Aerial footage shot with F55

Hi all

Here is a sample of aerial images, that I shot on NYC & Boston using my F55. The camera is mounted on my air exhibitions gyro stabilized platform in a Bell Jet Ranger helicopter. The last clip of the aircraft in flight was pulled from my previous camera (Varicam). I can shoot video air in the Northeast for those who need it and also have to sell or rent stabilization systems.

Page 81 of the 3rd edition of CineAlta Magazine has an article and additional images of the helicopter and the system. See the link below.

    Hello!

Mix and Fix do not support the raw file format. Please try to download as a. JPEG. However, the support of raw files is an excellent idea for a future feature! Can we assume that your 1080 p 30 is an AVCHD.mp4 file or other?

You manually or automatically, the project should define the project preset

  • Adapter Optitek Mark II with F55

We have the original card Optitek and now Mark II. The mark II with the F55 does not need to be able to run to him. In other words, it can't connect the cable 4 pin to 12 volt. For users of F5, it's a new high since the F5 has 4 terminals of power to pin on it. With the adapter and the 50mm F1.4 on we have changed the menu setting of TYPE C. opening lens is t stops and arises in the VF.

  • Invert the sense of the video shot with Canon Powershot SX20IS

Hoping that someone might know how to help me.
I was at the wedding of my half-sister over the weekend and did some video as well as photos.
I'm changing the orientation of the videos that I shot. I shot the daughter of father vertically to get her dress and other dance in the video perfectly, I was hoping that I could rotate so that one would not observe the video on the side of the disk, I burn for them.

Does anyone know how do to change direction at the program (windows media player or something like that) or if there is some sort of free online video editing software that would do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

When you rotate an image, that's all you work with - that a single image, both of the latest digital cameras can handle this in the device, but a film is nothing more than a series of hundreds of images 'fixed '.  To rotate the movie, each monkey image (frame) must be turned.  It's a little more than most of the current crop of cameras can handle, so it must be done outside.  For instructions on the rotation of a sequence with Windows Movie Maker, see the following link:

  • How to get decent macro shot with my T3i + EF 70-300mm f/4-5. 6 IS USM

Someone here can direct me to a good tutorial on getting the macro shots decent with my objective T3i + EF 70-300mm f/4-5. 6 IS USM?  I'm pretty good in online searches, but I can't find are reviews and unboxings .  Even the manual I found isn't really give instructions re: macro, even if the lens itself says '1.5m/4.9ft MACRO' right on it.

Thank you very much in advance for any help!
    Deb

To use the lens for close-up photography, zoom focal length max (300mm for example) and run the tune-up to the minimum focus distance.  The distance of the development of saddle is close enough consider it is a zoom 70-300mm lens... but it's nowhere near as close as a dedicated macro lens to true.

You can get close... There are two ways to do this.

    (1) you can use a near plan diopter.  So that the lens you want the Canon telephoto lens 500 d (specifically you want the version with diameter of 58 mm threads to attach to the front of the lens 70-300 mm).  It's about $85.  It is a goal to two elements (which is good better than any diopter close-up of part 3).

    (2) you can use "extension tubes".  An extension tube is (believe it or not) exactly what the name says... it is a hollow tube... and it extends the distance between the lens and the camera body.  You attach to the camera (such as a lens) and then set the goal to draw instead of the body.  This positions the lens away from the plan of the image inside the unit and, therefore, range full tune-up of the camerea is shifted more near the camera (focusing more close distance was 1.5 meter without extension tube, but will be reduced to 42 centimeters just with the attached Canon 25 mm extension tube).  It allows not only the camea to focus at a distance closer, it also increases the size of the image) extension Tubes don't have any glass in there - they are completely hollow.  The body of the tube a pine e-mail to transmit signals through so that the camera body and the lens will always be able to communicate.

The Canon 25mm extension tube is about $140.  Kenko is another popular brand (their tubes are delivered as a 'game' of three different lengths).

Whether you use tubes extension or close-up diopters, Cannon suggests that you should manually focus the lens.

When you arrive at very close distance of focus, depth of field can become quite shallow.  If shallow you can't get as much of your subject in focus as you want.  Use the Hard-Core (a) macro photographers a tripod (because after precisely focusing...) "If your body moves a few millimeters, it may completely lift the subject outside the home).  If you do not want to make sure that you do not move (and the best way to do that is usually to use a stationary object to hold the camera - as a tirpod.)

They can also use a technique called "focus stacking."  The development of stacking is to take several pictures.  You take a picture, tweaking the development by a few millimetres and take another shot and repeat until you have enough plans to stack the subject of front-to-back with all the positions of different orientation.  The images are then merged using software (Photoshop will do, but there are third-party products that are dedicated to the development of stacking as well.)

