  I use a fixed IP address, which is given by my ISP and access my ESXi host. In my configuration, only 1 IP access for guests using the vsphere client. I tried just sure my host and I think I made a big mistake because now my ISP changed my IP fixed without informing me and they cannot redeploy back. So I can't access my host now. Apparently I forgot to add an IP more towards the security profile and I locked myself. I see the host's screen if I want to add another IP or remove the IP of the host itself screen restriction. Is this possible? I can't find option to do this. SSH was disabled and limited also with the same IP address. Lock mode has not been activated. I have 2 important virtual machines running on the host's hard drive so I don't want to reset the configuration. I need suggestions please if you know another way through the host's screen. I feel really stupid not having any other intellectual property on the security profile. Do I have to reset the configuration to set everything back?

  Welcome to the community.

  Go to your directly access UI (that grey and yellow) and click Alt + F1. You will enter esxi local shell. You can enter the command: esxcli network firewall ruleset allowedip add and add a new IP.

  in a page of my web application, I need to add a button that when clicked shows a PDF in a pop-up window which enables the user to download on the PC.

  To get the file PDF, the application must call a Web service method that returns the contents of the file encoded in base64 in the body of the response. If the request does not get the file, but a stream that must be dealt with to get the file.

  Could you kindly advice me a good approach/tutorial to create this feature?

  Call your servlet ws, then convert bytes of payload in base64 and returns this as a binary stream.

  Client side, you can use af:inlineFrame component inside the af: popup to call your servlet.

  Much better to execute the query in the template project.

  The battery life on Vista and Windows 7 displayed in percent. If you want in hours and minutes too you must install an additional tool such as Notebook BatteryInfo. Use Google to find this program!

• Possibility to see the taskbar of comments in Unity mode?

  Anyone know if its possible to show the taskbar to the guest in Unity mode?  I did a lot of research and found a config file that supposedly would work, but it did nothing.  I know that this is possible in VMWare Fusion.

  I'm running on 64-bit Fedora 17 (Gnome3) and am struggling with the switch on VMWare to VirtualBox.  I can't see/interact with the notification icons on my vm comments unless I spend the mode of the unit.  Its driving me crazy!

  BTW, I want to do a huge shout out to VMWare for the addition of the integration of ESXi!  I love being able to interact with virtual machines in our company as a whole, without having to run the vsphere on a guest virtual machine Windows client.

  Workstation and the Player do not have the ability to display taskbar of comments, one merger.  But it is good to know that this is a feature that you would like to see in the product.

  1 expand a table tree node

  2. click on a link that leads to the control to the other side of taskflow with just a back button and a page.

  3. click on the back button.

  4. the control returns to the page treetable. But the nodes are automatically reduced now.

  The problem is that we want to maintain the State of the expanded tree table when we sail to the original page.
