After a reinstall of the operating system, I can't connect to internet

I have an Inspiron 6000 using windows xp, I recently had to reinstall the operating system, the problem I have now is that I can't connect to the internet.  I was able to connect wirelessly before reinstall. However, now I can't.  He said no found (NIC) network interface card. Please make sure that:

(1) a NETWORK card is installed on your PC

(2) the correct driver for the NETWORK card software is installed,

(3) the NETWORK adapter is enabled, and

(4) your cable modem is connected to the NETWORK adapter with the appropriate cable.

I have very limited knowledge on what this stuff is, and any help will be greatly appreciated.  If there is more information is needed please ask and I provide it, or try to provide it.

  • Where is the peripheral origin obsolete event ID 370 print spooler? Obsolete device can be removed from the operating system?

I get a recording of event ID 370, about once every four days, what about the EPSON Stylus COLOR 460 printer ESC/P 2. I recognize the device as an old device, which is no longer necessary, that I thought was completely uninstalled years ago and I am slightly surprised to see that the tracks still on the computer, or not, as it appears.

It is that I don't know if this record event was caused by a device driver package or the registry keys and values? Is the event ID 370 caused by or for both (device driver package / registry values) being obsolete?

I have the old appliance any longer, so it seems sensible to remove traces of the system and in turn eliminate the causes of event ID 370. However, to find all traces causing the registration of the event? What traces can be removed without problem?

1 today, this device does not show as a device available in display devices and printers to devices and printers.

2, I was unable to see a name similar unused volume in trying to remove the old device (when looking faded icons in the branches of the Device Manager with emphasis on -pilot no Plug and Play, other devices, portable devices, Port (COM & LPT), Printers).

3 reveals regedit there are registry keys and values in the registry that reference naked always at "EPSON" searches for the word. Yes, I have reason to assume that these registry keys and values have caused event ID 370? Is it safe to delete the registry entries, or should the registry key entries to receive new values? (I don't want the deletion of these registry values to cause instability in the print spooler.)

    Event ID 370 Description:
The print spooler could not regenerate printer driver information for driver Epson Stylus COLOR 460 ESC/P 2 for Windows x 64 environment. Win32 system 2114 error code (0 x 842). This can happen after an upgrade of the operating system or due to loss of data on the hard drive.

It seems that traces of information about devices are still present in the registry (invalid entries), which causes the event. Run a registry cleaner will solve this problem, but please visit the following link before continuing:

Correct - this forum is a support system-based user community. ON-BOARD staff rarely participate and check no reports of bugs here.

  • Impossible to download and reinstall the operating system after erasing HD

Yesterday morning, my iMac won't start.  It was fine the night before.

The progress bar reaches about two thirds to three quarters of the way to the end when the bar of progress disappears and I find myself with a gray screen. It does this by starting too.

I followed the advice of Linc Davis at https://discussions.apple.com/message/21333265 (hash) 21333265 (Note - I can't find the symbol of hash on my keyboard key so if you if know where he is, please replace by in the link - oh (hash) and tell me where it's too please ;-)).

I started the Revovery volume (now here actually).  Run Disk Utility/First aid finds no problem with MacIntosh HD (my boot drive). I can't find how to repair permissions.  The option no longer seems to be there. Reset NVRAM has nothing else that makes the iMac wonder my preferred language.

I used download and reinstall OS option.  The first time I tried to re-download El Capitan, it took 15 minutes and 45 minutes to install.  Installation failed leaving me to the grey screen again.  I think that the Setup program itself was trying to restart the iMac when he got stuck in the same place I'm stuck.  I left it there for about six hours before I tried to restart manually.

Tried to download the operating system again. This time, it was after using the recovery volume, select MacIntosh HD, by using erasing, then the option reinstall in THE.

I did two times now.  The first time I tried 'Erase and re - install' the download bar has got to a point about a third of the way across, and then he stopped. Time of download bar gradually got more and more long, up to what I canceled it (when the display estimated download time is six and a half).  The internet connection was problematic, or the Mac had stopped download (similar to the earier progress bar).  The second attempt to delete and download, the download bar has not yet started to progress.

My HARD drive has several volumes.

    1. The most important. My MacIntosh HD with OS 10.11.4 - El Capitan.
    2. The second, MacIntosh HD 2, is about 50 GB, a Mavericks installed on it.
    3. The third is 10.11.4 recovery volume.
    4. The fourth is another volume of recovery for the Mavericks.
    5. There is another called eDrive bulkhead.

Apart from MacIntosh HD, with none of these volumes I problems in starting up (with the possible exception of the Mavericks resumed, that I have not tried to access all since the update to El Capitan).