I did it by wrapping a piece of tape around the ring to focus on my goal.  I then focus point of closest focus and use a marker to mark this point (on the Strip).  Then I focus on the point most distant from the focus I care and mark this spot on the Strip as well.  Now I take a series of photos... each, then slightly focus a little bit at a time, take another picture, and repeat until I got enough to get the closest points to the farthest, I scored on that tape.

More difficult Basic macro photographers will sometimes use what is called a rail development.  It is a track that Mount you on the tripod and then set the camera to a carrier rolling on "rail".  Rail has fine adjustment that allow to move the camera with control.  You run the rail back (furthest point), then focus your goal for the closet focusing point on your topic.  Rather than turn the ring on the lens... you use the buttons on the focus rail - which physically moves the camera forward.

  • How to create a movie shot with a long camera around the scene?

Here's a question in compositing with AE.

If for example we have a scene where a camera is inside or outside of a moving car, which is animated in Maya - here the camera can be locked for a window of the car from inside the car or locked in the car outside the car.  The car drove for a minute.  If the artist wants to use a paint plate mate as the backdrop for the environment of the distance, mountains etc. exactly how can it be achieved when compositing with AE? I mean, more masts paintings are a great HD 1080 p, or 4K plate so that the camera moves / pans can be obtained for the desire for a ball in the scene, which most of the time has a duration of seconds, before another shot is framed for a new scene and using a hide another painting as necessary which is excellent. However, for a car that drives for a minute, how does a composite this horizontal long pole in AE?

One solution is to import the image Matt long 'a minute' as a plan of the image to Maya and install cameras to capture the matte in the background of the scene accordingly, but this can have disadvantages in terms of flexibility/glance.

I hope that pros EI and experienced people can help me get guidance and potential solutions. Maybe if you can point me to resources written or video that can directly answer my question, would be too great!

    Thank you.

If they are flat paints and you need a very long one that is too big to create on a single layer, then you just stack in layers so the edges match and animate the position and in off-peak so they match.

Another option is to use something like Trapcode Horizon to create a transparent background.

A third option is to match the camera angle, the position and the movement with a real camera and then shoot a background plate. It's the way they shot in car studio scenes as they began to do so.

With respect to the implementation of the mast, just to make your 3D with an alpha channel stuff and put in place the appropriate layer structure.

  • 70 d is the production of shots with white streaks! It cleaned up. Sensor issue! Thoughts?

My 70 d suddenly started taking pictures with a PROMINENT white stripe! The largest aperture that's... that brought me to this could be a dust problem (even though I have never seen dust accumulate so) so I cleaned everything inside. It doesn't seem to help. Any thoughts? It seems that maybe a sensor... problem that I wouldn't replace!

It looks like a shutter problem.

  • the value 600 d/T3i for firing the shot with a wireless remote control without using the timer involved?

A 600 d/T3i is adjustable to shoot with a remote wireless without the timer is involved? I was not able to find a way yet.

Yes. Your remote control has a switch on the bottom it is shoot immediately, or with a 2 second delay sets. I guess that yours will be set to position 2. It must be set to 0. Problem solved. Best regards, col.

  • Why the footage shot in the 3:2 format open in RAW cropped to 16:9?

During the last two weeks, I find that all my images open in RAW pre cropped to 16:9, although my setting of the device are 3:2. I need uncrop each file to full size. The only thought that comes to mind, it is my E2 FujiX recently got a download of firmware of Fuji. Fuji has not responded to my requests for information, and I don't know if it's a firmware or a problem of Photoshop.

It is a problem with the firmware of Fuji, not Camera RAW. Other users of Fuji have reported the same problem after installing the latest firmware of Fuji.

Until the Fuji delivers a solution, a temporary solution is to change the preference of camera exposure of "weighted Central" to one of the two other options.

I know how to rotate the clip in the screen using the 'Effects' Panel, but when I export the video finished it is small with a lot of black space around it.  It does not fill the screen.  I don't know there is a way but it can not understand.

I use first CS5! I had trouble getting my "dailies" to adapt to the screen. If you look at the screen on the left below, what should be the size and frame. But it seems not to slip in the window with the final cut. I don't know if he has extremely zoomed in or what the problem is. If I click on it, I can turn to the size of the window, but in this case, it changes the size of the video. I projected all the details of my video below. Please help with this ASAP

When you launch first CS5, you are presented

with a menu of pre-defined sequence types to choose from.

You can skip this step by pressing "Cancel", then

import (or capture) your media, and to do this:

Or, right click on a media file and select "new sequence of the Clip".

None of these methods will ensure your sequence matches your media.
