Hi all

There is a note "Please insert... recovery CD. ».
How I supposed to do? If I re - install windows, I m using the original windows Vista and I haven t done a recovery CD...
Thank you

Hello

Can you please tell me why you play with partitions if you didn't create recovery DVDs?

Have you seen this Toshiba recall:
* Important INFORMATION *.

* your system is equipped with a hard drive recovery system. If you need repair *.
* your computer in the restaurant to original factory State, you can do it directly *.
* from the HDD (press F8 when you start your computer, choose 'Repair your computer' *)
* and follow the instructions in the menu) or create a bootable recovery for this fin.* drive carrier

* Toshiba recommends you create recovery disk medium using the "Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator."
* to ensure that you are able to restore your computer to the factory installed state, even if your computer is severely damaged.*

I don't know what you did exactly, but you have big problem now. Recovery image cannot be used for the installation of the OS more and cannot create recovery DVDs too.
What you can do now is to order the new DVD of recovery under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

Sorry mate :(

    Hello

I messed up and followed some bad advice.  Water under the bridge, but I want to recover my bootcamp partition if possible.  I've seen several messages with the right process, but decided to post hear instead of assumptions.  I am running OS X El Capitan on an early 2011 MacBook Pro.  My 256 GB SSD is a bit pressed and tried to be too stingy with the Boot Camp partition, so my current troubles after resizing.  I have 10 Windows on the bootcamp partition.

I'm going to throw a bunch of data from my survey here.

    Toshiba Satelite C850-B516

    # Problem, it is that your recovery image is useless now. When you want to use the external device for installation of recovery image is must be created as device start and it can be done if you use the preinstalled recovery media creator.

Recovery image is saved on the HARD drive and fixed with the so-called markers. Recovery media creator can find these markers and start using the recovery saved on the HARD disk image. After changing structure of HARD disk partitions these markers disappeared and this is the reason why you see this error message.

I'm afraid you must order now new recovery m FRO Toshiba drive and you can do it on - https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

There are a few reasons for this message error. It is possible that the hard drive has failed. I would first start by run the self test on the hard drive rack. Since it is a drive error, it would be the best place to start. Follow the steps here on how to run a HDD test

  • No boot device after changing the partitions

Hi all. I've lost the ability to start in my Windows partition through bootcamp. When I use startup disk system prefs. OSX, he can see Bootcamp, but rebooting produces an error message "no boot device." If I hold the alt key while rebooting, I can only see the Macintosh HD, without bootcamp (or recovery, by the way). I can see the Bootcamp drive on the desktop, so I can use Parallels to run Windows based on this drive, I know that the drive itself is ok.

I did a fair bit of mucking partitions. I decreased my Macintosh HD partition and inserted a new Macintosh HD and Bootcamp. Then, things are funky, and I created a volume of CoreStorage on top of Macintosh HD and it is associated with a partition on an SD card (created a fusion DIY with a TarDiskreader). All this worked fine and I now had a huge hard drive Macintosh and boots fine Mac, Parallels works fine, but I can't start natively in Bootcamp.

    Can someone help, please?

  • X 1 carbon (Gen3 20BS) may not start, nothing else than to the BIOS

Yesterday I had a few pilots, as well as the update of the BIOS updates. BIOS seems to update successful (now its 1,14), all under BIOS works. I had 2 OS: win10 and Ubuntu with grub. I've been a happy user of all these for several months, but...

The problem is that I can't start any OS or OS installation even after an update of pilot (which was done through Lenovo utility for Win10)! Recovery ISOs, diagnostic tools... Nothing can be started. BTW, I know how to deal with secure boot and legacy mode. I can handle start the process of starting anything listed above, but they all have the same behavior. That they freeze at the beginning. Everything that involves just ACPI hangs at startup. Linux crashes after the message "ACPI Tables successfully asked" or sth like that. Win10 displays the points that go around 1 second and then crashes. If I add "acpi = off" to Linux boot options, it starts (but almost nothing works there without acpi support). Things that do not work for ACPI. For example, I can update the BIOS of drinks ISOS. It still does not help because my BIOS version is the most recent and it does not restore.

It cannot be the hardware problem such as it appeared after Windows drivers updated and flashed a firmware (not BIOS, but I don't know what it was exactly). I can access the data on the SSD and you can see some newspapers if necessary.

Hope of assistance how Flash again all the firmware on laptop boot USB possible? What can be flashed with the exception of the BIOS?

In response to customer relationships which, after a BIOS update to some ThinkPads, the system may not start, suspended at the Windows startup screen, Lenovo provided a Service COUNCIL detailing workaround. A permanent solution is provided through future BIOS update.

