Acrobat Reader DC does not start in Windows 10 build 14915
Launch Acrobat Reader DC in the start menu. After a long wait, this message appears:

Ok

Even with a double click on a PDF in the file Explorer. Drive worked fine in Windows 10 build 14905 this afternoon before I updated.
What to do apart from push to 14905?
As a work around, I did the Microsoft program "Reader", the default value for the pdf files they open fine in the drive.
Thank you.

I am using Acrobat Reader DC. I used to be able to open .pdf attachments to an e-mail by clicking twice on the attachment. Since a few days it doesn't work like that. I get a message error "Acrobat could not connect to a DDE server. I discovered a way around - I have to listen to samples and then double-click on before its opening. It's heavy. Can I avoid it? How can I just double click again?
My BIG problem is with .pdf files already in my computer. Worse - these .pdf files open at all.

Please help me!

How to combine documents on the new Adobe Reader software? It seems to have updated and it does not combine files into one.
Se, Reader cannot do this. You can do it with a subscription to services pack pdf or the full version of Adobe Acrobat.

I've just upgraded to Adobe reader DC and now I can't save PDFs. really really frustrated. Says that it cannot connect to a DDE server.
In previous versions of reader, a small change in the Windows registry fixed this problem. I don't know if this still works for CD player, but it is interesting to try: download, unzip, then run the registry script from https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/aa605eb3-5973-4cab-85d0-dea22fb92680
It will make the following change to the registry:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\acrobat\shell\open\ddeexec\application]
@="AcroViewR10"

I bought a year of adobe cc today. The screen came to tell me that he has been to process my payment, do not press the 'back' button or refresh the page, because this could take a few minutes. 7 hours ago. I contacted the Department of chat help and told me it would take 24 hours to process. Is this normal? Why the screen me "a few minutes" looks like if she's actually 24 hours? Does anyone else have this problem? I'm so tempted to just refresh the page and try my luck with my credit card, canceling a second payment if it happens. THIS could be faster.

How can I make Adobe Reader 9 open to incoming PDFs instead of Acrobat 5.0?
How can I make Adobe Reader 9 open to incoming PDFs instead of Acrobat 5.0?
Hello
Assuming you have Reader 9.3.4 already installed on your machine, you can try the following to make demand opening of default PDF Reader 9.3.4:
1. right click on any PDF on your system, and then click the option 'Open with' from the context menu that appears. In case you get another submenu, click on program selected in this menu. (Where you don't see 'Open with' option, then hold down the SHIFT key and right-click on the file)
2. click on the Browse button in the dialog box that appears, select Reader 9. Make sure you check the box "always use the selected program to open this type of file"
3. click on OK.
This will make Adobe Reader 9 as the default viewer for all PDF files on your system.

I need to install Microsoft NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1, as it is necessary to perform a Dell diagnostic Test, but I've been advised that: Setup has detected that this computer does not meet the requirements to install this software. Requirement: Windows install 3.1.
However, when I look at the download page of Windows Installer 3.1 is not actually as for XP with SP3. I tried anyway and: Setup has determined that the version of Service Pack for this system is newer than the update you are applying. There is no need to install this update. Well actually it is there...
Is there a way to get around this?

Windows 10 fatal error: Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server
Today I couldn't open a pdf document by double-clicking on it in Windows Explorer. Apparently, nothing happened. Finally, I opened right click and chose with... Chrome. It worked. The default value is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. I found later, after the closure of the browser widow, dialog windows three under. Said dialog boxes "fatal error / Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server.»
When double checking so that writing this post, I found that by double clicking on a PDF document opens on board - and that works too. Right-click, context menu's 'Open' in the top of the page and more restraint, 'Open with->' and Adobe Acrobat Reader ms at the top of the submenu.
I just tried the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC selection and nothing I happening. I reduced all the windows one by one to see if a dialogue window appears, but no.Googling the error message turned up a suggestion to set a registry entry, but the entry was already the suggested value: HKCR\acrobat\shell\open\ddeexec\application: default: REG_SZ: AcroViewR10,.
What type of server Acrobat tries to connect with? How to? Acrobat Connect to the Explorer window for the file name?
With no information to go, how you can help out us, other than the nuclear option: reinstall everything?Thank you
Hi Cacadriil,

"Fatal Error: Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server.
Problem: Acrobat generates the following error ' Fatal Error: Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server "
SCENARIO #1
(1) if I double click on a single PDF file, the file opens without any problem
(2) if I double click on a second PDF file, I get ' Fatal Error: Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server.
(3) if I double click on a third file I also get ""Fatal Error: Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server " and so on..."
(4) if I completely close Adobe Reader, I can open and then again all a single PDF file
(5) basically I can have only one PDF file open at any time
(6) if I reboot my system, I can open multiple PDFs even once without any problems, but after leaving my system on without restarting the computer for a while (possibly after a whole day) the question back again and I have to restart once again to solve the problem. Very annoying.SCENARIO #2
(1) I Double click on a single PDF file, the file opens
(2) I click file = > open select one or more PDF files and have no problem open as many PDF files I want.
(3) I guess I can use this as a workaround but I find that it is not also practice that double-click several files in Windows Explorer.
Here's what I've tried so far vainUninstall/reinstall of Adobe Reader 9.1
-uninstall Adobe Reader 9.1 and Adobe Reader 8 installation
-Remove the checkmark next to "USE DDE" in the Windows Explorer File Types section
(In Windows Explorer, click on tools = > Folder Options = > Types of files = > PDF = > advanced = > open = > change = > use DDE)
-Set Windows Services Network DDE DSDM Network DDE services automatic and verified that they are both startedI'm on a corporate network, if that helps
Appreciate any suggestions
Sebastian
What are the properties of the remote procedure call, the workstation service that gives this error?
I had success with the "connect as" to "Local System account" with the "allow service to interact with desktop" checked.

Here's the situation.
First of all only started to the top of my Asus to find was no sound. Following up to plug-and-play service has not started. It is now removed apparently.
Here are the solutions I tried, in and out of safe mode:
While the plug-and-play was still there at all, and I tried to go I still receive error message 2. could not locate the file.
In CMD sfc/scannow reached 32%, then breaks down, saying: it finds corrupted files, but could not fix.
It Startin via msconfig did not work.
Tried to go through Device Manager, which is completely empty for some reason any.
System Restore is restoring before this problem. When you attempt a restore, plug-and-play service is not returned to the existence, defective or otherwise.
I knew, but there may be malware, mutiple scans with several services did not find anything.
I tried to contact microsoft help and they might suggest only I have upgraded to windows 10. Tried several times, and he has failed to be upgraded, every time. For the most part just download windows 10 and then by restarting the computer as if nothing happened. Any ideas on how I can fix this?
Hello
Welcome to the Microsoft community. I will certainly help you with the problem you are experiencing.
I would like to ask you:
- You are running Windows 7 or Windows 10 on your PC?
- When was the last time it was working fine? Remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?
Given that you are unable to complete the scan of SFC and Task Manager is empty, usually reinstall or do a repair install is the best choice of action. However, we can try to fix these files and check if that helps. To do this, refer to the steps below:
- Open the start menu and type "cmd".
- Right-click on the command prompt and click "run as administrator".
- Type the following commands and press ENTER after each.
DISM.exe / Online/Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
DISM.exe / Online/Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
After you run these commands, restart the system and check.
You can also view,
Difficulty errors of corruption of Windows by using the DISM tool / System Update Readiness
https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/947821
If you are using Windows 7 and have the product key for this. You try to run an upgrade in Place to fix all the corruptions.
Refer,
Hope this information was useful.
