• Adobe Audition CS6 - problem with tools

  Ah, I figured that out it seems you define how long you want the recording to be, within the program Studio One 2... It was fixed in five minutes, that's why it has not imported the entire file in Adobe Audition... Thanks for the help!

• Adobe Audition CS6 exported read-only when I can't reach, but randomly

  I work for a company that uses Adobe Audition CS6 for some work. We export sessions on a share drive that can be pulled up in our automation programme. The problem is when the don't export that sometimes (did a test of 10 attempts from the same file, same settings, 7 3 traverse doesn't) it exports a read-only and will not pass by the reader on the part. He was suspended in limbo. I can't reproduce the problem at the request, it seems to be "random". This only started happening when we deployed PC updated.

  Then I fear that it is unlikely to be a problem with the codec WO. In this case we on this forum from a user to probably will not be much help. However, if you're lucky, the developers of the hearing look on this forum from time to time, as you will see from the other thread of WO users and may be able to get this looked in bug.

  It is also probably a good idea to publish it as a bug on the list of bugs to Adobe Audition. Pointing out the problem with WO may be a good one.

• Adobe Audition CS6 works with Wasapi or Wasapi-event Style?

  I think of buying a card internal sound for my Office Windows 10 PC to improve the audio peripheral base embedded in the motherboard (VIA HD Audio V2021). The sound card, I'm interested is the Asus Xonar Essence STX II, which was very welcomed. However, I'm not sure I could make it work with Adobe Audition CS6 because

  (a) if I use the ASIO driver, it ignores completely all Windows controls and I will remain no control over the volume either. That wouldn't matter if I was going to feed the analogue output to an external system, which had its own analog volume control, but I want to use it on my desktop with a helmet and so I should always be tuned to the output at full volume!

  (b) the next best thing would be Wasapi-event Style or just Wasapi. It would give me high quality sound and volume control. But I've never seen in the output of Adobe Audition CS6 settings, Wasapi offered as an option - I never saw Ms. or ASIO and as far as I know, Ms uses only Windows Live Sound, not Wasapi. So I wouldn't be able to use Wasapi with Adobe Audition.

  I could of course simply use MS with Windows Live Sound. But the sound quality reduction would contradict the point to get a better sound card. The other big problem with MS and Windows Direct Sound is that you must manually adjust the sampling rate in Adobe Audition based on each track that re-read you, otherwise hearing resamples it to match your last used setting. I don't know why it will be not only reproduce the beaches at their native sample rate but it will not be that's why I use ASIO or Wasapi.

  There is a lot to say about it - I'll try to cover at least some of them.

  CS6 hearing only supports MME and ASIO. Later versions will support WASAPI.

  Yes, there are not so many internal cards available nowadays, and those that there are tend to be expensive. If you really want a good map, then watch a Lynx L22 or something like it's – but make sure you're sitting when you read the price! However, a manufacturer that is more affordable than you may be interested is ESI - especially to their devices Maya44 and Juli (check specifications carefully before choosing). Avoid the Prodigy, as he uses the creative devices chipset, and you should avoid anything that bears this name attached to it - there was usually bad experiences with them for serious use, as their technology is really intended for the players, too.

The only link I can find is in the 5.0.2 update - but it tells me that this update is not for me because I have not installed the full version. • Adobe Audition CS6 and Alesis Multimix 8 Firewire multitrack problem

  I have the Alesis Multimix 8 Firewire mixer and use Adobe Audition CS6 for my recording program.

  I'm trying to connect 4 microphones via XLR and run them in individual channels in the Audition, but I can't get more than 2 to appear on the program, even if I plugged 3 right now. In addition to this, I have to run the input 1 and 2 input as a mono channels instead of stereo channels to operate at all.

  I'm looking to do a Podcast with my set up, is there a better program to use to record and edit? Or am I missing a driver for the hearing or the Multi Mix?

  Well, first of all the strawberry easy.  Features of mono microphones ARE so using mono channels is absolutely correct.

  In addition, you mention the drivers.  There is no special driver for hearing, but it is interesting to go to http://www.alesis.com/multimix8firewire to see if there are any updates for your mixer driver.

  You don't mention what system OS you use, but according to what it is, you should go to the Audio settings for Windows (and not in the hearing) page and make sure that all channels of the Alesis correctly detected.  You may need to set the Alesis as audio device as the default for this.

  In the menu Edition/Preferences/Audio Hardware Setup in Audition, make sure you have selected type device - I'd guess ASIO to start.  Make sure that your Alesis is selected as the default material.

  In the Edition/Preferences/Audio Channel Mapping menu, make sure that you can see all the channels of your Alesis.

  Finally, on the multitrack display, set the entry for each track to be appropriate to the Alesis channel.  If you do this regularly, I recommend that you get everything put up, then save it as a model of Session.

  And I see nothing better than hearing what you want to do... that is why it is used in thousands of stations all over the world!
