  Sorry for the late reply. I fixed it as follows. It was not enough to run the drop as an administrator, but to give administrator rights for all users (right-click the drop-> properties-> compatibility-> settings for all users-> check "Run as Administrator"). On another device, I also had to do the same thing with Photoshop itself to run the drop.

  For current work, I disabled the need to accept any request of the administrator (search-> Type "UAC").

  Guess that's the best temporary solution.

  We went to Abobe CC 2014. We have droplets which work on cc5.5 do not work on CC2014.

  So I recreated new droplets using CC2014, but still we get "Droplets could not communicate with Photoshop" error.

  It works on the run/debug mode (play Actions) only. When we create droplets then we receive above error.

  Can we fix this on CC 2014.

  I have a droplet which stretches from digimarc on my images.  Its working well for the past 2 years.  However the most recent upgrade to LR2015CC and PS2015CC its broken.  I did go back and manually install the digimarc plug-in (because it is no longer installed by default) in PS 2015 CC.  The drop works well when it is run within PS2015 CC however when I try to run it as part of "Post-processing, after export" in CC LR2015 I now get an error message "droplets could not communicate with Photoshop.  It worked in the latest versions of LR and Psalm

  Anyone have this same problem?   It is a technique of very popular workflow for those of us who use digimarc.  I wonder if anyone else has encountered this and has a fix.

  Work around is to install the OLD PS CC2014 and restart the computer.  Then it magically connects to CC2015 PS without errors.

  I talked to Adobe customer service earlier today and it is a problem experienced by them which at the moment they do not have a solution.

  They said it should be fixed in the next update BUT I had this problem before with photoshop when any new I don't hold much hope on the fix.

Now when I try to use the AR, I get the following error message: "AR could not communicate to the DDE server". After reading several posts on the forums, I tried to clean up the permissions for AR DC. AR DC started working but only once. He went immediately to the same error message.   The error you see "Acrobat could not connect to a DDE server" occurs usually when Acrobat/Reader finds an already running instance of Acrobat/Reader software, tries to 'talk' to it, but this other instance does not. This can happen if there is a 'guillotine' or misconduct Acrobat/Reader running (perhaps in running in background because he doesn't close properly).

  If you are uncomfortable with the task manager of Windows (via Ctrl-Shift-Escape), then try and kill any what Acrobat.exe or AcroRd32.exe instances running in the background that may have disappeared.

  Since they are both HP products you the best solution is to talk to them...

  Most often when a device does not work, it is because the driver is damaged.  Re-install a new copy should help

All the drivers for my devices are updated and current. Exclamation points are noted in these devices in Device Manager. This seems to be a registry or a motherboard problem. While in the Device Manager, I clicked and uninstalled devices and then restarted the computer, hoping that the pilots would be automatically reinstalled correctly. It did not work, and nothing has changed. I've never had a problem like this before. Any suggestions?

  Problem has been resolved by removing the UpperFilters registry key.  Both the old and new readers are working properly. Thanks for the help and time.

  Yes, please check if you have Photoshop installed on your machine, if yes open it once so that you can edit your images in Camera Raw Utility in Bridge.

  I just built a new server ESX 4.0 (update1) and tried to connect directly from the VI Client.
