to know the difference between the intervals and #bins? They are the same thing with different names just?

It's more of a general idea on how the two screws work to obtain a specific solution to a problem, anyway, so any help is appreciated

    Thanks in advance.

    Pladio wrote:

Thank you. No idea why the same data would give different histograms when the specification is not garbage?

    Yes.

The normal VI, if you do not connect the entry "interval", will give you 10 bins, becaue that entry is set by default to 10.

The advanced VI, if you do not connect the "#bins" of entry, will give you a number of bins from comment how are made, or the size of the incomming table. This number is 1 + 3.3 log n, where n is the size of the array. This is called rule of Sturges, and is more or less explained in the programming of this VI. Open it and look at it.

    Hello

Is could someone please tell me what is the difference between the HP Deskjet 3522 and HP Deskjet 3520?

I've seen both for sale online and can see no difference between them... so don't know why different model numbers

    Thank you!

The difference in the number of products, is because it coordinates with the serial number.

So when you have a problem, or warranty issues, the number of the product will compete with the serial number in the system.