The Service TIP can be found here: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/sf16-t0079

  • Bootcamp (Win10) has not started after you changed the partition and updated at El Cap.

I have a MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, end of 2013), 2 GHz Intel Core i7 with 8 GB of Ram.

I had 2 system installed, Win 10 + Yosemite from the windows of beginning and the use of most of the time.

Yesterday, I ran out of disk space and passed the partition in OS X with disk utility.

While I changed the partition and I also upgraded to the El Cap.

After all, I can't start by winning 10 more, although I could see my windows in the startup disk Control Panel.

I checked some thread here and mess with command autour terminal, but nothing has worked for me.

  • HARD does not work after changing the disk partitions recovery media creator

    Hello world

After installing windoows 8.1 April major upgrade (win 8.1 presents as OEM), and have shrunk C partition to create a data partition "D", "Troubleshooting" option under advanced start menu is no longer available.

Toshiba Recovery Media Creator does not work, too (it can not find any hard disk recovery partion).
I got in the OEM recovery partition.
I am also able to create a recovery using the Windows tool unit.
You have no idea about it?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

Sorry to hear about all this. Unfortunately, you now have a big problem. I don't understand why you didn't create support of recovery before you started to change the factory settings, including to change the structure of the partitions of HARD drive.

Mobile offered with factory settings a structure specific partitions and recovery recorded image is saved on the partition of drive specific and marked with invisible markers. These markers are visible for preinstalled Toshiba recovery media creator tool and when you start the tool can find points of reference and has full access to specific files.

Unfortunately, after changing the original scores structure Toshiba tool cannot find these markers more and is not able to copy files from recovery media recovery. What you need now is the original recovery disk. Using this disk, you can install original recovery image and after doing this, you will have new factory settings.

I know it sounds stupid now but you must order the original recovery disk and it can be done on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

A few days ago, I made a change to the boot.ini file. But since XP Pro was not starting at all.

I tried XP Pro to start first that the default partition.

Given that XP Pro and my D: drive have not been starting, I consulted the boot.ini file in C:, Windows 7 partition and I changed the order (i.e. partition No.) in the boot.ini file and saved it to the required location, i.e. D:/WINDOWS/pss.
through my drive C: of work, i.e. the partition of Windows 7, but it still does not work because apparently even though I save here, the actual values and the paths of the partition are not actually be changed on the system. I confirmed this by going into the CMD shell switching to D: and by running the command D: > bootcfg.
Apparently any values I save in the boot.ini file that I save as a text file or "All files" in D:/WINDOWS/pss/it does not actually change in the system because whenever I run the command bootfg values are remaining still and not able to be changed, because apparently it is not saved in XP Pro and the D : partition. No matter what I do and what I put in the boot.ini file to access the values through the windows 7 partition, the values that bootcfg returns me are always the same and he refuses to change the name of path or anything else. No matter what orders, I also put in bootcfg himself.

These are the values that bootcfg gives me:
    default: multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS

    Boot entries:
    Boot entry ID: 1
Friendly name of operating system: MS Windows XP Professional
    Path: multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS
The operating system load options: / noexecute = OPTIN/FASTDETECT/usepmtimer

My XP Pro partition is simply not booting, and it of my main partition and has all my work. It is imperative that it starts.

My Windows CD is also not start because apparently my DVD drive does not work properly, I had the anti malware threatfire (ThreatFire) installed on my XP D:Windows program disk but have uninstalled just in case it was blocking my changes to the system.

On C:Win7, I put the default operating system option in the Advanced tab for Win7 and the D:XP Pro to XP Pro, when he was the starter and work. Now I can only access my files D:XP Pro Player C:Win7. But XP is not just start. What shd - I do? Thks.

I don't have a very practical windows CD but my CD/DVD drive is not read and does not properly.

Looks like your original post stated that your cd/dvd does not work.

Respectfully, you will continue these hap hazard patches and your computer will not start at all. I'll try to help you once again. Please follow closely.

Start your computer by loading Windows 7. Click HERE and download EasyBCD. Install the software in trial version. Once installation is complete open EasyBCD. You will see an interface like the image below. Click Add a new entry.

A new screen appears as in the image below. Use the drop down menu to select Windows NT / 2 k/XP / 2 k 3 as described below. Type the name of the operating system in the box below. Of course, it will be Windows Xp (you can add the home or Pro to the name if you want). Make sure now that there is a check mark in the box "automatically detect the correct player. Once you have completed these steps click on 'add an entry '. That's all! You are finished. If all goes well, and if you have followed these steps carefully, there, now you have a system dual boot.

