Admin password has been changed on Windows 7. Help?

A friend asked me to change their password for admin on their Windows 7 PC. He writes down. At their witness typing me in what they wanted it to be. System has accepted the new password. After the reboot, the password did not work.

So only my friend told me of them receives a call on their PC violate the copyright somebody and telling them to change their password. I suspect (90% sure) they have a virus on their PC, and that the virus has intercepted and changed the admin password.

Now, I'm locked and cannot install anti-virus software.

What should do?

Help, Dave

  • Why to start Firefox message appears that "the color palette has been changed to Windows 7 Basic"?

I am running Windows 7. When Firefox starts the message that arrives the color scheme has been changed to Windows 7 Basic. The message then continues to talk about the incompatible program. When I close Firefox to the colors return to normal. It has just begun to happen.

Check that you are not running Firefox in compatibility, or with a reduced screen resolution mode.

You can open the properties of the desktop Firefox shortcut via the context menu and check under the tab "compatibility".

Make sure that all items are disabled in the tab "Compatibility" in the Properties window.

  • Someone stole my phone and when I came back, their iCloud account was on him and the password has been changed. What can I do?

My phone was stolen recently while I was at Walmart. Sprint located the phone 4 hours later (after saying earlier that they could not do it at all) and sent a message to inform him that had the phone that he had been located. The phone was found at Walmart soon after. When I got the phone back, I noticed that the phone has been restored to the factory settings and the password has been changed. I restored the phone myself using iTunes, but now I'm stuck on the activation screen because they put their iCloud account in my phone (I never put one up myself, not knowing that this would cause this kind of problems) and I do not know the password. I've lost all the photos of my son (he was two weeks previously and I had not copied to my computer yet) and voice messages, I have saved my father who died last year. And now I have a rental phone that costs me $60 / month, that I can't use. Sprint said there is nothing they can do. I called Apple and received no help from their part is there something I can do?

It requires the Apple ID and password of the thief. If you don't have it and can't get it, then the device is useless to you.

    Find my iPhone Activation Lock

Check in the future first before you buy second hand: How to check for Activation lock before buying a second hand iPhone.

You can take it to any Apple Store with the proof of it being stolen and that your are the original owner. They may be able to help. If not, then you will need get a new one or pay for a replacement by a similar remanufactured unit.

Choose the topic and the topic is similar to the order of the day that you need help. Then, proceed to step 2 of the statement where several items from the library of FAQ will appear for you to review and go to step 3, continue assistance request (the blue button "" appears in the bottom right of the page of the site). You can also go through step 4 where you will be referred back here to the community; no need to do what the community is where you started. When you fill out the online form and click on send, your information is relayed to Skype, and you will receive an answer by e-mail.

my wifi password has been changed and now I want to get back in touch with the new password HOW

    Hey gerritfrompretoria,

If you are not prompted to use the new password to your Wi - Fi network when trying to connect, you may have to remove the network on your system. This can be done by the following steps.

    1. Open system preferences in the Apple menu
    2. Choose the network
    3. Select a Wi - Fi connection on the left
    4. Click Advanced... in the bottom right
    5. Choose your network from the list of preferred networks
    6. Click on the '-' at the bottom of the list
    7. Click OK
    8. Click on apply

Once removed try to connect to your Wi - Fi network normally and you will be prompted for the password.

    Sincerely

I want to make is that after I change his password for the current user gets "expelled" from the app to the login screen.

Capture logon after user/password hash and store it in a part of the application. Create a On Load: before header process application which runs under condition if the hash of password/user session is different from the one currently in the database, the call apex_custom_auth.logout . This will disconnect the user on the first page is rendered after the password is changed, but will (in most cases), save the changes before you do.

  • Password has been changed

So my sister got some friends over the last week and they were using the network of my sisters. They have changed the password and then alluded: "is iz blits (:". ")" I use my netbook (Samsung N130) sisters to watch anime them during the night and writing my homework.

The netbook is two years and the reception and restore disk is out of the question (I doubt a recovery disk was included when it bought the netbook can not take CD). I looked online for the solution with a USB port. but to do this it requires you to install software on the computer FOR this authentication bypass/return to work.

I understand that people who read this will make the assumption that this netbook is stolen, and I'm trying to convince. But I can assure you that it is legitimate.

    Here you go:

    1. Allows you to burn a CD of Windows repair through the control panel of the machine of a friend / backup and restore.
    2. Use the method described here to create a bootable USB repair flash drive:
      http://mintywhite.com/Windows-7/7maintenance/create-bootable-Windows-7-system-repair-USB-drive-netbooks/
    3. This reader allows to boot the machine in Repair Mode.
    4. Use system restore to get us back to a point before that the password has changed.
    5. Plan in advance and create, test and document a spare, even admin account that you have a spare House key. Have a spare admin account could solve you that problem in less than a minute.
  • Satellite A110-179 - BIOS password has been changed - can't access BIOS

    Hi, everyone:

I have a problem with my toshiba satellite A110-179.
I'm not exactly how, my computer has set a user password CMOS, which completely avoid me access to the BIOS, or a correct boot system settings.
So I Don t know to restart the CMOS settings, to remove all configurations, the user password that is included in this.

