advanced printing

In the advanced printing option, I can choose if I want to disable the grey scale and ink cartridge empty with only.

How can I do this by default?

I only want to print in black and not necessarily to go in and change this setting, every print job.

To print the black ink only follow the steps below.

1. Select Start menu
2. go into devices and printers.
3. right click on the printer, select printing preferences
4. in the lower right corner, select Advanced
5. and then under features of the printer select print grayscale a dropdown list will appear to black ink only.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hi all

I installed the update published recently on the question of impression.

I can print standard once again, but I can´t use advanced printing for our printer as the choice of paper, duplex printing etc. that I used to have

before printing a bug. Really sucks, because we need our pre-sets for various types of paper we print for our company. Any ideas?

    Hey,.

everything works fine again, updated the printer driver twice (no matter what...) and now each option is back where it used to be. Thanks for the patient advice!

  • Photosmart C310a: Advanced printer Definitions

I want to use the advanced color management, but I don't want to average different verbage, and I can't find anything on the site of HP that explains them.     IE: what does make an ICC?     What is a profile of WCS?   What are perceptual photo images?   What is Colotimetric?      What does not simulate average paper?    etc etc etc.

I'm not completely ignorant, but he would certanly be useful if HP would explain the options it has on its equipment instead of assuming everyone is an expert.

My basic problem is just, I wanted to print a rough photo and do not want to buy photo black ink because I don't print photos.     The photo ink cartridge is empty, the printer uses the regular black ink instead, so I don't get black in my photo.

    Hi @Jimsquest,

I want to help you shed light on advanced photo options.

    I found some information on potentially useful on the color management advanced;

    The default sRGB mode
The default sRGB color space is the most common configuration for print jobs. As mentioned, most of the images are sRGB and sRGB offers color high quality automatic without user intervention. When sRGB is selected, the driver controls the color management. Color management should not be attempted with ICC profiles, while the pilot is set to sRGB mode. This will lead to generally low color fidelity.

  • Why Thunderbird remember my settings of the printer?

I use a HP1050 inkjet printer. Normally I like to print using only black ink cartridge. Whenever you want to print an email, I need to select to use advanced printing black only. It takes seven mouse clicks. The next time I feel, it is default to color printing.

Is it possible to load up Thunderbird to use black ink by default, unless I say otherwise?

Go into devices and printers on your Start menu.

  • Why is my imac printing docs pdf with squares instead of text

I use OS X 10.9.5. When I want to print a pdf document was sent to me from an external source (for example, my electricity bill) the document is printed with squares where the text should be.

Sometimes if I get an overview of printing, it will look OK but always printed with squares/no text, and sometimes it shows squares in the preview. I was not able to determine a trend.

I tried to print the docs to two printers (HL 2140 Brother and Epson WF3620) with the same result. I can't find that someone has posted the same problem in any forum...

If there are small places where individual letters should be, it's a problem of compatibility of fonts.

If you print from Acrobat, you can work around this by using the option 'Print as image' under 'Advanced Print Setup:

  • Photosmart C7180 printing problem

So, here's a strange, my Photosmart C7180 age of 9 months has developed a bad habit to print all pages in landscape mode. I used the printer almost daily for 9 months, but 2 days ago I started to notice this weird quirk when printing multiple-page documents. I can't verify what may have triggered (this software or an OS update) because it is possible that I haven't printed documents several pages for a few weeks. I checked for the OS/App/Firmware updates and checked that I have the latest drivers and software. I restarted the two systems and reset the default settings for the printer.

I can print a single page in Portrait mode, but if I have 3 pages print the 2nd page comes out in landscape. I can print the 2nd page individually and it is fine. It happens that I print from Microsoft Word, or even if you use the Microsoft Photo Editor or HP Photosmart software.

I use the TCP/IP connection to print from my laptop Microsoft XP (even though I just checked that this happens when you use Bluetooth as well).

Everyone knows it or have one could explain why it seems to be possesed?

  • HP psc 1210 all-in-one: after installing Windows 10 my hp psc 1210 does not scan, I get a "need WIA driver" (but it prints)

    Hello

I installed Windows 10 about 3 days ago. The printer will print but when I try to scan I get the following error. Thanks in advance. print but when I click on Scan

    Hi @gregmalnickhp,

I see you found the error "required WIA driver. I would like to help you today. If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "" accept as Solution"" down below this message. If you want to say thanks for my effort to help, click on the 'Thumbs Up' to give me a Kudos.

