After burning .wmv on DVD, it will not play on a DVD player

Original title: Save as one file other than .wmv

After that I recorded my video (such as a .wmv file) and burn it to a DVD, it won't play on any DVD players. The saved file can be converted to another type that will play on most DVD players? Or even recorded under one of these files?

DVD player, that I hooked up to my TV plays .wmv files that I take with my camera. I do not use the DVD program supplied with Win7 however. Roxio DVD Creator. But there are free converters out there. I actually convert mine by default the camera MOV to WMV for distribution by e-mail.

  • music on mp3 player will not play on a cd player

Over the months, I downloaded music will play on laptop and car cd player, but will not play on a cd device at home.

What wav is the correct word I use songs then play on any device, and I can mp3 player changed songs so I don't have to download the songs again, as there are a lot of songs that play on their, portable cd player and car, but not on any other device CD.

    Hello

Most of the CD players support AAC, WAV file formats. However, I can't guarantee that your CD player will support these file formats. Consult the User Guide for the CD or Web site so that it supports the file formats.

Or let us know the make a model of your CD player, I'll try to get the details for you.

    I hope this helps!

  • How is it when I create a my library playlist & burn it will not play on my CD player

HOW IS IT WHEN I CREATE A PLAYLIST OF MY LIBRARY, IT WON'T PLAY ON MY CD PLAYER

    Hi Betty942,

If you burn a disc of data with music files and it plays in your laptop, home or a car CD player, check the following:

    • Your CD player may not support playback of CD or data DVD discs. Refer to the documentation for the CD Player for more details.
    • The CD can be burned to media, such as CD - RW, which is not compatible with the CD player. Refer to the documentation for the CD Player for more details.
    • Your CD player may not support playback of the type of music files burned on the disc (WMA or MP3). Refer to the documentation for the CD Player for more details.
    • The songs may be protected by copyrights. Other computers may be able to acquire usage rights and play the songs if they have a connection to the Internet, but devices such as radio cars and portable CD players will not be able to acquire these rights, so protected content will be unplayable.
    • The CD cannot have been closed when it burned. You can usually solve this problem by adding more songs to the burn list, then you are close to the maximum capacity of the CD. Then, try to burn the list again for a new CD.

  • MOD (JVC's Everio camcorder file extension) files will not play on windows media player and will not be imported on windows movie maker (on windows Vista Home Basic)

Hi I have a JVC's Everio camcorder. This unit uses a strange video file extension (is MOD). I try to play these video files on windows media player, but it won't play. I also tried to import these files into windows movie maker, but he won't.
Please give me a solution. I would be grateful for any ideas.

    Hello, thekissfan

Please use the Forum for answers!

I'm moving your message to the sounds and the media.

Rename the extension .mpg video and see if you are able to view them.

If this is not the case, check with JVC for instructions on how to edit video files.

    I hope this helps.

Yes, rename the files MOD xxx.mpg worth trying...

If this does not work... you need to convert a compatible

  • DRM will not play on Windows Media Player

For years, I've been downloading audiobooks (WMA) of Overdrive and listen to them on my computer.  The DRM has never been a problem.  Suddenly he is now.  Whenever I try to play a protected file, I get the "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem when reading this file."

I scanned this forum and others.  I carefully and repeatedly followed the instructions given here.  I used ResetDRM (once again, repeatedly).  And the result is always the same.  I can play video files, mp3s and wma files not protected to my heart's content.  No problem.  But DRM won't work.  After that I run ResetDRM, WMP says to update software to play a DRM file.  Let him do it.  And then I get the SAME error.

I am at a loss.  Can someone help me?  Please?

    Hello

  • Facebook videos will not play with Droid Video Player

I tried Facebook Facebook app and both gave me the same error.

    Error

File may not be displayed or played.

He also gave me the opportunity to play with QuickPic which also gave me another error:

    Cannot play video

Sorry, this video cannot be played.

I tried on several videos that I downloaded from my phone and my wife could very well play with his crush and was quick to say that it was because his phone was better than mine. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... UH no, it really isn't, but it's boring and bad!

Downloaded MX Video Player and now it works fine. The installed video player is obviously crap.

Guess that's one good thing about most of the bugs and problems with Android is that there is usually a work-around or an APP for that.

  • Video of Smartphones blackBerry will not play since the 4.5 upgrade?

I upgraded to 4.5 a few weeks ago (with T-Mobile 8320 curve) and all of the videos that I try to put on my phone now in WMV, AVI, format etc. will not play.  Either I get a red error box saying the file is incompatible or she acts like she is going to play, but he won't play.  I've never had to convert WMV before playing on the previous operating system for the phone (4.2.2), they always played!  So I tried converting them with the Media Manager, some won't still play, and those who have a black border around the video where almost 1/4 of the screen is blank with no video (and Yes, I have 'full screen' selected).

What is the problem with the video and 4.5?  What file formats does work now?  I don't understand why they took the opportunity to read these formats.  Always be a problem with everything these days...

I tried AkmeFFmpeg and it worked like a charm... full screen and everything!  Very strange... I tell you it's the OS!  I've never used this program before when I got 4.2.2 and I never had problems.  But whatever, problem solved now.

    Thank you.

  • Burned DVD will not play on a DVD player

I downloaded a 22 minute video I want to burn to a DVD in my DVD player.  I tried on the DVD-R and DVD + R.  They burn the disk but will not play on the DVD player.  The error message indicates that the reading is not available on this disc.  I used the windows search support to problem solve on my own, but have had no success.  I made sure that I am selecting the option of CD/DVD drive to use the ISO image format.  I entered my option and I have no filters.  I have the video on NTSC format since I'm Pennsylvania / U.S..  I have not tried burning on slow or average speed because it burns the DVD without problem it just will not playback on the DVD player.  What do you recommend as my next plan of action for troubleshooting.

I guess that the video is not DVD compatible Mpeg2.  According to the DVD player, some will play other formats, too.  If there is no program for video on the computer, try Windows Movie Maker (free) to see if the video will too be converted to standard DVD Mpeg2.
