  You say that when you press the NUM LOCK key, the Numlock State does not change (if enabled to disabled and vice versa)?  Have you tried to unplug the keyboard and by ensuring that the keyboard of the laptop does not have enabled Numlock?  If so, turn it off on the laptop keyboard and reinsert the another keyboard and see if the problem is resolved.

  If you do not need the Numlock key, it can be disabled at startup with the following procedure:http://www.technipages.com/enabledisable-numlock-at-login-or-startup.html. • Impossible to reinstall OSX with order R-locked drive

  I have a Yosemite running to the end of 2010 iMac. This morning after noticing the computer is slow, I went into disk utility, and I tried to check/repair permissions, and disk check and repair. I received the message that the drive contained errors and cannot be repaired.

  I tried to re start the computer and that's when all the * broke loose! The mac gave me the gray screen with the Apple logo and the scroll bar, and then it shuts its self.

  I restarted with R command and managed to start in recovery mode. I tried to reinstall the os x. I was informed that my drive has been locked. I did the search and tired to run some terminal commands.

  Ironically, I was planning on buying a new computer this week. I would like to see if I can record it to give to my son for school use.

  This means two things:

  1. First: The folder that you created (with the lock) is private and only you can see.  No one else on your network or other users of the same computer, can open this folder.  It's for your eyes only.
  2. And next: the folder it is in (the parent of the folder with the lock) is not private.  If it was (if two records were private), there is no lock, because it would be redundant.  For example, if you went inside the folder locked and made another folder, it would be private too, but it would not show the lock.

  You can right click on the folder with the lock and choose "Share with" someone to remove the lock to give someone another access to the file.

  You can follow the steps:

  (a) press the Windows and X together and select user account.

  (b) click reset security policies.

  (c) click on reset policy.

  Check if it solves the problem.

  Yes you can add other starts. As root, run the following command to add a location of OCR or Oracle ASM

  ocrconfig -add +REDO01