The WIA drivers are part of the Windows operating system.

Download and try to fix the WIA drivers. If you don't feel able to do these steps, you can contact the computer manufacturer or Microsoft to solve the error WIA.

    Back up the registry first.

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows.

Restore default startup for Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) Type.

If you're still having problems, I would say to uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

Temporarily, run Antivirus software and try to scan the image.

If there is anything else I can help you, let me know. Thank you.

  • HP 7520 - cannot print custom size of the photo tray photo

I am trying to print a photo of small 2.5 cm wide on a 4 x 6 "piece of photo paper. If I choose the "custom" paper size then I can select 4 x 6 on the right and put 4 copies of the photo on the sheet.  But when I click on print it always goes for the main paper tray and then gives me an error (I emptied the main tray because I don't want it to be used). I don't want to use a large sheet of paper.

How can I force to take the paper from the photo bin? I tried every setting I can think. The selection of paper size automatically assumes that it is the size of the photo I want! If I choose 4 x 6 as my paper size it only allows me to print one full page. I need a tiny picture, preferably several times on one page. Without doubt, I should be able to say print the picture of this exact size and paper tray! Can anyone help please?

I use the HP Photosmart 7520 and Windows 7. Thank you.

    SeoulGal,

Thanks for the quick response. You have me a little confused, so I just want to clarify - initially you were trying to print on 4 X 6 paper, you then changed to 10 x 15, because the paper was not shooting from the photo tray? I assume you mean 10x15cm which is always the same size from 4 x 6 paper.

Anyway I understand that he won't shoot the photo tray paper, you place the tray in the photo tray when selecting to print? Have a look here at how change printer settings so it pulls the correct status bar: Print the Photos saved on your computer (Windows)

Please don't forget to take a look at the paper handling section in the printer Specifications as 2.5 photo size you are interested in is not, see here: 7520 Photosmart e-all-in-one printer printer Specifications

I could open my Windows Live Photo Gallery and play with the settings of the picture, when I select option 4 x 6 as you, I only get the option for "picture full page. Now when I select the letter or 8x10inches I am then given more options 2-4x6s, 1-8 x 10, 9-wallets and Board contact etc.. So that leads me to believe this is a limitation of the software.

Have you tried using another photo program to see if this allows you to get you exactly what you want? I open HP Photo Creations on my computer and did the following:

    1. click on the option of high prints

    2. navigate to multiple display prints and select display multiple impressions of grid.

    3. click on customize and print

    4. along the top, you are given the option to choose size, please make sure that the value is 4 x 6. See below

    5. now under the advance printing options, go ahead and select the following settings:

    6. you are also able to change the number of pictures you want per sheet, I've now fixed it 2. If you want to only 1 copy of the photo under Copies change this to 1

    7. now you can go ahead and select print (remember under the parameter to select the right printer tray)

You are now able to print the smaller picture on paper photo 4 x 6 size the correct status bar? I look forward to hearing from you, fingers crossed

Hi Mike - There is no "claim"code"for this printer.  The printer lacks support of the ePrint, in other words, this isn't an ePrint printer.

  • DeskJet 3520 prints paper usually ok but food takes hold of the sheets of labels Avery too early

I have a Deskjet 3520 eAIO (wireless). Print labels Avery fine on other printers, but when I try to print them on the 3520, it seems to start to give the sheet of labels too early which means printing from more down the page (about 1/2 "") as it should. My 8 + yr old Canon print all types of avery labels with no problem, but he just finally bit the dust and I'm stuck.

    Hi panavygirl,

I understand that you have a problem with printing labels Avery to your Deskjet 3520 printer. I'll try my best to help you solve this problem. Could you please tell me the model number of your printer and the operating system that you are running on your computer?

HP Deskjet 3520 e-all-in-one and e-all-in-one printer, HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3520 product specifications the table below shows the types of paper supported. This printer doesn't support label paper. That said when you choose the type of paper in the advance printing preferences menu, try to choose a paper to heavier weight for the printing of labels.

The following table contains a list of sizes and types of paper supported.
