No android 4.1.0 and above tablets support adobe air? Are there any known issues or bugs?

    I see that beta support has been added for Android TV in one of the beta versions of AIR 20. Read this discussion:

    It seems that you would have used equip 185 and not the final version. Or you can try an AIR 21, or 22 AIR beta version.

    I develop Adobe Air (for Android) application that is designed to be constantly turned on. App has operations based event. However, when the phone goes to sleep mode app is able to perform only one or a few events in a second which is not good enough. AIR SystemIdleMode.KEEP_AWAKE - mode is not an alternative because it is too consuming battery.

    I am looking for a solution when the phone is allowed to enter the mode 'sleep' (screen is off), but still the CPU performance are not radically fallen. Not sure Android part wakelock-mode does the job and is available through DONKEY?

    What type of event you are missing to be able to manipulate during sleep? According to the documentation from Adobe AIR decreases the rate of 4 frames per second when it is moved to the background or becomes inactive. Im guessing that the screen, disabling account in this respect and that is probably a reason as to why you have found only a few events a second, but I can't say for sure without knowing what type of event you use. In regards Android PowerManager WAKE_LOCK function, Google documentation says that you should not use this API unless you absolutely, and if you have to use it, you use it and do with it as soon as possible as long as this hurts API independence (they have same "BOLD" the part about the battery life). What you try to do that requires that the app is always on? More details can help myself or others provide other options to accomplish what you are trying to do. If you must use the PowerManager, you should be able to create a DONKEY to turn on and off the WAKE_LOCK mode, but could only help the side Android/Java things and you might need to move your event handling during the side of things because Java application of AIR will be always abandoned at 4 frames per second when the screen turns off.

    I just got the same questions the other day, and I have to run now. I think that this has nothing to do with the Proguard, downgrade your lib google-play services.

    I upgraded my google-game-services for the last days of version before, and I found that if I chose the jdk 1.7 to write my own ANE sources, my own java package, nor the services google-play-included in the final APK.

    But after that I've chosen the jdk 1.6 to compile my source and rebuilt DONKEY, my own java package included in the final APK.  So I think that the AIR adt does not support classes that generated by jdk 1.7. Then I downloaded the 4.4.52 google services-play-lib version and rebuilt my DONKEY, everything works fine.

    I am using the accelerometer in my flash game, which works for all the other projects I'm trying, but for some reason any on a project if I try to use it I get, using the same code that I've used before, such as this one.

    1046: type was not found or is not a constant of compilation: accelerometer.

    1180: call to a method may be undefined, accelerometer.

    It is a quite old file, not if old, then, are there files I have to add to make it work or I need to change the settings? It's very frustrating, I don't know what the problem might be. Can someone help me?

    The error message indicates it does not find the class.  Make sure you import it:

    import flash.sensors.Accelerometer;

    I tried to use the APK for BAR converter on the blackberry site.  I used an app, I've done in the Air Flash CS5.5 for Android.  When it has been sent for approval, I was sent that the app was rejected as she asked the user install Adobe Air.

    This may seem a stupid question, but I can't find Adobe AIR SDK 2.5 anywhere to download.  I try to install the new SDK Blackberry and he prays the AIR SDK but all I can find online is Adobe AIR SDK 2.6 is not working Blackberry requires 2.5.  Someone at - there a place I can download the SDK from?

    The current website Adobe AIR SDK is 2.6. And BlackBerry WebWorks SDK version 2.5 don't acknowledge that during installation. BlackBerry can be updated in the next release.

  • Cannot open the Muse due to issue with Adobe Air

    Mac OS 10.6.8 on a 2.4 GHz Intel core Duo w 4 MB of ram

    Muse v.7.4.30, worked well until - while trying to open, I was prompted to update Adobe Air. I have so much and now cannot open Muse.

    A warning window says:

    "This application requires a version of Adobe Air, which is not found."

    • I uninstalled the 'new' version (from AA)
    • downloaded an older version on the adobe website - v.17.
    • restart the computer.
    • v.17 installed
    • restarted the computer and still could not open the Muse - with the same alert pop up.

    anyone?

    Try to download and install version 19 instead of 17.

    I use the iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.3, with a development certificate.

    With Adobe AIR SDK 16.0.0.283 and now with 17.0.0.93, after compiling the application (whether release or debug mode), before the getTimer() app can never reach 999 milliseconds the app will crash. Any code that I have, it just hangs before the runtime can never reach the first second.

    Anyone else having this kind of behavior?

    I can't update AdobeAir and now pandora will not work. I tried to update for the month.

    There is an error unspecified everytime I try.

    So now, I try to uninstall AIR, so I can try to reinstall.  I get the same error when I try to uninstall it.

    Could you try uninstalling AIR using the Windows Installer Cleanup utility?  Details on this app on this post.  If this does not resolve the problem, the next step would be to review your logs to install AIR.  Here are the details of this procedure:

    1. ensure that the display of hidden files is enabled.  You can find instructions on the Microsoft site:

    Windows 7, Vista, XP

    2. navigate to the following folder (replace username with your username):

    Windows 7: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Adobe\AIR\logs

    Vista: C:\Users\ username\AppData\Local\Adobe\AIR\logs

    XP: C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\AIR\logs

    3 attach the install.log to your post on the forum or open the log file with Notepad or your favorite text editor and select all and copy/paste.

    4. in some situations, the AIR installer will fail during the installation MSI.  You can determine if this has happened by searching the text to Install.log "an error has occurred during installation msi operation".  If the text is found, please enable and locate the MSI log using this Microsoft document and include it, as well as the Install.log AIR when it referred to the issue of installation.

    Once the MSI logging is enabled, rerun Setup from the AIR to generate the MSI log.

    I tried to publish a game that I have developed in Adobe Flash CS6 using the Adobe Air platform.

    I've done this countless times before, I'm not new to develop in Flash.

    Even if everyone thinks that HTML5 will take over as "Flash is dead" I still think it's a great development platform.

    I have trouble getting my APK files to run on Android 5.0.2 (Lolipop) without apparent reason.

    If I choose to install AIR separately, it works. If I decide to incorporate it into the APK, it gives an error immediately after the launch of the app.

    There is no error code and nothing I can do reference. just an error "The Application was able to start".

    This article was written 7 months ago, there is a good chance that the AIR is ok with 5 Android now. Even the article, that it was fixed in 5.0.1.

    AIR installed on the computer is not the same as the AIR SDK. You don't want to not download either version of the AIR SDK:

    Download Adobe AIR SDK

    or download the latest beta, which is be AIR 19:

    Once it has downloaded and unzipped, you will have a record. Now go to the Help menu of Flash Pro and select managed Adobe AIR SDK...

    Here, you can add an item and navigate to where the folder is located. It can be anywhere, I tend to leave in my downloads folder.

    If you were to take the file act.jar of this article it would be things likely to mess. But just as a point of interest to Flash Pro users, the file is located in the SDK folder, inside the lib folder.

    So, the short version of what I hope are you currently build for AIR 3.2, who would have a chance with the latest versions of Android, and edit using AIR 18 or 19 would be a good idea.