You can now start working on your cd/dvd problem.

  • OptiPlex 755 USFF does not start after changing the cmos battery

I have a desktop Optiplex 755 USFF requiring the cmos battery to replace. After the replacement of the computer will not start. It brings up the menu windows start, the sasfe mode, safe mode with network set mode command prompt, security, last know good configuration and boot normally. Any option will bring to the top of the WIndows XP loading screen and then re-boot of the computer right back to the start screen. A big loop. I can get the hard drive to boot in an Optiplex GX280 without problem. I was told of the motherboard needs to be replaced, but I changed the units of the system and the same thing with this hard drive.

I tried to reinstall the operating system and get all the way to "starting windows" and then the blue screen stop error message 0x0000007B (0xF7A10524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) dead. The computer is WIndows XP SP3, 1 GB of ram with 80 GB hard drive. It seems that the Setup program does not recognize the hard drive.

    Any help would be appreciated.

After several hours of experimentation, I finally found the correct BIOS settings in order to get the computer to boot. There are three BIOS settings that need to be changed or check settings by default so that it can work. SATA 0 must be activated, SATA operations must be changed from AHCI, ATA and in the modular Bay, by default "far-sighted" should be replaced by the IDE. Save the settings and start the computer to the right upwards.

  • Why an amplification of the RAM does not change the index performnance of windows vista?

Why an amplification of the RAM does not change the index performnance of windows Vista?

    Hello

I m not very well, but maybe you have more than 3 GB of RAM and Vista 32 bit.
Usually the 32 bit OS is capable to manage and send only 3.2 GB.
The more than 3.2 GB RAM will not operating system used and therefore would not increase the index
In addition the laptop will be not really faster after upgrading RAM. You will notice better performance using applications at the same time, but this does not affect the index of Vista.
But this is only my personal hypothesis.

    Welcome them

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

Ideas: Dell Inspiron Laptop with Vista installed at the factory does not start. The display shows

Indicator of treatment MM061 series white 80% in all of the BIOS revision A13 treatment indicator always goes to the same place and stops. I tried to tap the F8 key, but nothing happens.

If you used Dell or the recovery Partition recovery disks to restore the system, you must talk about Dell problem because it's their software - not Microsoft.  We don't know what's on it or its operation.  We have no information to help us help you.  You need to deal with them.

Sorry we can't be more helpful.

    Good luck!

  • HP 6520 will not work after changing the black ink cartridges

Changed the cartridges and now black ink will not work. This is the second or third time only to change the cartridges - did not have a problem before, but of course, it is while the printer was still under warranty. It is now about a year and a half.

I used all the suggested diagnosis - head cleaned, head aligned, etc, etc, etc, and nothing has helped.

The black cartridge worked after the swap, but with a few lines do not print or missing--now produces almost nothing.

Cartridges color was wonderful at the beginning of the troubleshooting process, but now they're starting to not look right - with spare no effort to correct the print head, he seems to be making it worse.

    Suggestions?

  • Vista 64-bit Black Screen of Death, with just a mobile available slider, the system does not start in safe mode.

My system worked properly on 25 April and then something happened and now the machine comes back with "Start menu options" but will not start in one of the listed options, modes result in the same outcome.  System also starts on the Vista CD.

System begins to boot normally, shows the tracer Green Windows at the bottom of the screen, then the mouse pointer appears and moves but the rest of the screen remains black.

That's it, that's all what he will do.  I checked the settings of the computer and ran the diagnostic tests available and everything seems to go fine and passes all the tests.

I worked on my own computers for over 20 years and never been stumped before, but I must say this is a first, and I have no idea what to try to do it now.

    Help or direction is appreciated.

original title: Vista 64-bit Black Screen of Death, with just a mobile available slider, the system does not start in safe mode.

See if there is a way to tecover clean your data before doing a restore to conditions of factory that will wipe the drive of all.  You can use Knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html with a good ISO as Copier: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm as well as a blank CD (which you will need to do on another computer).  Starting on this disc and lla should give you enough access to the system (if you do not have any other means) to backup your important data.

So since you seem to have no other alernatives, you can try retoring the original factory computer options. However, if it is a hardware problem as could very well be the case, you can still encounter problems after even this drastic step.  Then you will need to consider in a reputable computer repair shop (NOT Geek Squad or or a any of these big store centers) or maybe even go back to the manufacturer for repair.   Check out several options and compare the costs, quality and guaranteed and then make your best decision.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