I used first aid utility disk several times, and no problems have been reported. I used the version of El Capitan permanently.

I can't understand why, after erasing the MacIntosh HD to do it again, I can't get the iMac to download the MacOS and reinstall.

    A couple of clues-

    • After his clear utility drive always reports what is MacIntosh HD. (When I restart, the dialog "Select Start Drive" only shows the volume of the Mavericks and eDrive)
    • Disk utility also shows "Apple Disk Image/OS X Base System."  OF THE said that it is ejection. But this button does not work.  I suspect it's what might stop download me the installer and start again.

I used e-drive to check the iMac and, in particular, the drive HARD; even performed a surface scan.  No problems have been reported.

Your 2007 iMac is too old to download OS X, you need to install OS X since the recovery partition directly. If this does not work then Yes, something is wrong with your HD run Apple Hardware Test Mode Extended 2 - 3 times back to back, if errors appear which confirms what I said. You will need the original DVD that came with the computer in order to run it.

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard on both of my computers.

Some time previously, one crashed my computer and I had to reinstall the operating system and all applications.

After you install Acrobat 9 special and differential treatment in the computer once, I wanted to update the update of the version 9.0.0 software to the same level as it was before the crash and that the other computer has version named 9.5.5.

The update to version 9.0.0 system does not at all. 'There is no update' listed in the dialog box.

Can you advise how to get my Adobo Acrobat 9 Standard (Version 9.0.0) could be updated to the same level it had before the accident.

  • XP SP3 no sound after reinstalling the operating system

    Hello

I have re-installed the SP3 of XP on my Toshiba laptop and it has no sound after that. You may have installed the operating system in "secret" mode and so there is no sound.

I checked the audio settings are that all settings are correct.

Is it possible to go back again to the sound.

    Kind regards

    R

    Hi RAJRAU,

You can try to check if the onboard sound is disabled by checking the advanced settings of the BIOS.

If so, try allowing it and see if it helps.

You can see the manual of the system manufacturer or contact the system manufacturer for more information on how to make the changes in the BIOS.

Note: Change to the BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

You can also read the following article and try the steps to solve the sound problem:

  • After the reinstallation of the operating system on my A30, the player will stop recognizing DVDs

HI I HAVE RECENTLY REINSTALLED MY OPERATING SYSTEM USING THE DRIVES SYSTEM OF TOSHIBA AND NOW MY PLAYER SD-R2412 CEASED TO DETECT AND KINDS OF DVD.

AFTER LOOKING AT THE FORUMS, I'M STILL CONFUSED FOR THE ANSWER TO THIS PROBLEM. I DON'T KNOW IF ITS THE DRIVE, THE SYSTEM, DRIVERS OR WHAT.

ITS AN A30 SERIES PRESENTED AT THE DEC 03. Help, please.

    Hello UCS

The fact is: If the unit is pre-installed with original recovery media, the installation is absolutely clean and all hardware components are installed with the correct driver.

What is the State of the drive in Device Manager? The drive is recognized in Windows Explorer? Please check the functionality with the original DVD movies? If there is no success, I guess the drive is faulty, and it is unclear to me that you can remedy this by using a firmware or something like that.

In my opinion this isn't a problem with the operating system. It may be just a malfunction of the DVD drive.

  • System was originally shipped with Windows 7, I had fixed it, but the operating system has been changed to XP. Can I use the product key on the side to reinstall Windows 7?

Reinstalling windows 7 after re-start of windows xp

I bought my Asus computer came with windows 7 installed, earlier this year, I encountered a problem with the blue screen to come and I was unable to fix it, when I had my computer repaired they changed the operating system to windows xp, I was wondering if with registration # or whatever is on the side if I could download and reinstall Windows 7

If the product key on the side of your machine is for Windows 7 and where-ever you guessed it "repaired" installed Windows XP - the real question becomes where they got a product key for Windows XP?

You have the installation media for the copy of Windows 7 OEM which is preinstalled on your computer?

If not - you will probably need to contact Asus (this laptop?) over media restore and/or check to see if the "repair" left any which restoration method should have been used intact.

  • I have replaced my hd, reinstalled the operating system, but you forgot to activate vista. How can I solve the problem?

After that my hd, I decided to replace it as well as reinstall Vista Home Basic using the system recovery disk, that I bought at HP in 2007. My laptop is a pavilion dv6000 with Vista 32 bit.

Unfortunately I didn't, I had to turn my copy of vista on my pc within 30 days, since I got my pc sometimes without incurring in this issue. I tried to insert the cd in the back of my pc key, but to understand that no longer works, so I tried with the new cd key of my drive to restore but that no longer works.
