Adobe Reader cannot open my e-mail program

I scanned a document, Adobe reader says it can't open my email program, so I am unable to send it.

Workaround solution-

1. save the scanned document to your hard drive (where you can find it).

2. open your e-mail program.

3. start a new email.

4. attach the scanned document to email (manually using traverse it to button or what is equivalent to locate the scanned document that you previously saved on your hard drive where you can find it).

4 complete email and send.

  • Cannot open the e-mail from Adobe Acrobat application

First of all, let me say that was exceptionally difficult to find somewhere I might actually post. I don't think it should be that hard, either I've missed the easy way. Eitherway, let me know if this is in the wrong place, because I am posting this now that I finally found somewhere I can actually post.

I use adobe acrobat X standard v10.1.2 (I think, should be fully updated without worrying) on windows 7 pro - x 32. I can open a pdf file and then click on the envelope to send by e-mail, and it brings up a side panel. When I tell the email attachment, it seems that if she does something and then disappears without notice. I tried as admin and same result, I troubleshoot compatibility and it came with xp sp2 and when I did, it says "cannot open the e-mail software" and when I run in administrator mode and xp mode it says always 'impossible to open the email software' on other computers it would be perfectly fine without a hitch, even if they are 64-bit could this be the cause? Also already tried to reinstall Acrobat and it did not help and tried to do a "repair" and that did not help either. So I'm really at a lost, unable to find any documentation on this error if were just troubleshooting using my typical procedures. I hope someone can help out me.

    Thank you

You are most likely in a problem with Win7 email client number. I'm not sure about AAX, but for older versions, the e-mail was through the interface MAPI Ms. Most of the time you simply make sure that your default e-mail client is specified in the default Windows programs. For some clients, you must enable their ability to use MAPI.

Not sure if this will help, but it is typically a Windows problem to solve because of the way Acrobat trys to interact with mail.

  • Cannot open the application "Mail" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported

I work on a MacBook Pro mid 2012

    Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz

    OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

The Mail app suddenly quit and when I tried to resume, I got this message

"Cannot open the application"Mail"because the PowerPC applications are no longer supported."

This also happens with the "Maps" app

All Mac software are up to date, but "Mail" has been working fine since my last update that was awhile ago.

I am confused to say the least. Suggestions? Thank you!

If you do a Get Info (command - I) on Mail and Maps applications, what version numbers do you see?

    Try a reboot.

Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

Isolate a problem by using a different user account

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  • How can I make Adobe Reader 9 open to incoming PDFs instead of Acrobat 5.0?

How can I make Adobe Reader 9 open to incoming PDFs instead of Acrobat 5.0?

    Hello

Assuming you have Reader 9.3.4 already installed on your machine, you can try the following to make demand opening of default PDF Reader 9.3.4:

    1. right click on any PDF on your system, and then click the option 'Open with' from the context menu that appears. In case you get another submenu, click on program selected in this menu. (Where you don't see 'Open with' option, then hold down the SHIFT key and right-click on the file)

    2. click on the Browse button in the dialog box that appears, select Reader 9. Make sure you check the box "always use the selected program to open this type of file"

    3. click on OK.

This will make Adobe Reader 9 as the default viewer for all PDF files on your system.

Under Edit - Prefs. - Documents check the box that says "Restore last display settings when reopening documents." Hide the Pages panel manually, and the next time that you open the file it should have disappeared.

    Hi Robert K B,.

It seems that the file on your computer is corrupted, and the default program to open files is set to Adobe Reader.

Method 1: As a first step of troubleshooting, you can uninstall Adobe Reader and check if the file associations are defined by default.

    Method 2:
Once you uninstall Adobe on your computer, follow these steps to resolve the problem:

    a. Click Start, click Run, and type command

    b. type the following commands one by one:

    cd\windows
    Regedit

    c. If the Registry Editor opens successfully, then navigate to the following key:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ exefile-shell-open-command

    d. double-click the (default) value in the right pane.

    e. delete the current value data, and then type:

    "%1" %*
    (ie., quote-percent-one-quote-space-percent-asterisk.)

    f. navigate to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe

    • In the right pane, set (default) exefile

    g. quit the registry editor.

    Check if this helps you.

  • Cannot open certain e-mail messages. He askes me to define an association in the Control Panel, but do not know how to configure...

Please, in the future, remove all the verbiage above when you ask for a
issue. It has nothing to do with your question. And ask your
questions in the body of the message, not in the title. The title
should be used only for a brief description of what is the question
    everything.

You say 'impossible to open certain emails', but makes the rest of your title
It sounds like you can open the e-mail message, but you cannot open
the accessories that come with them. Is this correct?

If that's right, read the following:

To open a file (if get you it as an attachment or any other)
by the way), you must have an appropriate program installed for him (be it
the program that created the file or a compatible program). So if you open attachments depends on what kind of files (the
extension, the characters after the dot at the end of the file name)
    attachments are.

If you get the files .doc or .docx, these were created by Microsoft Word
(or a compatible program) and to open them, you need Word, or
compatible program. Microsoft Office Home and Student includes Word.
You can also use OpenOffice (free software that is largely compatible
with Microsoft Office), WordPerfect, etc. Or you can download and
Install the free Microsoft Word Viewer
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=3657ce88-7cfa-457a-9aec-f4f827f20cac&displaylang=en
or http://tinyurl.com/2w3s6z the viewer will allow you to read existing
files, but not create or modify them.

To open .pdf files, you need a viewer pdf and Microsoft Office Home
and student will not help you. The standard pdf viewer than most people
the use is Adobe Reader, and you can download free of charge
    http://get.Adobe.com/reader/

It is more likely that you don't have a proper file installed
that you don't have the correct association, but if a
an appropriate program is installed, just right click on any file .doc
and choose open with. Highlight and select Word, select the check box
"Always use this program...". "and click OK. It should work fine
    from then on it.
The above paragraph is how do to the files .doc and Word, but for
other types of files, replace .doc with the extension of the file type and
    Word with the appropriate program.
If you try in vain to open other types of attachments,
Please tell us what types of files they are.