I been reading about the process of possible resetting my BIOS of the laptop, so I can't find exactly how do, so everyone know that it is impossible in laptops from Toshiba, reset the default installation settings.

    Is this true?
    Can I do something?

Please, explain the process. I'm completely hopeless on this issue.
Excuse my terrible English, it has been forgotten.

    Thank you, for your help.

    Best regards from the Spain.

    Hello

Is the password of the BIOS cannot be deleted by the user if the user doesn t know this password.
In this case, the ASP from Toshiba (certified partner) must be contacted in order to remove this password.

Sorry mate but to my knowledge, there is no other way to remove it
Therefore, get in touch with your ASP and ask for help!

    Good luck

  • Password has been changed and I can't connect is more windows XP

I have an acer aspire one mini notebook running windows xp. A disgruntled employee changed the password, sign in and I can't connect change back. Any suggestions?

If you have a different user account with administrative privileges, Panel you can connect that account and change the password of your account of origin of the user accounts applet in Control Panel. If you do not have another account like this set upwards or that you do not have the password which you will need to log on to the built-in Administrator account. In XP Home, start the computer in Mode safe. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. This will put you in the right menu. Navigate using your arrow up; the mouse does not work here. Once in safe mode, you will see the normally hidden administrator account. The default password is white.

In XP Pro, you don't need to go to Safe Mode. In the home screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in "Administrator" and the password that you assigned when you set up Windows.

If you reset the password of the account administrator integrated into house or have Pro and don't remember the password, use NTpasswd to change the password of the built-in to a white administrator account. Download the bootable CD .iso image file, burn with third-party burning software such as free ImgBurn , Nero or Roxio. Burn as an image, not in the form of data. Start with the media that you have created. You need to maybe change the boot order in the BIOS or obtain a menu of boot command temporary with the pressure of a special key. NTpasswd will run. Follow the instructions carefully.

Then, go to the user accounts applet in Control Panel and set passwords that you remember and other changes. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • When my password has been changed

I have 2 account. both are administrative. one of them is locked by password, and another has no password. But yesterday someone add this account password also. Can I change the password I know but I want to know is that when the password is added to this account. can you please help me find.

In a command prompt window, type net user & "the name of the account to check.  [The "" marks are necessary only if the account name has a space]

    NET user "TheUserNameOfTheAccountBeingChecked".

or, to save a record of the information you see on desktop of your account,

    NET user 'TheUserNameOfTheAccountBeingChecked' >YourNormalUserAccountName\Desktop\NetUserResults.txt C:\Users\

[Note that it is on a line with a space between the end of the user name & the > symbol]

Among other things, you will see the date on which the password of the account was changed.  You will also see the setting for wheher or not a user can change the password.  For more information about the very powerful command net user , see Net user - Technet

Having an Admin account that has no password is laying yourself open to malware and it could have been what happened.  The risk is similar to that described in why to use a standard instead of an administrator account user account

Personally, I'd do a comprehensive series of controls, anti-malware & cleaning, because you are probably infected.

  • With the help of Microsoft Office 2003 in Windows 7 that has been changed in Windows XP

The company I work for recently had to buy a new computer because our hard drive crashed.  We were accustomed to using Windows XP, so the newcomer with Windows 7, but they managed to install Windows XP on it, which is good, since that's what we are used to.  However, the new computer came with OpenOffice and not Microsoft Word or Excel.  Some of the functionality is the same, but it is quite different and slows me down because the formatting of the documents is not the same and we don't have time to reformat all of our existing documents.  We have been using Word 2003 and Excel 2003.  Can someone tell me if buy us Microsoft Office 2003, if it will work on our existing Windows 7 with Windows XP change?  If so, our existing documents created in the 2003 version will remain unchanged or anyway should I reformat them?  Any help you can provide is MUCH appreciated.  Thank you!

If your company has put Windows XP on it - which was a 100% wipe.  This computer has no idea that he had never Windows 7 top because it cannot read some sticker is on it (product key/certificate of authenticity), nor can it read the invoice which was purchased with it.

When they suffered the (formatted) system and installed Windows XP pn it cleanly and updated it - they should have installed other software you needed in the context of your work.  Which probably included Office 2003.

OpenOffice is free - anyone can get it.  If you own a license for Microsoft Office 2003, you do not - you might have installed on Windows 7, or you can install it on Windows XP now. (License and support).
